The actresses each shared their character's special witch power and Alyssa explained that the show was more about the relationship between sisters than witchcraft. Plus, they shared which power they would choose to have in real life.

Very eerie to hear Shannen in the 90's talk about her parents health problems and now she's dealing with her own too. Poor health must run in the family.

She pretty much predicted wanted the power to cure health problems since it kinda ran in her family. I some way she knew she was gonna get sick in the future

It's sad how this show was destroyed by egos. I just started watching this show for the first time late last year and season 1 is AWESOME!!! I love Rose McGowan as their half sister Paige but the show just isn't the same without Shannen as Prue.

I was born September 1997. I was a baby when this show started. I loved shows like Sabrina the teenage witch so enjoyed the magic of this series.
Those friendships are gone, the only ones that are close now is rose, Shannen and holly. Those three consider each other family...... It's sad truly cause once upon a time holly and Alyssa was extremely close....🥺🥺💔

Alyssa is the issue. She doesnt want to admit she got Shannen fired. Just own it babygirl. But in a weird twist of fate, it was good for Rose because it allowed her to make a living after being blacklisted.

Completely understandable 12 hours shifts, long night shifts, bad management, egotistical males on set. Piting each girl against each other and the complaints of inappropriate SA in the press.
It can't of been easy for any of them back in 1998..its so different now and aware more.
I wish all 3 of them ( not including rose) would just ash it out. Sadly we don't know how long we Shannon for and Holy looks like a completely different person I barely recognise her?.

@@misslanapaulford to me you have really missed the mark. No “true fan” would find it bothersome that the cast reveal what transpired behind the scenes.
Real trauma. Take Buffy for instance, there are people who have outed the director/producer/guy in charge for his misbehaviour on set etc. it matters.
The truth matters and to say it taints a show comes across as really hurtful to the people involved and quite childish. You need to separate the art from the artist.

Please stop commenting the obvious lol. People are bound to grow apart. That’s life. Throw working with someone so closely with really gruelling hours and see if you can survive how many days, weeks or years with your “friendship” still standing. It is possible but it’s not the reality for everyone. Case in point.
Charmed was one and still is my favorite series ever watched growing up. loved the sisters bonding never had a sister also big fan of fantasy stories.i love it so much..🥺

Season 1 everyone was learning each other then the show was successful so egos came into play in season 2 and that’s when tensions of long days started
I feel like it’s never been a better time for all three ladies to do a reunion special sit-down “episode,” set their differences aside, talk it out, and let bygones be bygones. But and especially now that Shannen is facing a life-threatening illness and seems to reflect back on her life. These ladies need to realize that the fans love all three of them so much, and they were all instrumental in making Charmed as special as it was.

sorry to say but Shannen is the second child in real life playing the oldest, Holly is the only child playing the second, and Alyssa is the oldest child in real life playing the youngest. We have all seen how this played out and i can definitely say that if you de-throne the first children from their spot, even in a fantasy world...that will not work! I honestly think if the powers that be would've replaced Shannen with a different actress other than Rose the show probably would've petered out and we wouldn't have had this phenomenonal show that has endeared for so long.❤

The British band Steps did it in 2010, after splitting in 2001: All 5 band memebers sat and cleared the air and had it ALL OUT.
They reformed after and are still going 14 years later.
People grow. These women were in their 20s here. Now theyre in their 50s. I bet itd do them good to talk
All 3 started filming the series in a good spirit. The rest was simply life/work, I quess, because no one can really tell us what was really happening on the set, you have to be like social anthropologist - insider to really know and weigh things.. There isn't concrete evidence for each side being the only culprit.
Except the producer came out saying Alyssa wasn’t the problem. So there is some receipts out there but no body wants to fuel this fire that the 3 bullies won’t let go.
@@MalissiaCreates i missed that out.. well, i don't know... except that anyone sane will go eventually to the management and complain about work relations that are on the edge of bullying/mobbing, or had become that at that point in time. Even threatening them if they refuse to intervene and stop it. I would do that.
@@coltthestarsheriff3544 agreed. I remember back then in real time as it played out and Alyssa was a mess until the cast change. It seemed common knowledge how much of a problem Shannon Doherty was on any show she was cast. I’m glad that others have forgiven her and moved on and realize that it was a bunch of egos and growing up but it seems weird that they won’t let this one go. Only thing that makes sense is jealousy because if they were busy in their careers, they would be too busy to go to cons and complain on podcasts.

And Holly was probably not the last witness of a bullying who stands by the bully, just because he or she is a friend with a bully.

It’s mostly Alyssa. Holly, Shannen, and Rose all hang out and consider each other family. Alyssa is no longer close to either of them, she used to have a friendship with Holly but I don’t know what happened to that.
Izikmoreno. Yes. I think some of the friendship between Alyssa and Holly was an attempt of Alyssa to negatively impact Holly’s friendship with Shannen. Alyssa and her mom prevented Shannen from seeing Holly in the hospital and poor Holly couldn’t understand why Shannen didn’t visit her. Shannen went home and cried many a night anbout this stuff apparently. It’s sad. Shannen has had some really meannngful and enduring friendships like her bond with Sarah Michelle Gellar. I’m glad Shannen and Holly are bff’s again.

If they could have only seen into the future and how they have drifted apart. It is so sad, each one of them was so talented, creative and gorgeous they really could have made the series even better if they could have stayed together. Rose McGowan was also very talented and if another reboot came up, they should have each one of them back somehow. Because the original was way better and more relatable than the reboot.

Alyssa should admit her mistakes and apologize. It's time for girls to turn the page and live in peace. Let bygones be bygones. It makes me sad to learn so much about one of my favorite series in the world. My heart goes out to Shannen, she suffered so much and continues to put up an incredible fight of bravery.
You can't blame everything on Alyssa. For the longest time alot of people blamed Shannon and it wasn't like it was the first time.
We weren't there, We don't know what happened between the 3 of them. Some of it conflicts with what Holly has said in the past.. Take all of it with a pinch of salt and hope they make peace. Especially with what is happening with Shannon and Holly does not look well either.❤ Lets hope they sort it out before it's to late. ❤

The point I was making is that we don't know what actually happened because it was 25 years ago and we weren't there. If either or all 3 of them are lying then that spoils it for the fans. I grow up on Charmed...I wished at the time to have a family that strong. Its hard to separate it and it spoils it for the fans..

Misslanapaulford. I agree that it was so long ago. But in the past few weeks Holly confirmed that Alyssa got Shannen fired by threatening to sue. The show had no intent on getting rid of Shannen. Alyssa has also admitted that she regrets her role in what happened. Alyssa wishes she was more confident back the. and viewed Shannen as a sister and not competition. It was a truly low thing to do. Shannen was all business and treated the show as such. She was extremely dedicated and started directing episodes. Alyssa didn’t apply the same passion and became quite negative. Rose McGowan said Alyssa made the set toxic af and she kept wishing the show would get cancelled so she didn’t have to work with her anymore. Holly has also said she never recalls anything Shannen ever did that would warrant Alyssa “documenting stories” and dotting her I’s and crossing her t’s to oust Shannen. The other members of the cast were shocked and very disappointed over Shannen leaving. She was well respected by everyone on charmed. You don’t undermine your peers….just sad. Even Alyssa’s book title, Sorry, Not Sorry says it all. I wish all 3 leads stayed happy. Alyssa must have been SO insecure in Shannen’s shadows.

I could see why Alyssa would be jealous coming into it. Shannon was of course the most well known and front page star of the show. Adding to that, Shannon and Holly were already besties with each other in real life like the stated. I don't doubt the claims thatAlyssa got Shannon fired and tried to break the friends up (ie her and her mom not letting Shannon into the room when Holly was hospitalized)

@@athenstar10 As the seasons progressed, Paige's chemistry grew with the sisters. she didn't grow up with them compared to Prue so it took time for their bond to grow.

@@misslanapaulfordthere was problems growing between them sometime during season 2. It just grew too big in season 3 that it led to Shannen’s departure. I think everything was fine in season 1 but as time went on and life got more stressful they kind of took it out on each other, plus I heard the studio didn’t treat them well so that can also be a factor in the animosity.

I am not surprised. I can imagine unlike today the girls, where pitted against each other..you like gaslighting and outfits and media coverage.. The male bosses wouldn't have wanted the girls to be close and a team, cause then they'd go up against the male bosses and directors and writers. They wouldn't have liked that. It's been well documented from other shows like one true hill and others where the girls were constantly sexualised and pitted against each other.
What do you mean? Alyssa clearly struggles to keep eye contact around the 1min mark while staying how "happy" she is to work with Shannen. I bet the tensions were well present during season 1.
It looks like they were all friends until someone got difficult. Only one of these people had a previous reputation for being difficult on set.

Shannen's "difficulty" kept the show good. She demanded the best from writers, directors, and cast. In the 90s this was enough to label women difficult. And the show quality did nosedive after she left.

Growing up i am 31 this show was my world i loved this amazing show sooo much i was severly bullied in high school for being trans and i wanted was my sex change op and i uses to watch it and wish i was one of them and had the book of shadows to get my op be who i wanted to be and i have always been obsessed with mermaids and witches i love the craft aswell

No. They all hate the troublemaker, Alyssa Milano.
I watch it often. Rose, Holly and Shannon are the ones telling the truth. Some clothing and accessories odd at the time and dated at the moment. Some of the things ridiculous. The virtue preaching about men being scum while Pheobe character harasses several men contradictory. I never understood the normal life. In all they wanted to hook up too much to be relatable. What really bothered me was Pheobe going on about breastfeeding claiming women had to be on horseback and sans clothes to be heard, her character had an advice column for pity sakes could write anything that popped into her head. No need for facts even. Until Coop none of the pairings made sense. They could not turn back time to save pru yet several times after that episode they did go back in time. So curious. Why did they make Piper and Leo having marriage problems all the time? Paige first episode she helped heal Cole then nothing until Henry? Even Wyatt could heal. Billy and Christy made no sense but at least wrapped up the series nicely. Last episode best. Why could Leo not be married and an Elder. He wasn’t supposed to be married and a white lighter and did it anyway. Why were the kids not in magic school? Even the future scenes did not have them enter magic school door but the front door. Leo taught. Paige ran it for a time. It would have kept the kid safe from the cleaners. He spent enough time there being babysat for free. Why no Pru on the stairway that last few moments of the series? If that doesn’t say hostile fire I do not know what does. Even little kid 1970’s pru with piper would have been nice. The photo with Patty pregnant with the two little ones would have been great on the stairs. Why was Henry so absent for the last few episodes. Cole became the source by surviving the attack and protecting the witches. Why such hate on his character? They killed all the time but any time he vanquished was awful? I like how they portrayed adoption and sobriety with Paige character’s background. And that they brought dad into their lives the last many seasons. How did Cole have powers back in colonial times but not them, until they held an Apple?
I believe Shannen, Rose & Holly ❤ remember the personal gain spell in Charmed? Alyssa tried a personal gain spell by going against Shannen & it backfired because Rose hates her 😂

You can tell Alyssa here is actually lying. Look at ger facial expressions, the way she shakes her head with what she’s saying and looking down when speaking. The words are right, but the body language isnt.
