This part looks at the compatibility with Mega Drive cartridges, starting with the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
Fun fact: Despite the audio of the versions of the Sega games being the same, in the American AtGames version it will be reproduced with a slightly different audio but at the same pace as the original. Instead in the PAL version,Although the audio of the games has the same speed as the American and Japanese versions, in the European version of the AtGames version the audio will be played at a different speed, i.e. x0.75

Knuckles in Sonic 2 works but not Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Though Lethal Enforcers I and II (Gun Fighters) aren't included, the presence of Mega Drive controller ports for 1P and 2P, composite video output and Mega Drive cartridge slots can make Lethal Enforcers I and II (Gun Fighters) playable. I haven't seen anyone online do that.
I have the 2017 model of this,which it's ok,they fixed the sprite issues on sonic 2 and 3,not sure about the other games that had sprite issues though,the sound still seems to be the same,though,i just got a model 2 genesis,this inspired me to get one,i have a few games on the way
Sonic 3 and Knuckles DOES work just requires alot of blowing in and out of the cartridges and tilting them.
It worked for me too, but my console then broke after a few mins of play. I NEVER found out why.
That's very risky because they are rare games or I could properly use Sonic 3 Complete
THE MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE HELL
The reason why the music was so damn fast is because you had the thing set to NTSC when playing the PAL cartridges. For correct game speed you have to play PAL cartridges on PAL setting and NTSC Genesis and Japanese cartridges on NTSC setting. Thats also why the sprites were glitchy. Not supposed to mix vice/versa with each other.
As for the shitty sound, the cheap console is to blame for that.

Sonic three and knuckles worked on my atgames sega mega drive once and only once
I kinda like the fast sounding, messed-up sound of the intro of when you try to run the PAL versions of some of the games.
I actually have a lot of nostalgia for at games
But it’s not good nostalgia, it’s that embarrassing nostalgia
When you blow in the cartridge your screwing it up.
The sound chips on the Atgames sounds kinda creepy
I found out from videos later models fixed sonic 3 but idk if its the pal version or the USA Version

if you want it slowed down, get a PAL model. It slows everything down like Sonic 1 50Hz

Well Sonic & Knuckles cartrigde isn´t reading very well Sonic 3 cartridge and maybe the lock in part of Sonic & Knuckles is destroid with the time!
It works perfectly fine on my original Mega Drive
Emperix Or maybe it´s of the AtGames Mega Drive, i have one but i only have SOnic & Knuckles cartridge and it works perfectly, like yours!
It is because some cartridges don't work on the atgames genesis/mega drive because it was intended just for the Sega version it even warns some cartridges don't work because what they were intended for.
The AtGames Mega Drive Twin Pad Player made the following errors:
Sonic 1 (NTSC-J) cartridge signals the NTSC-U version (REV01).
Sonic 2 (NTSC-U) cartridge signals the PAL version.
Sonic & Knuckles (PAL) cartridge signals the Asian (PAL) version.
Knuckles in Sonic 2 (PAL) signals the Asian (PAL) version.

Yeah I spent way too much time trying to figure out why Sonic 3 and Knuckles wouldn't work on this console. Sonic 2 with Sonic and Knuckles no problem but not Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
I just gave up in the end. It didn't matter what combination of S3&K you used, it only ever loaded S&K.

EDIT: 2 To Make Sonic 3 And Knuckles Work. You Need To Do Cartridge Tilting Just Pull Out Sonic 3 When It’s On Top Of Sonic And Knuckles When The Console Is On And When You See A Light Blue Sega Logo Or White Borders That Is A Sign You Got Sonic 3 And Knuckles To Work.

The speeds are slower on model models what I found out so I say get the portable one with the SD Card reader because you can fix the audio with a simple loader
mine dont glitch so mutch,but it is the h&b 2011 revision,without switch behind (autodetected)
and wireless controlers (they suck)
sound still suck but everything else is more compatible

There's a sound fix now but it only works with models with an SD card slot.
I bought this console's Street of Rage edition version and Sonic 1 because I those were really cheap. It was really funny to play the 'drunk' version of Sonic. :D
Thats Funny because i have the british version by blaze and sonic 2 and 3 work perfectly in mine but mine dosnt have colums 3,sonic spinball,shinobi 3, and most of the others built in them mine has sonic and knuckles arrow flash eswat altered beast and a few more
@SweMonkey - It's still got it, just wrapped up in a horrible software emulator built into a Titan ARM core. Seriously, what good is the "Blast Processing" if the rest of the hardware(or in this case, software, since this runs on a crappy emulator rather than proper MegaDrive hardware) is shit?
Maybe it was faster because it was run on 60 Hz so when adding the game it run at 70 Hz

I have the Streets of Rage edition of this console and the music is terrible with it. But it is fun to play 'drunk' version of the Mega Drive Sonic. :)

It flat out doesn’t work
Neither does virtua racing.
I believe the problem has to do with poor emulation. Since both sonic 3&k and vr use special chips the console can’t use it.
Although that still begs the question of how sonic 2 works

Sonic and knuckles has two rom chips in it, one chip is sonic&knuckles, and the other is a patch for sonic 2. With sonic 2 it applys the patch, and then plays the data off the sonic 2 cartridge. With sonic 3&knuckles I believe it combines the data, like it reads the header, realizes “hey! This is sonic 3” and plays sonic 3&knuckles with the combined data. However, sonic3&k cannot combine data with cartridges over 20mb in size. So what I think is happening is, the at games menu, is a genesis rom, so when you insert sonic3&knuckles, the menu pushes the file limit over that 20mb limit. But only with s3&k, which is why the sonic 1 cart also still works.

The problems are from a bad emulator called firecore
that's not an emulator. i believe that's the name of the software used to compile the roms together. the atgames hardware seems to be run by a bootleg genesis on a chip
