Eloy said that he really learned all of the Joey's drums parts just so could be rady for the interview with Slipknot, you can see that he really wants to honor Joeys when he plays, that's why I'm excited to watch some drumcam's from Eloy, it would be insane

I didn't like that they let go of Jay, but I have to admit the new drummer sounds great. But then I've always been a fan of Sepulturas drums.

its okay guys, dont feel bad, joey was the original band member, but eloy is an overall better drumer, watch his drummeo vid and you will understand, he can play prog, latin music as well as metal, the only thing joey was good at was beeing fast, nothing else.

Doesn't Jay have a more jazzy background actually? I might be talking out of my ass but I think I heard it in an old interview. Anyhow, Eloy must be one of the better live drummers along with Austin Archey, Evgeniy Novikov and Chris Turner when we talk metal
Jay is the son of legendary Bruce Springsteen’s drummer so I’m sure he’s been around music his whole life, most likely a more jazzy background.
