2(1+2) is an Implicitly connected GROUP of factors and coefficients, just like 2πr. And should be interpreted the same way.
Just as D÷2πr (Distance divided by circumference) must be calculated as D÷(2πr), so must
6÷2(1+2) be calculated as
6÷[2(1+2)]=1
