You can actually just right click an exe file to add it to steam (with the « Add To Steam » button) which is way faster

My steam deck freezes when i open modmanger.ui.exe… i extracted files twice into root i think an cant get it sorted

Your videos are always so helpful! Could you so tutorial on how to get mods running on Res 4 remake with fluffy mod manager? I tried doing it buy REFrame work crashes my game.
Did you watch my videos of reframework and fluffy mod manager for monster hunter rise? It should be the same process.
I did and followed the steps but I get the crash tool screen when loading a game or starting a new game. When I remove REFrame work the game crashes after the last logo when the game starts.@GrownUpGamingGUG

Last question I got the mods to work . If I delete the game and return install it do I have to reinstall all the stuff that we had to put in the game directories the like 4 things or w.e that says all his goes in game

Would you please make a video on how to use Mod Loader 2 on Steam Deck? It's used to mod Elden Ring and Armored Core 6, and I can't get it working because it uses .bat files on Windows. Any ideas would help me quite a bit. Thank you!

Also quick edit - If you do decide to make a video, please focus on Armored Core 6, as that is what has me stumped. Mod Loader 2 was updated with AC6 support, and though the game launches without any issues, it seems like the mods are just not being picked up by the launcher. As far as I can tell, there's no dinput.dll to be had here, either. So I simply don't know.

You mean the WINEDLLOVERRIDES? You can actually run protontricks, then select run winecfg, select libraries tab, add version in the overrides tab. That what you don't need to use launch options code.
What proton version are you running the game on in this video?
Proton-experimental but it was a while back, I'm sure the proton has been updated since then.
Hey I’d love some help, I’ve followed all of the steps and redone them a few times 😂 and can’t seem to get it to work. The mod loader also doesn’t seem to show any of the mods I’ve downloaded to it once I close the mod loader and reopen it. Although when I try to reinstall it tells me they are there and if I’d like to override and replace them which I’ve also done. Does the code have a space before the %COMMAND%

It works the same for both steam and non-steam versions but I think you're confused about the WINEDLLOVERRIDES part with winecfg. There's an easier way, in the launch options type: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %COMMAND%

@@krwalks1700 version.dll or dinput8.dll are just asi loaders to load the mod so just one of them is ok.

No, this would not unstuck your game.
I would get mods for steam deck but usually I’m too stupid to understand and I’m afraid to get a virus (which happened to my laptop). How can I make sure that I’m virus free on the steam deck and what do I do if I get one?
I would say don't mod if you're afraid and if you have to mod your game for some reason and you have to be sure it's virus free then go to a public library and borrow their computer and test the mods on the game first and make sure it's safe and probably run some antivirus software. But what's on your steam deck that's so important? I'm just using it as a gaming device. If you do e-banking and put critical data on it then I wouldn't risk it for a game mod 😂

Try downloading a different asi loader.

You don't have to, I just use it to make sure the setup is working.
What are the commands to open up the trainer?

Followed every step. No dice. Nothing working. Is it because i have it downloaded on sd card? I linked the game folder to common on the home. But no dice.

It's ok though because modmanager ui is also not working no matter how many ways I try or redownload.

Try hold steam button and use right touchpad as mouse and R2 as left mouse click.
How to install Rampage trainer? Also use Lenny mod loader? Need ASI Loader as well?
You just download rampage trainer mod, it's a zip file. Extract it to the root of the game like LML. Since you already have the asi loader installed from LML, rampage trainer just works.

You can put them anywhere, you just link the mod in LML.

Try connecting a keyboard mouse then. I just use the steam button (hold) + right touchpad as mouse and R2 as left mouse click.

How do I access my SD card? That’s where my RDR2 is installed
If you chose to install on your SD card, if it's steam version, should have a directory called steam library.
Wish button do you press for the mods menu ?
For rampage trainer default should be RB + A.

For the love of god i can’t get my Playable Sadie Adler, guntricks, or any other “asi” mod to work. Only thing that works is Rampage trainer. Does it matter that my game is on an SD card?
What's the issue?
There are mods that go straight into your directory the mods ends with .asi
Like guntricks or unlimited whistle distance for horses. They worked on PC but not on steam deck. Maybe the game was updated awhile back idk.
And my sadie adler mods won’t work with LML either way. They also worked with PC.

I don't think so but you could try move it to test it out.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG So when I get on Lenny‘s mod loader, I seem to be able to install stuff manually but the mod loader EXE basically doesn’t work when I put the directory in for the game folder. It is not accepted and it’s pretty buggy so I am able to install the mods manually but as you know some mods do need to go through the mad loader I appreciate the reply because I really do need the help

Im stuck at 3:08. I opened the "common" folder and can't find the Red Ded Redemption folder. What do i do now? Im new to all this, and im trying to follow this video step by step, but now im stuck and dont know what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.
Side note: my game file is saved on a microSD card.. maybe thats the issue, which is why it's not showing up in my steam common folder.
Is your game steam version? Open steam and right click the game, select browse folder location.

Did you mean "Steam" through desktop mode on the deck? Im not familiar with Steam at all cause I've always been a console type of guy. This is my first time playing/using a PC type of handheld device.

Okay so I've done everything right but the mods won't show up on lml. It says installed but they're not showing up on the mods tab.

Yes it works both on desktop and gaming mode.
I don't know what I did when I installed this like 2 months ago but Lenny's mod loader doesn't show the mods I put. I just dragged them into LML drag and drop sometimes unzip them and they work 🤣😭

The peds overhaul damage thing was working I could tell because dogs died weird they stayed up frozen when gone 🤣 and people were falling way more realistic .after trying now again it made them stop working 🤣 . I just drag and drop the file into lml folder unzip and most of them work .
What if we have this on Rockstar games?
I think it would work, just the game location is different. But I don't have the rockstar version to test it out.

Great tutorial! What would I have to type in the launch options to get both version.dll AND scripthook to work simultaneously? A lot of mods require scripthook.
UPDATE: For anyone with the same issue, typing in WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version,dinput8,ScriptHookRDR2=n,b" %COMMAND% is what works.

But they’ve stopped supporting this game now from what I’ve heard. Every lobby I get into has modders, and it looks quite fun. I just wanted to have online mods but it seems impossible
