  • This is a tablet mount for the Kove 450 Rally (Non pro version) that can be 3D printed. I am mounting a Samsung Tab A7 Lite in a rugged case with it (Links below). UPDATED now with 4 more holes for the RAM ball mount on the AMPS hole layout. Please watch the video for installation instructions. The free printable file can be found here: www.printables.com/model/6346...
I printed with 3 walls and Gyroid infill. No supports or brim. I have printed the one in the video with PLA filament but I think a more UV and heat resistant filament like PETG or ABS would be a better choice.
If you use a Bambu Lab Printer it is also available in Maker World here: makerworld.com/en/models/5587...
Special thanks to Thruxton Booth who designed the lower back portion of the mount that snaps onto the plastic gauge tower. It really stabilizes the whole thing down lower. I incorporated his part into my lower bracket with his permission.
This was designed in OnShape CAD an online free 3D modeling software. You are welcome to open the file there and copy / modify it to meet your needs. It is public and named: KOVE 450 Rally Tablet Bracket. Link: cad.onshape.com/documents/797...
Below are my affiliate links for which I may receive a commission at no extra charge to you for the items I used in this video:

Use at your own risk. I make no guarantees as to its capabilities and the A7 Lite tablet may not be the best choice for outdoors. This is just what works for me for now. 11/2/2023

PETG is a better material choice, it prints more easily than ABS and is more UV stable :-)

    Hi Mike,
as you mentioned (in another video) the tablet is not good visible "down there". Any chance to swap the Kove screen and the tablet holder, i.e. the Kove screen more down and the tablet above? Or do the (short) wires make this impossible?
    Thx Clemens

You really need to switch the whole tower out to the aluminum one if you want to do that. I could not figure out a way to make a 3D Print to accomplish this.

That tablet was not bright enough. I also couldn't find a software that I liked enough. I removed the tablet and tried an Apple Car Play screen for motorcycles. It was only ok. I have since sold the motorcycle to get go with my Norden 901 as my only bike just because of comfort.

Would you be able to share the F3D file?

Sorry. Not sure how. I designed it in OnShape. It’s a public file. Search Kove 450. There is a new version I’m printing right now with a RAM ball mount above the gauges too. It’s in OnShape. You might try exporting from there?

@@adventuremikesgarage I was able to download in solidworks, which Fusion 360 recognizes all the geometry. Now I can pull a sketch from it with no issues. Thank you for the share!

Really nicely done. also appreciathe sharing of the file. I do not have a 3-D printer nor access to anyone that does. could I interest you in making one for me and I would be glad to pay for it and shipping?

I recommend having an online service print it in PETG. www.3dcloudprint.com

Thanks Mike, I'll look into it. I am assuming you have been out putting it through it's paces yes? Still solid ? No rattling ? Not hindering the USB junction/area ? Tablet does not vibrate ? Power connection working well ?@@adventuremikesgarage

@@stevebiron3036 It is a very solid mount. I took the tablet off and added a RAM ball mount for my Garmin or an Apple CarPlay device. I really want to use the apple Carplay device most but right now the one I got is not working well with gloves. Even with glovetacks. The Samsung tablet is not very bright in full sunlight. It mounts up very nice and securely but I don't like the dim screen. It did work fine with my gloves though. I may go back to it. I'm just not excited about having to pay for maps in Drive Mode software. I like that the apple carplay works so well with the phone that is safely in my pocket for music, maps and Siri.I really want to go that way but might have to return the one I got and get a 7" CarPlay device for Motorcycles. The Garmin Zumo XT works OK but seems less feature rich.
