Edgar Payne is a favorite artist of mine, and this painting is on a par with his work. Great mountains subject matter, my favorite too since I worked often in the Sierra Nevada, a bit in the Rockies on a plein air event at RMNP and now in the Southwest with our own stark mountain vistas. Good work!

hi ,what is the use of watching your video,have you ever thoght about ,by looking you pain,i can learn the composition ,the balance and harmony,and you mix colours to arrive at the purticular shade tone and intensity,would that not be helpful to the viewer to know you are mixing certain colours in certain combination OR, i am mixing raw umber with ultramarine blue, and a bit of alizarin crimson with whie to arrive at the color,some thing like this when you pant a certain portion of the painting ,for ex the sky was beatiful blue but show us you are mixing cobalt and white and a bit of alz crimson to understand better. Thank you
