You have been one of my biggest motivations to get a diesel and yesterday I finally got my first diesel truck. Got a 2012 Ram longhorn 6.7l cummins! I love it already
There's just something so romantic about the mechanical noises that come from a 12 valve or 7.3. Had the chance to pick up a clean, yet high mileage 7.3 Excursion for my daily a few months back. Went on the test drive and couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Eventually went a completely different route, but you can bet I'll own another one day b/c they're just so much fun to drive.
Inline all the way! One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone calls compounds twins.

Twins means two, thereâs two turbos.
@@rachelwolfe5915 But theyâre 2 different sizes a smaller one to feed the bigger one their not the same size like twins on a gasser.

@@rachelwolfe5915 true twins are equally sized turbos, one for the left manifold and one for the right manifold. Cummins are i6 so they canât have a true twin setup regardless. Compounds are inline with each other using the smaller turbo to feed the larger turbo

im definintly for the 5gen cummins, that 3500 is just a beautiful truck..that color is awesome..i been watching from the begining and u have built some amazing trucks, but this one is my favorite..keep u the good work

I'm definitely a cummins guy but I love the looks of Ford trucks. That's why my dream diesel is a Fummins. Wether it's a OBS Fummins, 11-16 Fummins, or even a 2017+ Fummins
If I could build any truck, it would be an 08-10 King Ranch F350 with a 12-valve swap & compounds.
Definitely going with the Cummins. Can't beat the "under the curve" torque of the in line six.

Jack, you should peel off the black vinyl on the door pillar. It body paint color underneath. IMO much cleaner look than matte vinyl

They had power in the rear. Either that truck never had power up front and was converted or maybe the old idis only had it up front. But the real 7.3s 95-97 had front and rear
That is probably the best looking color on that obs there was a local cclb similar color and Cummins swap a buddy of mine. Nowhere near as cool as that though
