- In this video we are going to be talking about the crafted Defiance of Yasmin. It is currently farmable right now during this week, so you still have a few days to try and get it crafted before you have to wait again. You can also still buy your 1 red border a week at the end of the raid so make sure you do that as well, but this sniper has enhanced opening shot which automatically makes it so much better than a lot of other snipers. Currently the only downside is that is is a kinetic sniper meaning you can pair it with immortal, if you are trying to run that loadout. But if you are just playing to use a sniper and you don't know what to use Defiance is the best sniper you can use 100% so make sure you get this crafted if you don't already have it. Been running no distractions opening shot. Feels great
I know probably not popular choice but Im currently loving slickdraw and opening shot. Slick draw affects weapons with very high aim assist cones but snipers have one of the tiniest cones. So the penalty doesn't do much especially if it's enhanced. It's a learning curve but I love it.

@@HarlequinJitsu Im not saying it's the best. Just saying for me gotten used to slickdraw performance on the sniper especially since the handling boost is pre nerf QuickDraw. For me it's good and gotten used to it.

Sniper/120 has been my loadout for years now. It's interesting to see you using it! Usually people pair with a 140 or smg/sidearm

I don't mind sniper 120 if the 120 has high handling. The only 120s with high enough handling are igneous? Maybe bottom dollar and sturm IMO

I like no distractions opening. 41% flinch resist with tier 7 resil. Even more with unflinching kinetic
if you need that much flinch resistance when sniping you don’t deserve to snipe

Don’t listen to shady that’s a really good build, I’ve tried it before and I’ve landed some really crazy snipes. Not everyone hates your build sherpa!
@@shadyyyvii but flinch is annoying especially with multiple weapons and abilities that can tag you before you see your enemies. there’s a good case to be made for building into flinch resistance

What i hate about it is its scope. I would prefer a cleaner scope than that. Hence, I'm still on the lookout for a 40-zoom sniper in the kinetic slot. Also, i feel there are too many energy snipers than kinetic.

You are 100% correct. The only thing that comes close is surplus snapshot eye of sol or opening shot snap eye. I like my surplus snap roll because it makes it scope in faster then any sniper in the game

I fully crafted it 1st week kingsfall released was Hella lucky with the drops but I don't enjoy using the sniper because the thicc reticle throws me off I really loved this sniper an was my main sniper in D1 so was kinda upset with the reticle change an is the reason I vaulted mine. I use eye of sol tho for kenetic snipers NVR got the old snap opening god roll bk in the day but to me on console feels like the best sniper. My current one is firmly planted an snap

I think they should give a slight headshot damage buff to adaptive snipers just so they can kill supers like DB, I hit a really nice flick on a full health DB today but it didn’t kill him😢, my teammate cleaned up tho
I think Adaptives are good with where they are right now. They've got the most balanced stat distribution amongst all the sniper frames. Great handling, great range, good aim assist, and other stats to mention.
Giving Adaptives the ability to 1-shot supers (outside of damage-increasing stuff like Box Breathing, Vorpal Weapon, etc.) will not only cement Adaptive snipers as the undisputed best sniper frames to use in the Crucible, but will also make Aggressive frame snipers fall into irrelevancy. Gotta balance the 3 frames somehow, especially with how heavily inclined the majority of crucible players are to the Adaptives like Adored/Beloved/DoY/EoS, etc. but that's just my opinion.

In my opinion Mechabre is hands down the best sniper in destiny 2.... I have a roll of Mechabre with Opening Shot, Snapshot Sights, Accurized Rounds and Fluted Barrel with a Stability master work and all i can say is its the crispest, snappiest sniper i have ever used in destiny because of Mechabre i have trouble these days picking up any other sniper because of how good it feels.

flinch has gotten so extrem on snipes that i dont value unflinching/stabilty at all. I either get the first shot kill or I dont. the amount of times I sniped some one through flinch, I can count on one hand.
Same. Could have triple flinch mods, 100 resilience, Woven Mail, 100 stability, no distractions and an immortal shot from 30m will flinch you to the moon, waste of time to try and counter it.

Flinch is a bit unfortunate though. You only really get away with it with high stability, unflinching mods and high resilience. It’s no wonder that Arc Titans main it.
Can we talk about the DSR nerf real quick
The flinch is what makes me snipe less and less. Can't challenge a snipe line without getting donkey kicked by Pulse Rifles

@@PanduhGG btw, dont be surprised if that pad gives you a bit of a rash the first couple days. its a super rough and scratchy pad. just push through it, you wont even feel it after a week.
If u use 1 kinetic targeting i has 73+20+10 aim assist, so the +5 from targeting adjuster doesn't help unless you rapid fire, which based off of this video you dont seem to do. Anyways good video, i would like to see you use the builds in at least 1 comp game for every video so that it's not just 2 Rumble games where you farm afk players :)
he hits so many shots on people who aren’t afk though… also you don’t really need to see comp gameplay to tell if a weapon is good. if the shots are being hit and you like the scope what else is there to know

What does range do for a sniper? I feel like the stat is negligible since in pvp I'm not too far away from opponents. On Defiance of Yasmin I use steady rounds since it gives a bump to airborne effectiveness while changing the range stat.
on longer maps it boosts range at which aimassist still affects bullet
Beloved just too good for me to use anything else for sniper. Wish they would do something to the pvp though I’ve just been playing other games for pvp and destiny pve stuff cause I can’t stand it right now. 3v3 the maps are too big and like corridor fights and 6v6 it’s 2 teams grouped together fighting like 1700’s musket battles lol.
Dude. I have a Occluded Finality that is literally aim hacks. It is unfair in the crucible. I hit snipes with it that I don't hit with any other sniper. It has ruined sniping for me because it is so good. Let me know if you want to try it out.
Defiance isn’t exactly sitting in a good spot for me atm. The main drawbacks for me are the Reticle and how it Flinches: Reticle is too big (imo) and it’s flinch is also glued to the Scope (unlike Beloved/Supremacy/EoS/you get the memo where the reticle deviates but the scope itself stays more static) I would have this on like 500 kills every couple months otherwise. Altho this vid has me wanting to use my DoY now, why do you do this to me Panduh?😂😅

Idk what it is, EoS feels better for me personally. Stats are way better on this crafted, Maybe just the muscle memory with Sol throws this one off.
Tbh snipers in pvp just come down to preference if you got the perks, like all these crazy good snipers exist but my favorite is the albruna d from gambit just cause I like the scope more

1:30 that range you’re getting from accurized is reaching placebo levels. Just run steady rounds to reach that anti-flinch threshold. If you use snipers aggressively, you’ll always be in range guaranteed
the 1.8% antiflinch from steady rounds is pretty irrelevant. range gives you significantly more consistent shots on backmappers. the argument for steady rounds is the +7 ae more than the antiflinch
@@im44789 which is true, but the extra meter and a quarter from accurized is p unremarkable as well for a sniper with 45 zoom too.
@@thegregster3808 range doesn’t add any falloff, but the consistency at range is very noticeable on high range snipers vs low range ones because the range stat is directly tied to the shape of your accuracy cone on these guns. Also Yasmin has 40 zoom, not 45, so range matters more than on a high zoom sniper

The stab mw is a probably not it. You will never in a million years notice a 1% flinch difference, but you will absolutely notice 10 handling or range. I get what you are going for, but given how little 10 stab does, its basically a waste.
Now if you invest fully in stab, fully in unflinching, and fully into unflinch abilities, then yes - that is impactful. But 10 stab in a vacuum is just wasting stats. Running an unflinch mod would accomplish WAY more.

Don't get me wrong. That sniper has great stats. But I feel like the eye of sol adept has should the test of time. Before the snapshot/opening shot role was the go to. But with adept mods you can slap a handling mod on to counter the change in ads speed that we saw as well as a stability mod for the changes that came to flinch
I think Bungie fucks with the sandbox on purpose. There's no other explanation. They made the Immortal render all other weapons useless and irrelevant on purpose. I can't figure out the reason yet, but it is deliberate. What other game developer out there occasionally has their game in a good state and then just decides to completely fuck it for no reason?
I honestly feel like some perks shouldn't roll on some weapon types. Opening shot (literally aim assist on snipers for free) on snipers is the same kind of situation as quickdraw on shotguns, it simply makes all the other weapons of the same type obsolete, especially when it can roll with quickdraw, like what's the point in perk variety then?
I know there is also snapshot, but it pretty much exists on all snipers at this point, but it's a must have PvP perk too.
Edit: At least they managed to pretty much sunset all the good quickdraw shotguns, but I don't think there is a solution to this sniper problem, unless they straight up Nerf both opening shot and snapshot to the ground. Otherwise there is simply no way to create any sniper good enough without the mentioned perks to compete with this one, unfortunately.
