В году примерно 2005-ом ,мой коллега слетал в Японию в командировку по линии обмена опытом .Человек современный,идущий в ногу со временем ......как казалось ему.А то,что он увидал в Японии повергло его в шок. Единственное ,как он мог охарактеризовать всё увиденное он говорил "Япония это другая планета!".

these 80s boomboxes usually have nice tuners,get one of these connectors,plug in the RCAs ro AUX IN of your home audio amp, I cant paste a pic of the items,google the sources for 6 ft adaptor plugs
This is probably one of the more practical boombox-TV combination items. Most of them have CRT's that are only a few inches wide, and are mostly to the side or on top.
I have one of these which works perfectly too. I connected a £15 freeview box to it through the RF and it works just fine... Remote control with the freeview box too obviously so it makes me laugh to see a black and white tv still work. The sound quality for the tape/ radio tv etc is great with some decent speakers inside for the year. I have just the one tape nowadays, a Morecambe and Wise BBC special so it sounds like the right era too :) Great thing, but a bit bulky unless you have a big office/ man cave.
I see it's got av on the side which is cool because that means you can hook up older gaming systems to it like a PlayStation 2 or a game cube I like to see some more retro Tech from you

I just cam from a video where somebody was displaying a Sharp 5P-37G boombox. The TV Screen is much smaller, although it has separate linear tuners for radio and TV. They may not make them like this anymore, but they do have boomboxes with DVD's, color flat-screen TV's and SD card and USB inputs.
Nice. That would be neat to plug the 2 watt analog pirate TV transmitter into the DVR and be able to watch TV all over the neighborhood when doing stuff hehe
It can still be used today for example as an emergency back up for communication, the TV will need a decoder to catch the signal but the radio should be just fine to listen to emergency broadcast.
In case of emergency I would rathet use some pocket radio that can run ages on 2 AA batteries and not this. With its big speakers, backlight and LEDs that drain the battery and are not needed in emergency.
@@dotankoch big speakers means very loud , so if you are stuck under debris it will be loud enough to let rescuers know where to dig for you . You're right also, go with a radio that you are comfortable with.

I think you mean "technology in the *palm* of your hand" - yep everything is pocket-sized now and designed to be thrown out (not repaired) when it breaks.
Interesting concept and it would have been well-made. Early Panasonic stuff only came out of Japan and was top quality. It would have been nice to see a colour model but, in any event, the tv on these things is now useless unless you live in a country which still has analogue tv.

TV boombox was called "Ratecasse" in Japan. Of course it means radio+television+cassette.
Found one yesterday on flea market. Still works perfectly, only a lot of dust :p
