- Today I am reacting to @kaarijaofficial's hit single "Cha Cha Cha", the song he performed at Eurovision 2023. Although I am not a Eurovision fan I'd seen his song parodied a lot of on TikTok and Instagram and curiosity led me down the Käärijä rabbit hole.
The dude is super endearing and doesn't take himself too seriously, it's very hard to not love this song! So, join me as I finally watch and react to his official music video.

Yes, Käärijä was the performer everyone was talking about after the semi-final. The crowd in the arena overwhelmingly loved it, and Käärijä won the popular vote in the Final. The dancers were exceptional, too ! 💃
It was an iconic Eurovision performance, and set a new standard, that will be hard to match.

One of the things I like about this guy is that he completely lacks any kind of misogynistic undertones in what he does and how he is. And he doesn't take himself too seriously.
He is seriously too adorable. I’m addicted to his goofy antics and I love that he doesn’t seem insincere or it’s an act.

He's such a great performer. As he said in interview, his dream it's not be the best singer or rapper even, he wants to be the best performed of Finland and his gigs are total 2x1 cash!! You get such a powerfull performance (man cant keep in one place when singing) and you get a stand-up comedy show in his banters 😂 his is so witty and sarcastic 😂. If tou want, yes, i would like to wacth you react to the grand final or semifinal performance, but for Gigs, search the BlackBox one (first gig after esc) or Tavastia one too, that double gig in Tavastia WAS CRAZY™

Paidaton riehuja is another of his song that i love, for the unapologetic: if i want to be shirtless you can't do nothing to stop me. (Bte love the punk vibe of that song, if he someday performer it with live drummer, prepared yourself for that moshpit)

He is indeed hilarious . And seems to be a super nice down to earth guy . I actually prefer the music video to the live esc shows, as you can kinda follow the story in the mv ( if you understand the lyrics that is. should be possible to get English ones too ). he is fighting his alter ego, who is a happy go lucky guy who likes to dance. The eurovision performance is like wtf , and very entertaining ! Hope you'll make a reaction to it .

@@themetalmuse I think the ESC semi-final or final performances are lesser than the UMK final performance. He had some difficulties in the actual ESC, on a bigger stage, but the absolute madness roared in UMK final performance, at least with the dancers. They were putting on a show while Käärijä just concentrated on the performance. But for a Finn, it is actually just absurd and insane to see these reactions, and the love Käärijä and the song is getting. The total madness roaming in the audience in both the live performances of UMK final and ESC final.

@@themetalmuse he doesn’t have many music videos. But Mic Mac is fun and catchy. You could also look at the UKM performance (Finnish national final), and also the Eurovision grand final performance. They have somewhat different staging. And

@@themetalmuse I’d recommend UMK first, then ESC. There are similarities, but the ESC one is a bit more complex, technically. I love them both in their own way!

As a finn I can confirm he is fighting himself. Well, his anxieties, with the help of booze. It's a *very* Finnish song, sigh.
I guess you could take the green arm shirt and the drag as a story about being bound by masculine stereotypes -- that err thing with arms he wears sure looks toxic and masculine :D -- and then being free to be yourself in any form it happens to take.

Your not a bit wiered . He is hot because he is such a nice guy. Everything he does his amazing personality comes through.
That’s it entirely! He’s got that Pedro Pascal effect, not the daddy aspect but the open nice kind guy vibe and funny. Humour is key!
On the side, yes, but Rock has been part of the Eurovision right from the start and the door was definitely opened for the harder stuff more in 2006, when Lordi won with "Hard Rock Hallelujah". So the leg is in the door for Metal as long as the song fits the Eurovision concept, ii my opinion. In 2008 Teräsbetoni represented Finland, came 22th and made Jarkko Ahola more well-known and recognized as a singer. Käärijä's favorite band is Rammstein and there's clear Metal influence in "Cha Cha Cha". There's fun Rock, Metal, Punk, Techno etc. versions and covers of the song, so the song must have brought people together from all genres. One huge thing for Finnish music is that a song in Finnish became so popular. Also that the foreign artists and bands cover the song in Finnish-and do it well. Then again the Finnish Metal has probably been the best promoter for the Finnish language in the recent decades as it is. Some harder versions of the song out there; E.g. by Lord Of The Lost, Leo Moracchioli and Barking Mad, which is a Finnish band. Regarding also Käärijä, a fitting candidate for that weird song you ordered could be Waltari's song "So Fine!" from 1994, which also nicely combines different genres. Waltari was also one of the first bands to do a Symphonic Metal album, so going cross genre is their thing. There's also this 2021 anniversary version of their song "Below Zero" with Marco Hietala, which might interest you: "Waltari feat. Marko Hietala - Below Zero 2021".

I feel like Eurovision has shifted slightly in the UK now after Sam Ryder and we take it a bit more seriously now. The last few years the songs have got so much better.
