    I just start learning about Fude brushes recent years and I stumbled upon your channel which is so informational!! And the doc notes are just great for reviewing all the information again. I am very fortunate to have my hands on some Shu Uemura kolinsky brushes that are gifted from my mother years ago. They really hold up well.

    I have accidentally found your chanel. Glad that you are discussing kolinsky and sable brushes. Most videos and reviews I had read had been on squirrel or goat hair. Further, you have highlighted the shape and thickness of the brush heads. I have collected all the kolinsky brushes from Shu Uemura. Cost me a fortune. My regret is not having dupes of number 11, 12 and 15. Best eye brushes I have owned.

    I am so exited to have found your channel! I’ve spent the last week obsessing over Fude research and your videos have been so helpful! Thank you so much 💕 Happy Birthday!

    This is the content that I've been looking for! ❤️❤️ I needed to know the differences before I keep on purchasing. 😅Like I said before, I cannot tolerate scratchy brushes. For concealer under the eyes, I am pretty happy with Sonia G's flat shader that I have 4 of it and 3 of her smallest sky eye brush for spot concealing. I don't need to blend at all when I use those. So quick and easy.

    I had not watched this before purchasing my Bisyodo ES 05, I knew there was something very special about it, but you have demonstrated this so very well in the comparison section

    Thanks for the breakdown of kolinsky bristles. I only have a few sable brushes so I’d love to try the kolinsky sable to compare.

    Thanks for the overview, very informative. I will need to rewatch and make notes, still trying to sort out the designations that you explained. I managed to get the Shu Uemura brushes from SpaceNK in the UK 🇬🇧 a good number of years ago. These are the brushes I managed to pick up:
    Foundation #18 Goat
    Natural Portable Compact Face Brush
    Natural #12
    Natural #10
    Eye Liner #5r
    Natural #8HR
    Lip Brush #7H
    Natural Portable Lip Brush #1UN
    What was even better for me at least I managed to pick up a lot of the Kolinsky brushes at a good discount as they were fazing these brushes out. Oh yeah, I’m ashamed (not really) that I also bought back ups of the Kolinsky brushes too. Really love these brushes!

      Nice! I wasnt forward thinking enough to get backups of the shu brushes so now I'm stuck trying to find dupes! Enjoy them in good health!

    The sound and quality of your video are so much better! 😃
    The only kolinsky brush I got is the Koyudo bp034. It applies glitter/duochrome eye shadows so well especially when wet.
    However, I thought that would be great for applying those one-and-done cream eyeshadow, but it's really scratch when using it all over the eyelids...😭

      Thank you! I have an external webcam and mic now.
      With cream shadows like the Maybelline color tattoos (specifically bad to the bronze) I still prefer to use my fingers. Paint pots get brushes.

    I love your reviews and happy to see another one! Such a great topic. Love your top and the hedgehog card :-) Happy bday month! I did purchase some kolinsky brushes from CD Japan when you recommended a few and very happy to have them. What do you use the large Koyudo face brush for? The one that is over $500? Just curious. Such a large kolinsky brush :-)

    Hi, I have SU 12 kolinsky/sable but I am interested in 12S pure kolinsky. Do you know if there is much difference in terms of shape, softness and application? Is it worth to have both? Thanks.

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  Před 3 lety

      I'm sorry for letting this comment fall through the cracks! i dont have personal experience, but from the photos i've seen, the kolinsky/sable mix "blooms" (aka fluffs out) about 15% more in volume. the shape/size and volume will affect application and blending but i can only speak theoretically...

    So many of these brushes are sold out. I wanted more information re Eugeny brushes. Not sure I spelled correctly.

      @Jaybirdwalking  Před 3 lety

      Kolinsky is getting harder and harder to find. I actually only have two Evgeny brushes, powder and paddle brush. I don't have the cheek (polina) if you're interested in that one

    Hi! I was really looking forward to this video, I have never used a Kolinsky brush but was really looking forward to trying it especially for difficult metallics and undereye concealer. Last week I bought the latest Koyudo BP027 brush with the proxy system at CDjapan, it was a bit expensive due to proxy system, but I really want to try a Kolinsky brush. I have also meet a girl who sells the shue uemura 10 sable and the 12S - pure Kolinsky- brushes. About the 10 sable, , the shape is the same as the 10 that you have, (sable / Kolinsky) but it just says-sable- (not Kolinsky) , I Wonder if you know the difference between both, Just the type of hair? Thank you very much!

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  Před 3 lety

      Yes. Just the hair type. I think the presence of sable will make the brush a like more fluffy than pure kolinsky. But I'm not sure about this point. I'm so envious that you'll have a chance to own the 12s.if you pass, send her to me please 😉

      @@Jaybirdwalking In case it is of interest to you, there is a page in Japan called fudejapan that sells two Hakuhodo S series brushes from Kolinsky (S123 & S141 ). As far as I understand Hakuhodo USA does not sell Kolinsky and you cannot buy from their Japan page directly. I have never bought on this page but it is recommended by a CZcams girl called Fude Kyun. If I like the Kolinsky (as I told you, I have not tried it yet) maybe I'll go for it and buy on that page. Although it is Hakuhodo S series, it is cheaper for me than buying in Hakuhodo usa, but I am from Spain, I don't know what convenient will be for the USA.

      @@rociomadrid8038 it's pretty convenient. I've used Toshiya of fudeJapan before. I'm just super antisocial and don't like asking people to get things for me. Though I did just place a order for a Christmas makeup set
