How to measure the level in a water bottle! (Setting up a pressure transmitter)

  • In this video, we'll be measuring the amount of water in a water bottle use an Omega differential pressure transmitter, the PX3005.
    This equipment will sense the difference in pressure between two ports and produce an output signal with reference to a calibrated pressure range.

    I love your technical videos, please keep up the good work.
    I have a question: I didn't understand why you measured 6.4 inches with your ruler, but transducer was showing 6.6 inches. Sorry, my English is not very well.

      Hello RS,
      The setup in the video was for demonstration purposes only, using a makeshift water bottle with the feed tube to the transmitter going into the side of the bottle. Because the transmitter reads the level from the center height (diameter) of the feed tube outlet it's very difficult to measure accurately with a ruler. Hope that helps!

    Is the volume increase but not height increase what happens to pressure
