    Amazing content. I completely saw Lance in a different light after the Rogan podcast. He sure did some stupid things but who didn't? I feel like people aren't really listening but trying to find things they can hate on.
    You should bring Taylor Phinney on the Podcast. American cyclist, highly talented from a world class cycling family, almost had his career ended in a high-speed crash, came back and developed so much character in the healing process. I would argue that there is so much to learn from him and how he developed. Check him out and ask Lance about him!
    Keep up the great work you do, and inspire every day!

      He was a talented one day rider and triathlete before doping at best. Ever see the video of him getting destroyed by M. Indurain at his a TDF time trial in one of his early tours?He never would have accomplished what he did without dope. He simply didnt have the physiology. People say there was a level playing field. That is simply not true. Not all teams can afford the best dope, doctors or trainers. Besides that, all athletes dont get the same benefits from the drugs.
      My main point was his assholiness. He used his position , power and money to destroy anyone who got in his way.

Who did they end up saying "officially" won those tires tours?... Oh that's right, they couldn't go down far enough in the GC standings to find somebody that was CLEAN! He is the GOAT, he raced like a madman, and didn't ever switch that off off the bike. Do you find videos of every other person that was doping and try trashing them too? Cycling is like the very beginnings of life itself, out of the heat and the gas, the molten lava, the boiling water, the rocks and the steam, the filth , the bacteria and the muck... springs fourth life and that life is beautiful even if it is full of shit (read Lance). I hope he wins his court case, even though he brought the sport into disrepute he brought joy and happiness to millions of people that watched him and was an inspiration to people with cancer. I do hope he will apologise to Greg Lemond and Paul Kimmage one day, maybe he already has, buy them a beer or a coffee Lance if you don't mind. And I also think it is the corporations that need to be scrutinised, not just the riders as its them that are pushing for win at all costs. ps I did come to the tour de France to watch you and others, the Tourmalet in 2004 and again 2 or 3 years later, was me that shouted at you C'mon Lance you're riding like a muppet", was just a bit of fun.

      For me he is the perfect embodiment of competitivity. That nature/talent he used and still uses in every aspect of his life. Also on the negative such as the lying, cheating, threatening people, etc ... We all know the story, no need for repeating in detail. He started as the little Texan boy who was raised by his mother and made his way upwards in sports on the basis of willpower. Later he became the man who survived cancer and at that time inspired millions of people by crawling back on the bike. He could have settled with a quiet, humble life but the hero inside of him wanted more and always will want more. Because he is not like us, he doesn't settle with 'okay'. Even if he had never won a Tour de France it would still be pretty heroic to return to professional cycling.
      A few years ago he was named the 'fallen hero/ a disgrace' : a stained reputation. Today, after some years of struggle, again he inspires with the same competitive drive to keep on moving forward despite all the difficulties. Lance Armstrong is for me the personification of mental strength and resistance in ALL aspects of life, not only sport. And sadly, no one is perfect. We all lie, we all cheat, we all bully on a certain degree. The hero is trully sorry, and so should we when we do shamefull things. For a man born with his nature to dominate, it is even more remarkable to feel really sorry and change his life in the way he has. He trully is a great example of repentance and mental strength. He aknowledged and regrets the wrong he did and yet always keeps moving forward and today he's an even bigger hero than before. A true source of inspiration. There are many people (athletes, politicians, etc...) who are placed on a pedestal while the less glorious( not to say ugly) truth dies with them. Armstrong is not that kind of fairytale hero we grown ups know they don't exist. He realizes that despite the things he has lost such as money and old reputation, he also won many things in life as he tells in the interview. Lance Armstrong. He's the cancer survivor that has won the TDF 7 times and that all seems like an unsignificant detail today. Crazy world. The name Lance Armstrong will always be connected with TDF 7, cancer survivor, Livestrong, positive inspiration, mental strength an resilience, incredible athlete, ... despite all the negative. He is sorry for the bad things he did and he is moving forward. And if we were all as heroic as him, we should be moving forward too, forgive him and put him back where he belongs.

      Christy Dolan the US Postal service benefited greatly from the advertising. When else in history did the post office seem cool? As far as frauds, all the Euros were doing the same thing. Do you know any of their names? What about the fraud they committed? Do you care, or doesn't it matter, because they lost?

      so? when else in history did a so called world class athlete act the way Lance did when the truth started to come out? the point is that everyone who won and was doping got reprimanded for breaking the rules. Lance is no different from the other cheaters and frauds except he took everything too far and still hasn't come completely clean about his actions. don't try to change the subject and avoid then point just as a person like Lance would do

      Deanna Alvarez are you are sports history expert? The Russians have been covering that up for decades. How many miles a week are you currently riding? I'm always curious if the critics are even cyclists. If you're getting paid to win, and everyone is using enhancers, what would you do? Or what do you do for a living? As far as changing the subject, i just responded to the comment above.

    I can’t honestly justify it but I like Lance Armstrong. I get he cheated, I don’t approve of it but I still like him. Spoiler alert he settled the law suit and payed about $5 million of the $100 million he was being sued for. He’s still a millionaire so yes he’s “adjusted”

      Dude, you still hold a grudge and talk shit for someone you probably never met ? Really ? Lance may have his problems, but after all those years, and you still criticizing and playing therapist all wrapped in one, it seems to me like it's time for you to turn your eyes in and ask yourself where from this envy and foul mouth come from.

    • @deannaalvarez6025
      @deannaalvarez6025 Před 6 lety

      i doubt you ever met him either so your obvious grudge toward his critics is totally backwards, plus this criminal deserves criticism so you look just as twisted as Lance does when he tries (unsuccessfuly) to defend himself. nobody cares about bs, people care about the truth only at this point.

    • @Mukunda16108
      @Mukunda16108 Před 6 lety +1

      ... and I assume that by "people care about the truth" you mean your perspective of it. The "truth" as you put it, is never as one sided as you think it is or as you'd like us to think it is. Of course he's never going to be successful at defending himself to people like yourself, and others in this tread, who can't discern shades of gray but only see in black and white, bs or hero. What are you ? The great judge who can say who deserves criticism and who deserves praise ? Are you sure you can speak for "the people" ? Reality check - at least half the people on this tread have a different perspective than you do. Are they all just dumb and you are the smart one ?

    Armstrong's mistake was to come back. in 2009. If he didn't come back in 2009 he would have gotten away with it. He was caught for samples of 2009-2010. And he did not win anything during his comeback of 2009-2012. So he got greedy and that cost him the 7 tours of 1999-2005.

    Talking a lot about "learning" there. Nevertheless, it looks a lot like the lessons he learned were the following:
    1) I am going to keep repeating that "everybody was doping (meaning equally)", although nothing can prove that
    2) I am going to erase completely the mob-like bullying part, so that the only thing left to discuss is 1)
    3) I will repeat "law is on my side", voluntarily putting aside the moral aspect, as if a thief could keep the money he stole during his whole career because he has good lawyers
    4) I will re-visit the whole scam from a communication point of view, as if a different style of interview with Oprah could change the fact that L.A. is a cheat, a liar and a bully

      100% of the money (and it is a fortune) L.A. made during his career was based on cheating, since he admitted it
      Anti doping will never be taken seriously as long as the cheaters can keep the money they made doing so
      You also think bank robbers should keep the money they stole ?

      Talking about mafia, ask the people whose life L.A. has ruined for years with bullying and lawsuits (Lemond, Betsy Andreu, Emma O'Reilly, Simeoni, Bassons, and many others)
      Talking about the money he gave is like excusing Maddoff because he gave (I am sure he did) some money to charity. This just an wrong argument. Every big mafia-like crook covered their tracks with donations, for idiots like you to fall in that trap head first
      Finally, if I do not believe pro sports are clean (I think on the contrary they are getting dirtier every year), I still want to see someone bringing me the evidence that 100% of competitors at the highest level in any given sport is doping. I will be waiting for a long time ....
