Best thing about the collection is that metal gear is getting the recognition it deserves and a new generation will be able to experience this legendary series
Ooo. I wasn't ware of using the binoculars to perfectly place your shot for a gun. That will come in very handy!
Glad you were able to learn something! Thanks for watching!
It completely changed the way I played the game. I love this tip
It's an old tip since 2004.
Holding the torch with The End's camo regens your stamina
snake eater was so ahead of time its still not matched feature and realism wise while still being this fun. really was the best game ever. i bunked school just to go buy it on release lol
Personally I liked The Sorrow's camo best since it silences your footstep.
And you can absorb stamina when choking someone out
Just use a stun nade for footsteps
The box CQC strat is completely new to me. Time to replay it again!
Some great tips here even for those of us that have played MGS for years. I never thought of using the binoculars to line up shots and never knew about that box CQC trick before either.
As someone who holds the originl version of MGS3 and Substinance, I see this as an absolute win.
Doug
Animal camoflauge
Relaxes your muscles so you can aim well
The boss camos are all amazing. Notably The End's which restores stamina when in the sun.
Not just the sun, but light in general. You can avoid stamina loss on the mountain ladder climb with the Moss camo equipped, meaning you don’t have to eat when you reach the top.
Animal aka Cheeta camo is still one of the best in MGSV. It's good on sand and greenery, making it good for almost all terrain in Afgan and Africa.
Great video again! One small thing, you only have to worry about leaches in dirty water, areas like rivers don't have leaches in them. I could be wrong about this, but I think once you're past the swamp area north of Rassvet, just before Bolshaya Past South, you shouldn't have to worry about them anymore. I've been speedrunning the game a lot lately though and I can't think of any other instances of leaches after that
You’re right!
@@PerfectStealth one of those itty bitty details that make the game still so impressive 20 years later
Tactical reload does have a disadvantage however. If you use it you won’t acquire empty magazines to throw to distract guards
He explained that in the video
Just use food
@@flaherty9248 you could do that, but what if you throw the food and there’s no time to get it back? Magazines a pretty useful for that reason. They’re even more useful in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D because that game has a dedicated reload button on top of having tactical reload. So you can make magazines after firing just one bullet.
Your videos are getting me hyped for the Master Collection! I cannot wait, it's just around the corner.
I didn’t know Bad Bunny was such a MGS3 expert 👌🏽
the animal is NOT the best camo. you're wrong on that. the best camo is the flecktarn camo with woodland face paint. you get 95% camo index with those 2 combined. the only thing the animal camo does is it removes hand shaking while aiming. hand shaking shouldn't even be a problem if you just keep your stamina up by eating!
Yeah true but flecktarn is kind of useless after you beat The End, animals is good in the tall grass early in the game and also decent in the mountains. I preferred to just keep changing based on environment tho
Flectarn also gives your equipment unlimited battery life
Awesome strats bro, had to drop a like real quick. Thx for making this bro
Bro. That Scope strat is top tier!
Thanks for great tips. Did not know about the binocular-aiming trick! And congrats on 13k subs! :D
Thanks for watching and thank you so much!
Personally knew it all. As a lover of the franchise great video and explaining each technique in detail. Another successful mission
It's still going to take a lot to convince me to take off my DPM combat 95 uniform. Having to eat to steady your hands once in a while is a easy trade off. That and in pretty much any green area the DPM camo is just godly at being sneaky.
Not even mentioning the double life regen for playing the harder difficulties
How is it post The End fight tho? I switched to desert tiger or choco chip for most of the game after that and I was crawling right in front of fools in the mountains
Really great tips for new players
2:09 I was worried these extra camos wouldn't be included, glad to see they're back again.
How unlocke these?
@@Kosack27 For the newest master collection I'm not sure/don't remember. You might have to do R1 or R2 when in the camos menu. Or complete MGS3 once first.
Man still cooking MGS 3 SE videos in 2023, good work!
Just started 3. Thanks for the tips
My pleasure!
Yeah but once again the camo that eliminates your footsteps and allows you to pretty much run on behind them is amazing especially if you know all of their move paths even on the harder difficulty
The sneaking suit in MGS3 is pretty awesome I agree.
@@PerfectStealthThey're talking about The Sorrow's camo. Sneaking suits doesn't eliminate sound until PW and then nerfed to only reduce sounds in TPP.
holding a stun grenade and running is better cause then you can have a camo buff and no footstep sounds
Spirit camo yea one of my favorites. My favorite is moss camo only suit besides stealth that allows you to get 100 percent plus it makes you photosynthetic.
You can avoid footstep sounds by just cocking a grenade and unequipping it before it explodes
I’ve been playing since this came out and I still learn so much; one of the best games in the world in my opinion
No it’s not.
Agreed.
This is Solid Snake
i think the best camo is the Fear one. just collect tons of food while continue your run and you get the advantage to run in front of enemies at 80% camo.
6:34 Wait, how did they not go on alert here!?
Tactical reload is essential for the shagohad chase and turns the rpg into a grenade launcher 😅
The best camos are spirit (can’t be heard) and moss (photosynthesis stam), Ocelots camo is only really good for the desert part of the game. Even snow is better than ocelot because of how good it is against the boss.
Instead of holding up enemy’s u can also move there body’s and drop them to get supplies. I believe if there dead they’ll drop 1 item and if there asleep they’ll drop 2. Sometimes they won’t drop any
Leech tip, while swimming, if you hear a “Kiss” that’s the leech attaching to you.
Which difficulty setting do you recommend its been a long time since I played this
How do climbing trees in enemy infested areas work? Can they see you on the branch or....?
You said to use the left stick in to toggle the 3d camera when its really the right stick on default.
You're pretty good
Sure wish I could aim down sights with the xm16 without having to fire a shot first
You can. When you're holding R1 to be in first person mode, click the left analogue stick, i.e. the L3 button.
@@duffman18 good looking out
My brain doesn't like the newer controls much either but it's aight. Ps2 pressure buttons worked great
holy fuck just found ur channel i thought u had like 3m subs lmao u earn a easy sub and bell notfi and thank you so much for this video 🐐
ps. I haven't played mgs3 yet(i played mgs1,2,5/mg tho) but in pc ,are konami gonna support keyboard and mouse?😢
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing!
MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 all have keyboard support in one way or another. MGS1 has keyboard support only. MGS2 has limited keyboard AND mouse support. MGS3 has full on keyboard and mouse support. :)
@@PerfectStealth thank you ♥️
European extreme I use the one the end for stamina leeching when choking enemy soldier really use full
6:40 how were you not spotted? 😅
how do you move so smoothly im playing at the moment and i go really slow
So These downloaded camos only Work for PC right?
Is there a way to tac reload on the original snake eater?
2:58
I have the HD collection, however, I am unable to press the Left Stick In as I play on PS Vita, what's the Button alternative for this?
You gotta read the manual.
Wait so naked olive drab is not the best? Huh I've been using that a bunch
The box only ever seemed to fool guards in mgs1. I seem to remember Mgs2 they would look under the box and expose you. (don't remember if 3 was the same) Is there something I missed with it?
The box is still incredibly useful in MGS2 and 3. The guards will only interact with the box if you are directly in the way of where they walk or they see it move. If you are just off to the side they will walk right past you. Also you can use to run quickly behind waist high cover without been seen by the guards. There’s other tricks that can be done using the box as well with some of them covered in the video.
In mgs2 you have to use the right box for the right strut
for me the best is the volgin one because nobody shoots you at front
Getting a like for actually talking about the topic in the tittle and thumbnail first instead of making people wait as most do.
When you unlock stealth camo, will it run on batteries like thermal goggles do?
The stealth camo in MGS3 does not run on batteries. Once you've unlocked it by either finding and shooting all 64 Kerotans in the game, or by finishing the game with no alerts, you will have it in your backpack inventory for most of the game to use as you please, for as long as you like.
There is a better camo for MGS3 altho exclusive to the 3DS, the irl grass camo
I akready know too much about MGS3 without having played it. I rather go in as blind as possible.
I'm the same but thankfully idk too much, I watched like 2 MGS videos the other day and now I keep getting recommendations for MGS videos which I'll happily watch if I ever get stuck or when I beat the games in the master collection 😂
@@codysvlogdaysThat's the trap of getting hyped about something that's already popular. You just can't resist the urge to have a small peak, and before you know it you're already learning the plot twists and major story events.
@LOEKASH y e a h I completely understand. I've seen stuff about mgs3, but I'm trying not to learn the context until I get to those parts of the game. There is one thing about mgs3 that I know of that I wish I didn't but oh well, I dont know the context leading to it, lmao.
Honestly, I'm just happy that I'll finally get to play mgs1, 2, and 3.
IT WAS LEECHES?!
2:09 how do you get these other camos? Are they like the downloadable ones or something? Are they available on the HD collection?
Yes they were originally downloadable in MGS3: Subsistence. These are part of a dev save for the HD Collection version of MGS3.
@@PerfectStealth Okay yeah I remember back in the day that the PS2 version had some downloadable stuff to get. So is there a way to get a "dev save" for the HD collection on our own?
Why does The Fear camo drains your stamina
There should a realistic xtreme difficulty to negate these goofy mechanics in Delta
Wait when and what is European extreme??? I love 3 and always played it on extreme go so good I forgot how high of a difficulty i had it on. Anyways whoa
You guys really need to watch speedruns to find out many tips and tricks.
BINOCULARS TRICK GREAT
6:39 What is going on here? Don't they go on alert?
should have, prolly on easy
Nope. It’s a rare interaction in which every guard is fixated on something and that makes them unable to see Snake in the box even though he’s right in front of them.
The footage was on Normal but that strategy works on every difficulty.
Hopefully the master collection makes mgs3 look a little better, I tried playing it on a emulator and it looked very washed out compared to mgs2.
I recently played MGS2 and MGS3 on PS5 and I was really quite impressed with how good they both look. Especially MGS2, I wasn’t expecting much of a graphic upscale since it was a PS2 game but it looked great, especially when you consider the era..
The jump in graphic quality from MGS1 to MGS2 is even more staggering than before. MGS1 was still pretty janky looking ngl, but it’s still better than the OG but the game itself still holds up pretty good all these years later.
I heard the pc ports were trash tho…
You mean moss camo? You can achieve 100% camo with that. Even other camos beat this. The only thing this has is no shaking hands, which is useless if you eat and keep your stamina topped off.
Thanks for the tips! will use on October 24th!, Once again, I'm back to comment! :)
Thank you for watching and thank you for leaving a comment!
WHAAAAT!? You can rótate Snake while aiming an enemy? HOW!? 7:22
This wont help anyone on there first play through however once your in newgame plus and have the patriot , When fighting bosses if you hit them with a stun gernade then shoot them specifically with the patriot it does stamina damage instead of damaging their health ( and it does what seems like is double the damage as well ) . Helps if your trying to get all of the boss camo's
i cant save how to save this game there is no option
Open the codec
then waht shud i do next@@evilmario6061

Is it '3 tips for MGS 3' or 'tips for MGS 3'?
It ugly tho 😀 It looks like a tacky carpet. Sometimes I use a less effective camo on purpose just because I hate how it looks.
no cqc guide? the menu guide is totally different from the games controls. i have no clue how to do shit. it tells me to press l3 to interogate, l3 pulls out my gun. it tells me l2 to slit throat, l2 interogates.
