    Congratulations to your da for the excellent camera work and I do hope you are paying him the going rate for a top class CZcams influencer 😜excellent video as always and the pre wash was superb and the car looked like it barely needed a contact wash all bar a few errant tar spots. Just goes to show that with less than a pounds worth of product you can remove 90% of traffic fillem as you like to say 😂 keep up the good work and well done to your da once again for the sterling camera work. 👍🏻

    As a user, and liker, of Magifoam I knew what the insane results of a suggested maximum 2 inches of the product in the lance would be. But I wasn't expecting the comedy clip of the guy face down in the snow. You had me in stitches with tears of laughter. Please, give a humour warning next time.
    Back on point: I tried rincing from the bottom up on my last wash. Although somewhat counter intuitive, it's much better. Next I think I'll try this pre wash system on one side only for comparison. Appreciate the tips

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos  Před 5 měsíci

      Well I try not to take this stuff too seriously so I'm glad someone appreciates it 😁😁
      A lot of people say 'magifoam is too thick' or 'it doesn't clean enough' but really, like anything, it's all about how you use it!
      Let me know how you get on in your 'one side vs the other' test, sounds very interesting and I'd genuinely love to know if there's much difference!
      And I'm glad you see the benefits or rinsing prewash upwards... It does feel odd at first but I definitely find it much more efficient AND satisfying 👍🏼👌🏼

    I must admit I never use a citrus pre wash anymore. I just have never found them that effective.
    If the car is particularly dirty, I'll coat it with Surfex HD followed by a top coat of snow foam.
    That always works well for me.
    Plus, I think if thick foam really isn't a desire, best going for Bilt Hamber Touchless as the cleaning is far, far better.

    I can’t believe there’s so much negativity around citrus pre cleaners, ok some are absolutely crap but that looks a really good combo, key here is the dwell time not the snow foam as that alone won’t give anywhere near as good a result.
    Brilliant method mate, gonna have to give it a go myself and see if it works for me, my drive sits half in the sun so sometimes there’s a huge difference in temperature between one side of the car and the other, having a longer dwell might just give me a use for those ph neutral foams I have lying around 😀

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Nail on the head Graeme!! Absolutely spot on as always! That's EXACTLY what I find this does, extends the dwell time and, like yourself, I'm hoping to make a lot of good use of the litres of pH neutral snow foams I have in the garage!!!
      I agree about the Citrus... I really don't see the issue, especially when you're diluting it at 1:24, 1:49 or whatever!! Sometimes there's so much misinformation being spread around and people jump on bandwagons 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Quality video again Mark. Ive used citrus wash and magifoam. Both are decent and I really like magifoam for the long dwell time so I can give the wheels a proper clean. The best citrus Ive used so far to date is stjarnagloss forst x but its so bloody expensive its hard to justify keeping buying it when others are so highly concentrated. Looking forward to your next video👍🏽

      @SparkleanAutos  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I've heard the same about Stjarnagloss from quite a few people, really capable products but the cost per wash is just too high for me to justify, not when I have so many products in the garage that can do the same job at a fraction of the price, all I have to do is up the concentration, like you say!
      Thanks again mate, much appreciated 👍🏼

    spot on, I do the same on my Outback with my Infinity Wax products - Citrus Pre-wash and Powerfoam combo is fantastic (and with my AB snow lance). AM Details have similar APC and Foam combos. Just need to make sure to get the dilution mixes right. Have to say first time I used Magifoam, it was a foam party for the neighbourhood!! 😁

      I was the same first time I used Magifoam but I've since realised that using it like this it actually gives a really good consistency AND doesn't hang around like a bad smell!
      Could always go back to adding 150ml in a lance if I want stupidly thick foam to entertain the local kids 🤣🤣

    Hi mate, another quality video that explains your process with logic that is hard to argue with. I also use AD Citrus as I bought 5L ages ago and I am not sure why I bought so much even if it was on offer as it dilutes and seems to be never ending even though I do a good number of cars weekly. I am going to give your method a try as I have never tried the citrus overlaid with wet then dry snow certainly interesting & on viewing it certainly seems to work. I usually in the main stick with chemicals from the same brand but have been mixing it up a bit lately with good results. I tend to rinse top down and the guy from Yum does also and his logic is that the chemical should have done its work by the time it is rinsed off. My reasoning is that once you are nearer the top of a door there are suds running down and they need to be re rinsed off again then when I am doing the windows I again have to re rinse the doors which is fine as I have time but if I am doing a decon wash and sealant and wax unless I have the car for two days with a weather window I usually need to conserve time. I do see your point of view as it is easy to see where you have been when rinsing but I hope I am equally careful on the way down. I know this is a contentious subject and if it works for any of us go for it as it has to be enjoyable as well as looking good at the end of the day. I look forward to hearing more of your views on your processes going forward. I bet you were glad of the help with the camera work it will really speed up your content creation and we might get more from in my opinion an excellent creator.

      As always John, I love reading your messages and appreciate the time you take commenting on my videos.
      AD Citrus really does last and this is me using it at a winter dilution, I'll soon be going back towards 1:50 or less!! (I too bought 5L lol)
      If you find rinsing from the top suits you better then 100% stick with it. I've told people countless times that it's a preference and there's no hard evidence that either will give better results, all down to how people like to do it!
      One thing I would say if you're going to try this prewash method is not to rush it - allow the citrus (or whatever pre-wash you're using!) maximum time to dwell BEFORE applying the 2-step foam .. I find this just maximises the results 👍🏼
      Cameraman definitely helped speed up the recording process 😁
      Thanks again John, genuinely appreciate the support 😀

      @SparkleanAutos  Před 4 měsíci

    Great video mate 👍👍.
    I'd never give it a thought to put a wetter first layer then go back over with a thicker layer. I'll be trying that on my next wash as it's been a couple of weeks since it's last wash. Just an observation but you've covered the wheels with citrus, could that be classed as a pre wash before going in with a wheel shampoo or would you still do a wheel pre wash separately??

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi Paul and thank you!
      Maybe it didn't come across clearly in my last video but yes, you are absolutely correct - this could indeed, and IS, classed as a pre wash for the wheels too... I prewash them along with the car and THEN go in with shampoo.
      I do appreciate that this won't be ideal for everyone, particularly in the warm summer months for people living in hard water areas due to possible risks of water-spotting... But luckily for me that's never an issue where I am 👍🏼🙂

    Hi Mark Need your advice I think I have got the wrong end of the stick when it comes to the pre-wash I would normally use a TFR to loosen the dirt and blast this off before going to contact wash But I can't find a good TFR that gives me the results I want So I was talking to the Guys in Work and they said TFR wrong thing to use as it can strip any protection you have on the car Bought Auto Finesse Critus wash only to realise it says not to use on chrome Now I am totally lost Going to buy Autoglym Polar Blast at the weekend Should I look for a citrus that doesn't effect the chrome and then follow the instuctions as per your video Appreciate the videos and the hard work that goes into them Please keep them coming

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi Gordon... Unfortunately in this confusing industry nothing is simple or black & white... Not all TFRs will 'strip protection' and by the same token some citrus washes WILL have an impact on protection.
      First things first, none of them will 'strip' a freshly applied protection... But making wrong choices does mean that your protection may breakdown faster than it normally would.
      There's a TFR/Pre-wash I use from a local company called A-Kem Automotive -
      www.a-kem.com/products/articu
      The pics on the website still show the older version/branding which was Anachem Articulate but it's now called A-Kem PreClean (it's exactly the same thing, the company have just rebranded recently)... This stuff is mighty effective even at 1:40 (basically 25ml of product in a 1L solution)... it's completely LSP safe AND it's non caustic - so it's safe on all your plastics/chromes etc.
      Hopefully that ticks all your boxes 👍🏼 if you are ordering from them, try the code - SPARKLEAN10 - doesn't work on everything but in some products it might get you 10% off 👍🏼
      Hope that helps 🙂👍🏼
