Iowa Woman Fights to Keep Emotional Support Goose

- An Iowa woman is fighting to get to keep her pet in town, but Angel Queener tells KCCI that Blue the goose is not just a pet. He provides valuable emotional support for many ailments she suffers from, including drug addiction. Queener says she got Blue 14 months ago when he was just a gosling. However, the city of Chariton's municipal code reportedly prohibits geese. The thought of having to part with Blue makes Queener emotional. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I Googled the phone number for the city council there and called and left a message in the mailbox asking them to pass it on to whoever is the head of the city council there and I stayed at my case in a very nice way so it's not to get anybody angry but I hope other people will do the same and call them and leave a message asking them to please allow her to keep it as an emotional support animal because most people don't want to be seen in a bad light by the public in general and sometimes that will create change of people that don't know that they don't approve of what they have done

Please do what I did and I googled their number and called it and left a message in their mailbox asking them to pass it on to the head of the city council there saying that it would mean so much for them to allow her to keep the goose as an emotional support pet and I also made sure I said this in a nice way so as not to anger them but if they were to get a lot of phone calls from people then it could make a difference
It only took me a couple seconds to find the phone number for the city council for Chariton Iowa and it only took another minute to leave the message and so I hope all of you will do it if you really care about that woman and the pet

Okay so please do what I did and it took me no more than 2 minutes I simply Googled the phone number for the Chariton Iowa City Council and then when I called there and got the machine I asked them to pass this message on to the president of the city council and I said it very nicely and kindly that I'm requesting that they please please allow Angel Queener to keep her Goose as her emotional support animal as she really needs it and it helped keep her off drugs

Is she really helping him? She let his sister eat dry wall. Was feeding her a improper diet. She was egg bound and then laid 17 eggs at once. Couldn't afford the vet bill to get her proper care and she let the goose die! The goose need to be able to be a goose. And NO THE GOOSE DOES NOT HAVE POOLS IN THE BACK LIKE SHE CLAIMS. The don't even have running water in there house.
As a recovering addict AND someone who has every mental disorder this sweet lady listed that she has as well, LET HER KEEP THAT GOOSE! I have cats and they literally do the same exact thing for me so I know exactly where she's coming from!! Prayers!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Well if you want to show support for her you can do what I did and it actually took me no more than 2 minutes to Google the phone number for the Chariton Iowa City Council and then when I called and the message came on I asked them very nicely to make sure this message gets through to the president of the city council and I set it in a very nice way begging them to please please allow Angel Queener to keep the goose as her emotional support animal especially since it has kept her off drugs .
If you really care you'll take out the two minutes and pass on the message as I'm getting tired of repeating it here in these comments and it would be nice if somebody took my baton and passed on the message in the next few messages and then ask somebody else to continue

They didn't tell you the animals that have died in her car, or how .any animals that there is in that house. 7 dogs, hoards of cats, 4 chickens, lord knows what else. Sister goose just died in her care. A dog lost a leg and died in her care. Sounds like a good home to me!

I am neurodivergent and any mental support animal is a blessing to me. If the animal is not causing trouble it should not be reported.

That gator is currently missing. Someone stole it and released it into the wild. For the family's peace of mind I hope they find it. (That being said, I have never seen such a chill and unbothered gator in my life; it almost made me uneasy with how un-gator-like it was.)

Well then you get another goose. Some animal types just click with people, especially for therapeutic animals. I love doves and pigeons and chickens, not so much parrots or ducks. You could say the same thing about people. If they die, you're done, but not really. Usually the death of the loved is a thing that inspires you to keep going rather than lay down and die.

The way to get real change is for people to call the city council and flood them with emails and phone calls to ask them to allow her to have it as an emotional support animal .
I just Googled the phone number for the City Council in that town and called and left them a very nice message telling them why I believe they should do the right thing and let her keep the goose as an emotional support animal and I do hope other people here will do the same thing and I'm sure they'll see it sometime in the next week or two and I did ask the person to pass on the message in the machine to pass it on to whoever is the head of the city council

Im going through it with my eldest daughter right now. She has been chronically ill for 10 years, missed most of her 20s/ early 30s. Lost all of her friends and gave up on the medical profession. All she believes she has, is Bella, our/her now 15 year old puggle with kidney failure. The dog is literally all she feels she has to live for. She and i have not been getting along well for years, but i am terrified i will lose her. So please have a heart. From Canada.

Actually he's no louder than people banging music in car, loud cars, or other loud noises. He's generally pretty quite. And I've talked to a few of my neighbors who said they can't even hear him unless I have him outside so 🤦♀️

There is Zoning Bylaws for a reason. If she wants to keep the pet then she has to move to an area zoned for Farm Animals. As it is she doesn’t even meet some of the major requirements for livestock on a legit property.
