I had a good day mowing. Relaxing to say the least! I have always taught to cut "tall" fescue tall. This is most true during the summer months. If you happen to cut your fescue a little shorter in the fall then you are fine to do so. Mid spring be sure and start to raise that mower deck up so you are at a taller cut for the summer.

I feel like the fall foliage colors adds to the pop of the green grass too. The contrast makes it even better.
I've been watching you for years.. I used to watch these striping videos when they came out. Fast forward to today. I have been striping ever since using the old mower that I had, along with trying my best to maintain the fertilization. (Even tried planting tall fescue purchased from your store to combine with my kbg). I've just purchased my first new mower. A nice zt2 50in zero turn. I'm trying my best to not to be obnoxious and just keep cutting so I can enhance my striping..lol... All of this to say "Thank you Pete". You've been an inspiration (especially with your love of Christ)

I know! I had to overseed my lawn in sections (against my will), so that the kiddos had a section to play on... can't wait for it to all fill in!

You lawn is great!!! Really!!! But I want to compliment you on your for thought and ability to design your beds, both around your house and the boarder beds. Very good mix of trees and shrubs, evergreen and deciduous. In my opinion it is your beds that really make the lawn stand out.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. My yard is the best it's ever looked thanks to you. I just started spraying this fall too. Starting with the bio stimulants. Overseeded with your bluegrass and had great germination. Went with 3 lbs./1000. I think next fall I'm going to increase that a bit. Neighbors take their shoes off to walk through my yard.😅😅😅

I love this fall cut cause I threw down a bag of GCI Turf “Cool Blue” back in September for the first time and my lawn looks Awesome! The grass is growing non stop. I’m still cutting twice a week up here on Long Island.
Im in Indianapolis and I did the same thing September 19th and it looks phenomenal. Cut it again today October 25th
The king is in Cincinnati and I’m cutting twice a week! My Midnight Blue KBG is on fire!!! Plus hitting once a month with liquid Iron and XGrn The boys on the block are green with envy! Thanks to Pete I’m offering to help them rather than dominate them!

@@bloodbatteries4797 I ordered mine from my local feed store in Covington Ky. I wanted to say it was Parker brand out of Indianapolis IN but don’t remember. Kbg is a bit finicky to germinate and slow to show any kind of life for at least a few weeks. Mine is now a few years old and it’s amazing! I did have to move some plugs in a few areas but it quickly recovered. Best of luck✌️

I like spring time cuts. The fall grass has germinated in the late fall, went to sleep with the rest of the lawn in the winter, then pops in the spring with spring showers and flowers. :)

Nothing, and I mean nothing...better than that tall cut fescue. I just can’t get behind the low mow. It’s interesting that you test it, but that tall cut is just so lush and thick looking.

Fall cuts for me. I’ve never really completed a real pre winter treatment, so my early spring lawn always look a little patchy. But 2022 will be different!
Get that winterizer down...makes a ton of difference!

Looks great Pete,thanks to your videos I have the best lawn in years ,still have to work on weeds that are coming up but I'm getting there.
Been push mowing with a little 21" Lowe's special to try to not damage the young grass. Then I sit on the porch and water it so I can do it all again.
Fall about 3-4 weeks after aerator and overseed. I used your TTTF and this is the best my lawn has looked. It was rough not mowing for 2+ weeks. I gradually mowed down to 3" and it was easily 6-7" plus with new just getting to mow height on Wed. I bagged a lot of it. Sat mow looks great! I mulched it all. 25k sq ft with a 21" Honda took forever! I didn't want my heavy Craftsman's Pro Series 26hp/54" on the lawn with new grass.

definitely the fall cut, no doubt, I have no irrigation and full sun in sandy soil so during the summer it never grows quite right, I can't get it right

Hi Pete, I cut at 2.5 in the fall... looks great and it's easier to blow the leaves.

It’s hard to pick one perfect looking grass..I kind of like the Tall Fescue and the blue grass mixed..that’s what I’m going to try in my yard

The fall cuts be everythang mane. My grass be so terrible throughout the summer from the heat when it goes into dormant mode. But when the fall comes and a few cuts....Maaaaannn!!!!

Id have to have pine trees all over my yard. Privacy and green everywhere is a must for me. At least he has it on one side. Now if only I could get my grass to look that good.

It's basically a hobby for me. A couple months ago I bought a new MANTIS for aerating & seeding. I'm sold as my lawn has never been so nice!

Honda makes a rotary mower for their overseas market that has a rear drive roller. I really wish more manufacturers would make one for us here in the US.

Just kidding, I’m trying to get my 3 1/2 acres looking good, I’ve got a long ways to go but it’s so expensive to get all the lawn to look nice. LOL..my exmark viking 36 does the same thing..i love it even though i know its a carb problem. I throttle her up and she smooths right out!! LOL..old faithful for sure. It might even be the same engine. I have flat out wore her out. She needs new spindles over the winter.

Pete by far as the first cut of the season everytime I get to the end of a strip and turn around I stop and take a deep breath there are certain smells in this world and that one is as happy a smell as a quick rain in the summer. Pete are you going to become an authorized dealer for Allen mowers I buy one from you heck you seem honest enough I buy a used pickup truck from you
I have no plans to become a dealer for them. I like their mower because they are awesome! I think the closest dealer is in SC...that's where mine came from

3.5 inch on Honda for tall fescue blend looks best for me. Tried 3 but get some sort scalping and browning look. 3.5 looks so dark green.
