Welcome to Kimi no Na wa month.
For those who don't know, Radwimps worked extensively with Shinkai for this film, so every song is directly related and explicitly FOR the movie. I tried my best to emulate their style, both lyrically and musically.
although i still dont know what the fifth dimension is
I chose to put lyrics as captions, so you can turn them off and just watch the video if you like. The first time I watched this movie, I pretty much ignored the subs and just watched (I've studied Japanese formally for four years) and I kind of realized I could apply the same concept to videos. Hope that's cool with you all~

You've gotten so good at writing lyrics over the last year. The way that you rhyme some of your lines by cutting sentences off partway, especially on conjunctions like "and" (from the Aozora no Rhapsody cover) is so creative because it actually builds anticipation for the next line.

I'd say it's DEFINITELY better! They lyrics actually rhyme and flow. The official English translation sounds like it was written by some free translator website
