I tamed my white Arabian as soon as I could. I loved that horse. I don’t care if there were faster ones out there. This was my horse.

Damn right! When I found white arabian for a first time I was like 30% of game, horse get scared and drowned close to waterfall . Bad thing was that my only previous save was at 18% of game. autosave was of course fcked up :/ White pearl arab from North is my favourite :)

I've been saving manually everytime I finish a mission or after 15 minutes or so, that's the most important this you must do if you don't want to start over.
My horse is the red Arabian. Catch him west of Owanjila lake. A magnificent looking animal. The white Arabian is in the stable.
One method of travel I use is to set my marker and head straight for it instead of following the red marked trail. Many times get so sidetracked I forget about where I was heading and change my interests for what happens along the way. RDR2 is full of surprises. 1st time through it took me over 12 months to finish, no rush. I was shattered when Arthur died.
On my 5th run through, still no rush. Best game I've ever played. Still playing and enjoying it. I like to run and leap off the Valentine saloon roof out into the street face 1st into the mud and get around all filthy, good for a laugh. Have fights in the saloon and throw opponents over tables, into the piano, finish by throwing them through the window until there's a pile of bodies out there. Grab opponents and throw them into anything.
Go on try it, all covered in mud 😂 Funny comments from the townsfolk.
I try to understand the appeal of a fast horse. What's the point of riding through this awesome world at breakneck speed? This game actually rewards you for slowing things down. If you explore on foot, which I encourage everyone to try, you will see more wildlife and some of it in uncommon places, whereas if you just rush your horse from point A to point B, the game won't even get the chance to build a detailed world around you.

To each their own, but all RDR2 has ever motivated me to do is to slow things down rather than to speed things up.
in case you get ambushed by gangs you can run away easily if youre way too outnumbered, and also running from the law especially in saint denis

At 2:46; I just finished the Horse Flesh for Dinner mission recently, 😔 and from all 3 horses, the one kept in the video was my favorite, that coat is just beautiful.

I found this random Mustang, ain't that fast, but the bond we have is all that matters.
All these horses are about the size and look to me (Nakota is a bit small for me, but otherwise very nice). All are really good horses, and awesome companions for Arthur from Ch 2/3 forward. I've been going with a Hungarian Halfbred, and with Panther Saddle, has been perfect since very early in Ch2. I love how they created a variety of horses, and while there are small differences, any horse can be the perfect horse for you!

You can get FTM early in the chapter 2 , after the mission with Hosea . There is a glitch still opened . Shoot the woman near to the dead horse until he stands still alive . You will lost some honour , but you’re gonna make it through the game . Upgrade the saddler with pantera’s skin and you will have 10 of stamina of your horse since the 2d chapter .
Using this photographer Albert method is easier and doesn't cost your honour.

@@emre.gry01 Meh, honor is easy enough. Moonstone pond and throw back some quickly caught fish. Shooting rats by buildings for people. Being mean to KlanKin. I don't want the pinto myself, I wait for the amber one. But I doubt the honor is much of a big deal that early in the game. Obviously reload if rack up the bodies in an attempt.
I'm actually going through my first high honor playthrough. Its so hard to hold back. Not very fun.

@@AndreasMicI'm on my first playthrough (now 95% through) and I did it - it took me several attempts (20+) to finally locate the horse via dead eye tracking and chase it down all the way to the kamasa without actually seeing it till I got there. It's a HUGE pain but still feels like my biggest achievement in the game lol
I wish that the silver dapple Missouri Foxtrotter was a stallion but it is what it is at least that I always prefer using this horse for John instead of Arthur
Theres a gender swap glitch to make it a stallion its what I do works best in chapter 2 or 3 mostly 3 tho imo
Found a Blue Roan Nakota out in the wild. Dude is faaaaaaaast!
The reverse dapple nakota is a faster. Mind you speed doesn't mean a lot in game. Same base stats as the brindle thoroughbred. I usually use the Brindle until chapter 4 and I buy the gold turkoman and amber champaign fox trotter. My fourth horse comes later when I can get the tiger mustang. The stang is less impressive stats wise but I like what I like. And I love my four horses of the apocalypse.
Ride what you like. You can go through the game with a Morgan if you wanted too. It's fine to do whatever. But that amber trotter with the panther saddle is a lovely girl!

None of this is relevant. Once you've got a trapper saddle and won the speed bonus from racing, then all but the most basic horses are ranked the same in respect of speed anyway. Besides, health is far more important than speed.
Amen. Even without trapper saddle and good stirrups there's just a few seconds between ALL the breeds. With the countless videos about "the fastest horse in RDR2" I really wonder how much in a rush these players are in the game. LOL

that's the thing I love about this game, personally, the Half breed Hungarian and the Raven Black Shire are my favorites.
I prefer my black American Standardbred and dark bay Turkoman to my white Arabian in RDO. Much faster and less skittish. Only began Story recently and got what they gave me. So far so good.
I have a mustang 2 Arabians and a American paint one of the Arabians is the snow one and the stripe one the mustang is a brown one with a black stripe on its back and black mane and tale and the American paint is a brown and white one with short mane and braided tale 😅😅😅😂
The best horse in rdr2 is fox trotter quiet and super fast and suitable for cowboy

Didn't know you could do it like that in the Mason mission. I always tracked it after parking a wagon in its way to slow it down after the pic, or tracked it to where it goes in Roanoke without having to follow track it. Your method much quicker
I had a blue roan nokota when I completed game and continued as John, and used it to finish up what I didn't get to with first run through, several hundred hours later I had the nokota forever and she got me away from danger quickly. I was in the process of running up huge bounties in all states and I had a glitch where we ran into another horse and rider, their horse kicked us both over a rocky ledge...I was so pissed.
I have a Nokota with a perfect beaver pelt saddle and I have 9 speed, reduced stamina usage, and increased stamina recovery. You gain stamina much faster, and use stamina much slower. I can sprint from Saint Danis, to Valentine almost. That's is with level 3 bonding. I haven't gotten to level 4 yet
In chapter 2 I got the Black arabian from Saint Denis, the Fox trotter silver dapple pinto in the mason mini mission and in chapter 4 I added the Amber Champagne Fox trotter. I don't need any other horse, those are the best horses in the game
The nakota reverse dapple roan is the fastest horse in the game.
Man I used to play this game at a fast pace. Kept wrecking my horse, it was difficult tracking and hunting from horse back when moving fast. Started a new game, slowed my game play and I'm at 16.3% with only 5% of the story actually done. My plan is to get as much done with The Man, The Myth, The actual fecking Legend Arthur Morgan. All the perks and what not before continuing the story. If you start another play through slow it down my gamers. DO THE CHORES at camp you can be at lvl 8 before ya know it.
This video is disingenuous. It's supposed to be the FIVE horses faster than Arabians, but from what I understand of horses in RDR 2, there's scant few horses in the entire game which LEGITIMATELY are. That MFT silver dappled Pinto being one of. The Chestnut Bay Turkoman DEFINITELY IS NOT faster than Arabians. The brindle thoroughbreds, I somehow doubt, maybe they're comparable to but not faster than. And that Arabian... yes it's an ARABIAN from what I recall, isn't supposed to be available until the epilogue, and is the ARABIAN with the best physical stats. Same speed and acceleration, but better health and stamina.
Seems to me whoever put this video up filled out 4 spots with comparable or slightly inferior stats. Of the 5 horse's showcased here, ONLY the MFT silver dappled Pinto is ACTUALLY FASTER than an Arabian. It has 7 natural speed and 5 natural acceleration. Meaning it will always be a little bit slower off the line, at 7 instead of 8 max acceleration, but you will hit 10 speed with it. [with all perks and upgrades]
The brindle thoroughbred IS faster, its got 7 natural speed as compared to the Arabian's 6. The turkoman has the same speed as the arabian, and the reverse dapple nokota is also faster than the arabian with 7 natural speed
@@kashmir3489 I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. The Turkoman legitimately is the same speed as White or Black Arabians. However, it has one LESS acceleration. I know this because I just literally got it. I could have sworn it was slower, but maybe I just mis-remembered or it seems slower because of the one less acceleration.
I'll take you at your word about the brindle, the one from the O Driscalls, ambush glitch? But seeing as we don't get to SEE it's stats, i'll take it, with a pinch of salt. And the same with the Nokota. Again, we don't SEE the stats. The only horse I know of that is legitimately faster, far as I've seen at any rate is the MFT Pinto from the 3rd wildlife for beginner's sidequest. And even that's "arguable" because you sacrifice one acceleration. I KNOW that to be true because it's been my main horse in my CURRENT playthrough. [Literally just switched it out, cause the Turkoman just looks cooler] For the record that IS 7 and 5. Those are it's base stats, no arguing that.
Even so, I maintain this video to be disingenuous because it's LITERALLY NOT 5 horses that are faster. If "true" about the ones you say are, it should be 4 horses that are and one that is comparable. A more wordy title maybe, but a more honest one, but ONLY IF the stats are ACTUALLY SHOWN for each horse.
@@Requiemslove U can see the stats of the reverse dapple in the saint denis shop and you can see the brindles stats after you make it your own horse and take it to a stable (pretty sure u can even see its stats before that but i havent used it in a while so idk)

I mean I remember not exactly being blown away by it, and opting for the Gold Turk instead. [I may have thought differently had I seen 7 pips in speed, but I'm PRETTY CONFIDENT that it don't have 7]

Speed doesnt matter in this game. The law and bad guys chase at a percentage of the speed of your horse. The game engineers it that way. So the slowest horse will stay just as far ahead as the fastest one.
They had to do this, otherwise there would be nobody using slower ones that are pretty. Once you realize this, you ride what you like.

I can't even catch the Foxtrotter from Mason's mission. Instead, I use the glitch from stranded woman to get it. Usually only takes me two or three tries after a fresh save.

I accidentally mounted a black arabian horse after helping a guy on saint denis (night time, around 10pm). It was supposed to be his horse actually, so i kinda rob him after helping him lmao. To be fair, my horse had the same colour pattern, hence why the confusion.

I have found a random Brindle Thoroughbred in Chapter 2 somewhere near Twin Stack Pass in multiple playthroughs now, including the one I’m currently on. So there is another way to get that horse.
I found it one time with the saddle still on, so I guess it's riders (presumed the O"driscol boy) died and it just wondering around twin stacks.
I did that on my other account so I tried it on my new one but I tried to feed the white one for over 20 min lol won't work on the white one... Just eats all the food

Thoroughbred horses are better if you looking for a solid fast horse. With lvl 4 bonding and after completing the stranger house race next to Saint Denis. You can get max speed attributes for that horse.

How in the world did you catch up that fast? I'd been trying non stop for days maybe even a week or so and had to give up because they kept eluding me even tracking them and when I did he was in the trees couldn't see through the canopy and he bucked Arthur off and disappeared to never be found again. It has the largest run circle I have ever come across. The tracking ability sucks doesn't last nearly long enough especially when running and tracks disappear. It had lost all fun in trying to find and get that horse had to quit for I really do enjoy playing rdr2. Decided I'll just pay the approximate 1000 gold for it once I reach chapter 6. Biscuit and his owner ain't been able to be found anywhere can't even trigger them to spawn anywhere. This is all story mode and not online. Last time I tried to catch the wild horse I failed again and reloaded and haven't went back since. I have tried multiple different ways and nothing. I got one more way I plan on trying that nobody seems to have tried yet but I gotta have some time away from that frustration that way I can keep my cool and possibly catch him. Oh I used multiple different horses as well the warped Arabian the red Arabian the black Arabian the brindle thoroughbred the piebald tobiano the war paint r.i.p. died when it fell after going into river. Full health even 🤯 my mind. Still no luck. I ain't even worried about catching the whit Arabian. They are too skiddish in the game and the brindle thoroughbred already beat The Count in the race against Dutch. Thus far the best I've found is The male Brindle Thoroughbred. The female is not as good, she's clumsy. You catching up to them that soon 🤯
A 10 speed horse is NOT 200% faster than a 9 speed horse. On my channel I have done numerous time trials and races between these horses. A Reverse Dapple Roan Nokota, after EIGHT MINUTES of running (that's 8 full minutes), is only 3 seconds faster than an Arabian. The fact of the matter is, there isn't a great deal of difference in speed in this game. Sure, a Tennessee Walker in a crappy saddle before you earn the speed bonus will be markedly slower than a Brindle Thoroughbred. But there isn't that much difference between 2 horses that are closer in speed.

nah i got my missouri fox trotter for free with it (they are the best horse in the game with a base speed of seven and added two with panther saddle meaning they have the potential for max speed and are normally 950.)

@@eaeafsgaws4a There was a way to get that horse without having to snipe the lady and that's how I got it the first time right after the bear mission with Hosea. You had to take a very specific path to moonstone pond and reload untill you got the horse to spawn alive but I couldn't get that to work recently and ended up having to shoot the poor lady.

MFT skittish af, I prefer the black arabian you can find at night in Saint Denis. But over all of that prefering the Tiger striped Mustang or the hungarian halfbred. They're fast enough and more important don't buck you off so easily like all the faster horses.
Lol there's legit just a few seconds that differ between the slowest and fastest horse in rdr2. The only time where it matter is in online races.
