175 minutes in length this double DVD offers the most comprehensive footage of the largest horse fair in Europe. Appleby Fair is by far the most popular fair in Europe, with visitors and tourists flocking from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the entire globe.
At least 91 vanner & trotting horses tacked up on Sunday 19th of August 2012 and took to the local roads for a short horse drive, 'Joe 90's Memorial Drive' from Gurney Valley near Close House & Eldon, Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
The weather was excellent & the field remained dry. Visitors had arrived from Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, Northumberland & nearer County Durham for this ever growing event 'a miini Appleby Horse Fair' many had stayed overnight. As well as the horses in the drive travellers had brought along horses to trade, harness & carts were also for-sale.
