I used to think she had her point to be made and she’s one of those people who chooses her words so carefully and calmly that is borderline sociopathic. I, too now thing that she definitely deserves a lot of the blame for ruining the show. In my opinion Shannen’s exit ruined the show entirely. They had good episodes on season 4 and there after but it wasn’t the same show.

I am so so happy Shannen is telling her experience with what happened when she was let go from Charmed. Shannen was the reason I fell in love with the show!!!! She was my absolute favorite ❤️❤️🔥🔥 Good for Shannen for speaking out, very brave of her to do! Alyssa is the one with the problem, she strategically went behind Shannen’s back and got her fired. What a horrible thing to do to someone. It was so clear she pushed Shannen out in order to be in the spot light. No question. Shame on Alyssa.
Brenda was my favorite character in 90210.. I was upset when she left, why did Shannon have to be so difficulty with the whole cast especially Jenny Garth.. Charmed comes and she does the same thing… Alyssa had enough and had to speak up, what maintain in that toxic Environment, good for Alyssa for speaking up.. @@JazzieJoi woman are normally labeled "difficult" when they stand up for themselves. especially in the industry. they don't want actresses speaking their minds, they are supposed to come in read their lines, and hit their mark. if they try to be vocal, they are normally labeled a bad seed. Shannen is an Aries, very vocal and very passionate. i know that has gotten me in trouble many times. i'm told i get in trouble because i care too much. i see Shannen's heart and i know it's similar with her.

Shannen Doherty has sadly passed away today age 53.
She died before her time. I got to meet her at the late October 2020 Armageddon Expo in Auckland, New Zealand, she was an interesting person and in addition to acting I learnt that she directed and wrote for TV series.

Well her medical procedures are her business and I don’t feel like anyone has the right to judge someone on something so personal. Especially, when it doesn’t concern them.
But putting that difference aside, there does seem to be a consistent story of Alyssa’s behavior in the industry. I work in the hospitality industry and have heard from coworkers that she can be somewhat rude.

I think the problem on charmed is that it is much bigger for Shannen. She was let go from the show. That was her livelihood, and Melissa continued on. It was part of Shannen’s life. I think it would be hard to probably ever get over it. That hurt can run deep.

I’m in the minority. I don’t believe that cast members having disagreements with one another taints the historical significance of the original Charmed series. Shannen went through so much in her career and had so many things said about her that were untrue. She didn’t have the platform and support to defend herself. I’m not against Alyssa Milano. I’m sure she had a lot of challenges and pain she endured as well. I wish everyone would allow people to speak their truth and find healing& peace. That’s what Shannen is doing. She is recounting her experiences not bashing her former co stars. I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinions and responses. We should remember to be respectful and have a genuine conversation about it.

@@shannonsmith2642 Shannen was by far the best actress on 90210, I don't think she was an angel, but I think others may have given her a hard time, and she probably stood her ground too much. With Charmed, I think Alyssa & Shannen clashed too much & Shannen already had the reputation, so Alyssa used it against her. Anyway, we don't know what really happened, so we can't say either way. I wish they would drop it.

the show much like it didn't hurt her being fired from 90210 that was on for what 6 more years before it was cancelled. but sometimes the way someone acts behind the scenes and it becomes public can hurt or even cancel a show it doesn't always happen but it has indeed happened. or an actor is fired and it's pretty much the death of the show or a cast member dies that doesn't always mean they get cancelled but it has happened

I have to give it up to Shannen, she has consistently remained grounded and has honored the legacy of charmed until now. In the beginning when she was fired, she never mentioned anyone she said Holy doesn’t want to do the show without me either, and she said that she preferred exiting the show at its highest but never bad mouthed anyone including Alyssa. I will also say, some people drink the cool aid of being in Hollywood… Alyssa and shannen both Kinda grew up in the business except shannen had clear intentions and chose her battles more carefully, I think Alyssa really dreamer of being the IT girl/woman because those were the roles she was given and when she came to charmed it was clear that the IT woman was Shannen NOT her. For her to reduce shannen’s feelings as revisionist history especially when there are other people saying the same thing, implies that she was the problem on the set. I’ll even wager that the reason Brian Krause hasn’t even said anything is because he’s that old school guy who believes that because he dated her he needs to honor her, but come on just the fact that he still is close to Holy and the others, and shows up while she’s has to do her sorry tour alone speaks volumes about her character. She’s a whatever the camera needs at this moment type, and we’re no longer in the 90’s where pretty was the only thing that mattered.

Shannen has always taken accountability for her behaviour on 90210. Charmed was her chance to redeem herself and I'm sure if she was responsible for getting herself fired, she would own that too...Alyssa never seems to really take any ownership and dances around the subject.

Hard to move on when the people who labeled you and took away your income and health insurance is still denying their roles in her labeling. They wanted a star to exploit and being the sex pot of the series. That was Phoebe. Sad part is the first 3 seasons are my favorite. It never gelled for me after they killed Prue off, and NEVER brought her back even in pictures..

Aewsucks. No. The cast has all confirmed what happened and Alyssa has admitted regret in her role in what happened. Shan was the workhorse on charmed and Alyssa was a cunning jealous woman.

as someone who has dealt with a narcissist it is so clear to me what is happening here. in front of the camera or a public persona someone can act one way and behind closed doors can act a totally different way. especially when someone won't drink your kool aid and pretend you are the queen you want to be worshiped as. if people think you are the shit, you won't have a problem with them, but when you can smell the bs and say something, that's the problem. when i stood up to my aggressor, i had the most hate by everyone flung at me. the actual victim in this situations is the one people think is the monster. because the aggressor is so good at being charming and say the right things and put people at ease. and the victim is left confused and traumatized and scared.

First of all I thought this show was trash and couldn't watch it. But that's my opinion. These women are 50+ years old why does it still matter what happened 25 years ago?? @@louisfacade Cancer is an evil disease. My daddy fought against bowel cancer more than ten years ago . Fortunately they detected it pretty soon and they saved his life . My daddy had been a heavy smoker for decades , he also used to drink beer and all sorts of alcoholic beverages and that did not help him to be in good health in the long term… He is old now

@@LightLife4 It's not so much of a fued as the way it is in business. I love Shannen very much, I love all artists but in reality health is a HUGE issue that can help a business get attention. That may NOT be the ONLY reason for drawing attention to it but people love it for different reasons. Some love it out of pity, some love it out of awe, etc. Someone who knows business will infact know that to be true. They may not admit it publicly mind you but there are many things those who are well known do not share. People just THINK that they know some people, yet truly we only know what we see. I know that's why I'm no longer on the Jepson stage. I don't want that sort of attention. Probably why I'm not wealthy, etc. though. Although, that's not the only reason as I have no issue with talking about my health. If someone's going to like my art though, they're going to like it for what my art is. Shannen doesn't have that issue as she was known far before she got Cancer. ALOT of people don't mention this because it has to do with health and they don't want to take the risk of being honest on that topic. Honestly, when you have a life threatening health issue, putting it out there gains you people who watch, support you, etc. some who do so simply because of your illness. If you want a better following and have that choice, you are going to do that period. People think that is awesome and shows strength. It does too! It takes strength to go through health issues of all kinds but having health issues does not mean you aren't competitive, etc. anymore.It doesn't mean that you're nolonger a human being and human beings are often competitive, etc. That's a part of speaking about your health, if you already have loads of fans. It's just that admitting that fact is not something alot of people do. Just because Shannen has Cancer does not mean that she's dead. It does not mean that she doesn't have feelings that she has held inside for years. She's a person, like everyone else and she has feelings like everyone else. She just obviously deals with them better because she and all of the Charmed cast have aged. That's what ya do if you're lucky you grow older and wiser. Anyone, ANYONE in showbiz in anyway is putting on a mask for the public. In all honesty, even those who aren't acting put up masks in order to live. We are ALL fakes to a point. If you have to get on a stage and speak publicly you have to fake being happy. You have to FAKE being someone you aren't for your own health. Sometimes faking gets us through the day, I know it does me. Rose said that once that certain people were fakes. Well, I'm one huge fake and so are many in showbiz. I just admit it but that's probably why I'm not known too. *GRINS* I fake being happy when I'm not and I fake feeling ok when I feel awful. I could go on but whats the point? The public just often falls for this sort of facade and thinks that they don't. The fact is everyone has to put up a mask to live and that does not change simply due to health. Infact, some people with health issues can be very VERY competitive and downright cruel. While others can be extremely sweet, understanding and compassionate. We don't know any of them personally so who knows? Besides Charmed was years ago...if they were 100% over it they'd all just let it be. They shouldn't be 100% over it because they're people. They put their hearts into those episodes and that should matter. People have feelings and feelings can get hurt. I don't know what went on and do not judge anyone PERIOD! In what way was Alyssa "playing down" any situation by saying that she felt guilty about certain things? Saying that is a way of saying sorry. They are obviously trying to handle it nicer but when you are a public figure you touch multiple lives. Those people are going to have opinions on your situation, so why bring something up if you aren't still hurt by it? Still, it's ok to be hurt by some things... I think it shows strength to keep going personally and not to waste the time we have on the pain of the past. The past is the past.. I think they and everyone should simply live for today. You got away with murder for almost 25 years and wronged several people and there’s not even an ounce of remorse from you and having the audacity to basically say let’s move on already, this happened a long time ago. I love charmed so much, I own all eight seasons which I re-watched countless of times. I hate that this drama is still being aired out up to this day, its kind of ruining all the magic for me. I wish they could have a private behind the scene sit down and rehash everything without us hearing about it.

While this is fascinating and all, but it's time to move on. It happened, it happened. Shannon got fired because of her past, Alyssa just happened to outsmart her. I loved Charmed but this drama is over a decade late.

It's easy for everyone to say to move on. These ladies worked very closely together for years and were entangled in each other's personal lives. Alyssa knew Shannen was paying for her father's medical bills with her pay from the show. She knew Shannen had a reputation from a previous Spelling Entertainment production and that multiple firings could end someone's career. Alyssa knew that Holly and Shannen fought to do the show together or not at all. She undid all of that and didn't care. None of them said a word. They've held it in for 25 years, lying and being vague. Shannen has a right to tell what happened to her. If she'd put it in a book, no one would be saying to move on. I don't see what the big deal is with her sharing her experience with her many fans, who couldn't understand why she abandoned her character.

All they did was come clean with their fan base, who constantly questions Shannen why she quit (that's the lie she's told for 25 years to try to save her career). This is not something she's invested in. This is something she's vested in and traumatized. She was just telling the truth because she may not be here tomorrow. You cannot mend fences with someone who is not willing to admit to what they did personally.
You can't move on from any issue in life without closure. It's that simple, it could take 40 years and you're still hurt 🙌
It is clear that the toxic situation was created by everyone. However, if Shannen, who is my favorite, is still hurt that Alyssa "had her fired', I would concede she played a part in it but Shanne should also accept the part she played in it. Alyssa went through the right channels by going to HR and if Shannen refused to speak to the mediation thats on her. What would anyone expect other than being fired if you refuse to engage with the HR vehicles???? You dont want to conciliate? Then youre out. Also, a direct apology one to the other would be the place to start. Im sorry Shannen but they dont feel a dossier of questionable situations on set without everyone playing a part.

Rose blames Alyssa and thinks Alyssa and her husband are complicit for the whole Harvey Weinstein mess so Rose just has a lot of built up anger there plus she thinks Alyssa was getting credit for the #metoo movement when it wasn’t even her movement. Alyssa has never claimed to make it hers. She shared it because she herself was a victim too and wanted to give people a chance to also come forward. As for Shannen, Shannen is a diva and has had a reputation for being a diva even nearly coming to blows with Jennie Garth on 90210. Her behavior on 90210 is what caused her to be fired. She was repeatedly late to set for filming and such and constantly holding up the cast due to personal problems and they’d had enough of her. Ultimately Aaron gave her a second chance with Charmed but I think again she saw herself as “the star” and I’m sure Alyssa didn’t see her that way and I’m sure it caused more on-set tension. The dumb part is that here we are over 20 years later and it’s still being brought up. Alyssa didn’t have any complaints on her with Who’s the Boss or Melrose Place or Insatiable or other projects and still continues acting. I don’t know there’s just something very suspect about Shannen battling cancer again and Holly suddenly having a problem with Alyssa and uniting with Shannen. No one forced Holly or Rose to stay on Charmed. They kept getting renewed but it was ultimately up to them if they wanted to continue or end things and they chose to carry on. Alyssa is just being more diplomatic about the whole thing and not straight up bashing Shannen. Shannen, Holly, and Rose though are just putting her on blast likely also figuring that Alyssa won’t fire back the way they do.
All of them are trying to tip toe and be careful of each other but they aren't hearing that....... it's too much tension and i'd wish they'd talk together. like sisters do! life is too short... make it right ladies, regardless of who's responsibility it was. You made gold! appreciate that. we do!

Regardless of what happened charmed was a great show. I'm in my early 20s & I get such a sense of relaxation & nostalgia from watching that show,it's very hard for me to watch any show these days & get the feeling I got from 90s/early 00s shows.

Not really. Holly is so laid back and Shannen is too. She doesn’t take anything for granted. She has a great relationship with her family which is nice to see. I feel bad for anyone growing up in Hollywood though. They were never allowed to just be kids. There was always pressure and never a private life. It’s got its hardships for sure.

Keep in mind, Rose had her own issues too. While I’m glad Rose came forward over Weinstein, she is still problematic which is why SHE also never had of a career. I was there and I remember all of it.
Listen, while I don’t dispute that people have egos, I also have to take tabloids with a grain of salt. Tabloids were the social media of yesterday… to believe in the tabloids is like believing everything you see on twitter. Most of those stories were fabricated to obscure some other real truth or to generate buzz around someone up and coming so that people would tune in… it was advertising 1-1. Alyssa seems to be the most problematic out of all of them and that’s not even the issue, the issue is that she’s quick to point fingers while simultaneously appearing to be kind and graceful.

As a woman myself this is such a thing women do. Bitch to each other, be raging mad to each other, talk shit about each other while executives run with it and having a laugh. I feel like it all started with the studio and they all have ego's and so it ruined everything. It is so like women to still be so upset after almost 25 years and not letting go. Yes it sucks losing a job because of other people or person. Been there done that, and you don't have to be friends after all that, but damn girls, there are more important things than this, like health and life.

This is not news - back in 2001/2, everyone knew that the producers wanted to get rid of Shannon and there were issues between her and Alyssa (among others) & that Alyssa had said “it’s her or me”. Not new!
But everyone knows they wouldn’t have sacked her on that alone. Alyssa did not “get” Shannon fired and would not have had that power. Whatever other rubbish was going on was what got Shannon fired. I very much loved the show and still do but I remember being relieved when Shannon left because her character was getting so annoying and over-powered. Alyssa and her character were fine and Hollys character is/was my favourite. But it seems like Holly is still a massive sh*t-stirrer and probably the biggest ratbag out of all of them! 😂

I absolutely love Charmed. I'm rewatching it now. I'm sad though to see that things between the actresses are still are so very tense. Maybe one day peace can happen. Until then I will still love and respect all the actresses and love the show.❤

I think both ladies had child star egos and they clashed big time. Unfortunately because Shannon got fired from 90210 it made it easier to let her go over Alyssa. So once Shannon was gone Alyssa was then top dog and I'm sure production treated her that way which probably made her even more difficult for the other ladies. Hollywood loves to do this. How do we know for sure if Shannon wasn't the one who started bullying Alyssa, who eventually had no other choice but to set ultimatum to the company: either her or me, as you're not willing to make her stop? How do we know? And Holly's word also doesn't have to mean anything. In many situations and conflicts, people who are friends with the bullies are almost always on their side, gaslighting victims of bullying even more. I mean, it could be the opposite, but there is no ultimate proof for any accusation.
I dont know Shannen has always seemed like a sensitive soul who has always kept to herself while Alyssa is always in someone's face shouting about her politics.

I love Shannen, but she's been battling cancer for years. Yearssss. I don't understand why she didn't come forward "with her truth" much earlier. Hell, she could've come forward about it when the show wrapped. She wouldn't have gotten heat about it. She had been off the show already. It just doesn't make sense to me why this topic (of many years) is *still* being talked about.
The other thing I'm confused about is Holly and Alyssa's relationship. Holly seemed to be neutral and friends with all of them. And years later, Holly and Alyssa reunite on screen, as sisters once again, on Grey's Anatomy. (In 2019)
I remember Holly saying it was great to act alongside Alyssa again. Jump to now, Alyssa is wishing Holly (and the other two) "happy healthy lives" When did Holly and Alyssa stop talking to each other??
I think Holly is pretty cheeky. Seems like she can be very warm and disarming in person some days, prickly the next, and an absolute backstabber on others!
