- It’s time to hit up Athens....you can’t travel to Greece and not see Athens! So we try everything possible to get there with Zephyr but it seems impossible. Marinas there are crazy expensive and there is no place to anchor nearby...so after much debate...we decide to head to Aegina Island where we can leave zephyr on a public wharf and catch a quick ferry to Athens for a day. Join us for a day tour of Acropolis and Athens city.

It is part of the tendering process. To get a perfect texture before grilling or pan-frying, you need to get rid of all water in the octopus nerve system. So they hang them out to dry. Turks & Greeks tavern/fish restaurants also beat the octopus onto rocks to speed up the process. Turks don't hang them to dry.
BTW the waitress' reaction was priceless, haha :)
Best anchorage with easy public transport to Athens central is Varkiza - Vari bay, southeast of Piraeus port.

The food is unreal in Greece! My (Nat) favourite food is Greek food! I enjoyed every minute it of it and judging by James’ 24 gyros….I think he loved it too!

I am one of those old wheezers on music reaction sites griping if the sound isn't right. But when you are traveling on a tight budget, it is a different kettle of old fish. Your sound is quite audible, locations great, storytelling/narrative/editing is just fine....(I was going to insert certain rude country jokes here, but any place that can elect a sociopathetic liar has no room for criticism)(and don't ask what I think of Morry baby)
