Here I (Tanis Leonhardi; she/her/hers; of Seattle) talk through the Jake Wightman (of Great Britain), 1 mile road run race at the 2022 5th Avenue Mile in New York City, New York, United States of America (time of 3 minutes and 49.6 seconds in the final on Sunday 11 September 2022). With his time he achieved first place. I provide my take/perspective on his performance and contextualize it in terms of not slipping when running on damp cement/pavement.
