    Absolutely fantastic product and a great easy to follow to guide, thank you very much on both counts.
    As a side note I drive a 2006 TD5 90 and my head lamp rears are fitted with bowls - easy to drill routing holes without removing.
    A very happy customer.

    Thanks! I didn't buy my lights from you but this guide was perfect. One very happy 90 owner here. Cheers

      I'll have a look at your site for future upgrades. I fitted mine on a 2.4 Tdci, the ignition live is the Orange wire going into the heater blower motor (for anyone wondering). Thanks again.

    Thanks for what looks like a v useful guide. Sorry but I'm fairly new to electrics: Seems a lot of people online have installed relays on their headlights because of inadequate stock wiring/switches. Is that what's going on here with the power coming the heater line & the yellow wires just picking up the signal from the other lines? Also, how much brighter than the stock headlights are these (ie do you have figures)? Thanks!

    I have just fitted to TD5, year 2000 and I find the dipped headlights are on when supposed to be just sidelights. Have I done something wrong? Before installing the lights the dipped headlights would be on but dim in the sidelight setting. Thanks.

    Hi Alex, thanks for the good video. Just received in France from GetOffRoad a pair of Halos P/N G05-001-003, to be installed on my Defender TD4 2,4 (122 hour), PUMA engine. Question: the wiring installation procedure is it exactly the same as on your video, and if yes, can you help to localise the 3-pin connector heater on this engine as at the end of your video? Cheers, Greg

    Hi, I have been told that these will also fit the Triumph Spitfire 1974 mk4. The lamp units that I've seen don't have the screws built into them like yours do, but are otherwise identical. What do I do if mine don't have those?

    Is it the same wiring sequence and / or will these cause any Canbus problems on a LHD 2009 Defender 110 Station Wagon, plus, do you know if they are EU compliant as I live in Spain, hence LHD. Excellent video ;-)

    What is the black box in the loom

    I bought these lights already but wire is too short to reach the Heater motor pin connector. What kind of wire you used to extend the Halo wire loom? (sorry about the silly question)

      Hi you can go as low as 0.5mm, we used 1mm square cross-section cable which is rated at 8.75 Amp but that was more than enough. Any other questions please feel free to ask.

      Amazing. What do you use to solder the cables?

    • @getoffroad-uklandroverpart6165
      @getoffroad-uklandroverpart6165  Před 5 lety

      Any standard soldering iron and solder, you can use crimp connectors if you dont want to solder

    Video and comments very useful for an easy install but just been told by MOT centre that the beam pattern does not meet UK requirements and that they are illegal. I just went in to double check my installation and to get advice on how to "adapt" for driving in France next week.
    Will get a second opinion from another centre and waiting for getoffroad to respond to me but wondering if any of you have had any alignment or MOT issues.
    Other comment would be that full beam seems to make no difference to viability, just a slightly brighter spot within the dipped pattern. Anyone?

      @getoffroad-uklandroverpart6165  Před 6 lety

      Hey, we have had one or two MOT centres tell people the same thing but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the pattern. They have taken them to a second centre and they have always passed. There is no need to adjust these for driving in another country as they are a flat pattern beam so they are not handed. With regards to the full beam, this just does give you more of a flood rather than more distance, they are a massive improvement to compared to halogen headlights on dipped.

      Thanks. I’ve booked another MOT provider to get a second opinion and will keep hunting. Also appreciated the no-quibble offer to return the lights or a reduced price on alternatives but I do like the performance of theHalos and the look. Also, thanks for the France advice.

      Sorted, local MOT centre with a little more intelligence made a minor adjustment to the level and confirmed your comment on no need to adjust for driving on the right. Thanks!

      Great news some testers don't quite understand the rules which being their job you would think they would pay more attention. Glad you got it sorted and if there is anything else I can help with please let me know.

    Why are the indicators at the top? They should be at the bottom, other than that the guide is helpful and the pickup at the heater plug is a good idea
