I think it's cause, as the oldest brother he had the most stress. I'm not saying the others don't cause bloody hell, stress is like there middle name! But as the oldest, Dean feels he has to protect EVERYBODY around him. Not to mention, Dean never really had a childhood. Sam went of and accomplished his dreams before the demon killed his gf but Dean never left the family business, not to mention he tried so much to be good enough for his father and it was basically thrown back in his face.

I was on the verge of tears a lot during the whole show but it was Dean's death that finally made me cry his goodbye to Sam just sent me. And I'd just finished drying my eyes when Sam's death came and I started crying all over again.
