In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert Aaron Marino of www.iamalpham.com, www.aaronmarino... and www.peteandpedr... shares 7 brands that won't break the bank. You don't need to spend a ton of cash to look good, you just need to know where to shop!
In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro calls out 7 affordable style options for men that are worth your hard earned money. Sign up for mailing lists if you like a specific brand as you will receive coupons!
    1. The Tie Bar - $10 pocket squares and $19 ties and bow ties. The options are mind blowing with a zillion combinations and options. Alpha doesn't understand sending a lot of cash on ties, and he saves his cash!
    2. The GAP - great for staples and is Alpha's personal pick and go-to place. It works for all ages. It's a poor man's J. Crew. All of Alpha's jeans are from The GAP at around $59.
    3. Macy's American Rag - they make a good selection of affordable options and the quality is good enough
    4. H&M and Forever 21 - the quality is terrible (it gets rough real fast) so it'll last a few months to a year
    5. Cole Haan - for the $100 - $200 range, the quality, style, comfort is check check check! Also Johnson Murphy is another great option. You need to balance quality with affordability.
    6. Zappos.com - for the odd shoe sizes and widths, this site has pretty much anything!
    7. JC Penney - Alpha used to be skeptical but after Alpha M. Project, he is not skeptical anymore.

JCP is my go to store! I don't have a large budget to go out and buy super expensive clothes, but I still love to shop and to have nice looking things for my business wardrobe. This is where JCP delivers every time. Just about everything from my dress shoes to my shirts, ties, socks, even my watch, is from this great store. They even have reliable slim fit and fitted styles that fit me great! I swear by that place!

I recently got a couple of pairs of chinos from Debenhams, £20 or less each and various brands/colours.
TK Maxx is great if you can take the time to fish through and look around, can sometimes find a steal.
As for jackets, it's about keeping your eyes peeled if you're on a budget. I just grabbed a Moss 1851 charcoal blazer for £29 from MossBros which is an absolute steal and too good to pass up on end of year clearance on their website. You will also come across blazers and jackets in TK Maxx - They are pretty good for t/shirts too. John Lewis even had a reasonable sale over the holiday period although wouldnt really recommend them on a budget. Clearance lines and sale lines are always worthing checking.
And last of all.. Amazon! bought 3 Jack & Jones tees for a total of £15. went into their store last weekend to see they were charging £15 EACH for the exact same tees. and even worse a couple of units down they were £20.
Its all about shopping around as really, nobody wants to spend more than they absolutely need to.

+xKarhu there's a store called plato's closet in the U.S., it's kind of like a thrift store, but you sell you trendy clothes instead of donate and they're picky about what they accept, I'll check it out sometimes and I'll see Ralph Lauren shirts for around $8-$14 and jackets for around $20,they have a lot of expensive clothes for cheap there, some of the t shirts are even as low as $4,pretty cool especially since the clothes is in good condition and not all gross,I've sold some clothes to them as well, they only give you about 15% of what they'd sell it for tho.

For casual shoes, another great brand I've found in that $100-200 range is BullBoxer. Fantastic style and ridiculously good quality for the price. Their all leather high tops and sneakers are great for guys in their early/mid-20's who want a more high-minded look without going full "serious adult" just yet.

American Eagle. When they have clothes on clearance, you can get them for 40% off, 50% off, and 60% off. They've got flannel shirts for $12, jeans for $30 (their jeans are amazing), coats for $50 and $40. And the quality is exceptional, I've never had one problem with their quality.

Nice vid. Completely agree with your advice. Here's my recommendations:
    1) I suggest forever 21 and HM as great places to find nice/ casual clothes for cheap. But never order from HM online. That shit will take forever. I mean months to get to you. Know from experience.
    2) for shoes: Cole Haans are the shit but can be expensive. 1901's are also good. Clarks, Sperry Topsider and dr martens are also great brands for boots or shoes that can be worn for nice occasions as well as casually. TOMs are good too.
    3) for a shoe store I suggest Nordstrom rack. The outlet for Nordstrom. Can find plenty of great designer shoes for half the original price.
    4) for pants, I also suggest gap. I think Levi's 501s are the best jeans but their prices have dam near doubled over the past few years. From $40-90 a pair. HM also has a good selection for pants but yeah the quality isn't the best however they do look nice and can pass for any occasion.
    5) for "dressy" clothes either HM or Nordstrom Rack.

I think Express should be on this list. It's like a step up from H&M, both in price and quality. The shirts and suits I have are excellent quality and personally the fit is already pretty good before tailoring if I get anything tailored.

JC Penny is underrated. I got a couple of suits (J. Ferrar) and most of my dress shirts (Stafford) are from there. I also give it a few more points because for every JC Penny I went to there was at least one tailor/old-school guy helping costumers in the suit section.

The tiebar ties and bowties are quality stuff. I got 5 ties, 1 bowtie, 1 tiebar, 1 pair of suspenders and a couple pocket squares a few years ago just to try it out. Quality stuff. Since then they seem to have expanded to belts and more variety of all those listed before. Still, being in Europe the tax for getting that stuff was pretty big.

Target's brand, Merona, has also come up in the quality / style department. I've found myself shopping from there a good bit in a pinch for the basics. J. Crew FACTORY is also a good option. Same cut, styles, etc. but with different branding, and they're way more affordable due to the outlet-esque sales they always run. I walked into one the other day that was running 50% plus an additional 20% off for the holidays, and clearance was 60% off the markdown price. Pretty damn good deals

I'll add the brand Ecco. Everything from casual shoes to Dress shoes to boots. I like Ecco slightly better than Johnston Murphy even. They seem to be slightly more conservative in style but everything else is a relatively equal. I work for a shoe store and have visited/worked in dozens of stores in our company. And the one thing that stands true is that most (like 90% of employees that have worked with us for more than 6 months) wear Ecco. As far as price? between $100 and $250 for most products. I have had my pair of Eccos for about a year and a half. My tread is just starting to wear but I work 70 hours average a week. I swear by them.

I agree with all of your choices, especially Cole-Haan. I am also on a serious search for 'gently-used' or vintage clothing, especially Wrangler or Levi shirts that I can wear as an over-shirt (say, over a T-shirt or Henley). I've used various on-line sites, but my favorite is Etsy. I don't know what it is about some vintage items, but most of the items (all but one, a T-shirt) that I have bought were better fabric, cut and pattern. My favorite is Western cut with real or fake mother-of-pearl snap buttons.

I've purchased a number of sports jackets from JC Penney and suits over the years. They hold up really well and look nice. Also, the brand Club Room from Macy's is really good. Almost all of my casual shits I own are that brand. They are reasonably priced whenever you can find them on sale, which is always.

Cool tips. But I have to say, having a very high quality, tailor made, awesome fabric suit, tuxedo.. Is pretty awesome. Might be, that majority of people won't recognize the quality and price, but I am not trying to impress anyone. I just love the look, feel, and feel just very good wearing those. Not saying that it's a must, it's just a personal preference, I just like to save up and get myself something special, especially when it comes to suits.
