So happy you're back! I found this channel 2 - 3 years ago when I was in doing research on both UChicago and Cambridge. Your videos were part of the reason I applied ED to UChicago, and your PPE videos (explaining the thought process behind choosing "0" when asked to choose a number between 0 - 100 that you believed was the mean of every other test-taker's choice) was genuinely helpful during my Cambridge philosophy interview when the professor mentioned game theory! I ended up choosing to go to UChicago this fall after my gap year. I subscribed because your videos were interesting, informative, and polished - they're particularly helpful as I'm also interested in Econ, as well as catching a glimpse of UChicago life before I come to campus! Another reason I stayed is because your stories (what you've done during your gap year, your dreams, being financially independent!!!!!!) inspire me.

I found your channel in the midst of sophomore year (in hs) I was just beginning to explore colleges and came across UChicago. The UChicago CZcams community is very limited, so when I finally came across your videos I was stoked. From then on I determined I would be applying and just last December I got the news that I got in!!! This channel helped me gain the confidence to apply and for that I can’t thank you enough :)

I think you are a super inspiring person, and I've really enjoyed seeing your different projects and adventures throughout your gap year. I decided to take a gap year last summer after watching your video, and I've also been helping students with their college applications and working at a couple of startups: two in education, one in fintech (lol). I wish I got to travel around more like you, but I did get to experience financial independence too, and it's a great feeling. I'll look forward to seeing more content from you in the future!
Glad to hear that your gap year was fun and I'm sure kaiju missed you! I first came across your channel when trying to write my uncommon essay for UChicago and your video on it really helped me understand how to get started on writing it. Even though I didn't end up getting accepted after getting waitlisted, I still remember writing that essay and having a blast while thinking of different ways to put my thoughts into words. I found your channel hearing you prep for your admission journey with both Oxford and uchicago. I really admired your ability to strategize, your drive, and the motivation you gave me to try my best at this process! I'm a university student, and the motivation your videos gave me totally changed my habits and I am thriving.
As an incoming sophomore with zero experience living and taking in-person classes at UChicago, I was actually pretty nervous, especially hearing rumors about how intensive life at UChi would be. As a low-income, first generation (to-be) college student, I found you amid a chaotic search for some sense of the college admissions process, particularly as it relates to essay-writing. I loved your personality as you were, and are, so genuine. Not to call anyone out but you never claimed to have this magic formula for getting into X college. Well I was looking at Common App and Extracurricular videos when I came across your channel. I still remember thinking 'Wow this girl is so cool!' when you metioned playing the grandma in Bye Bye Birdie. Totally agree with having some way to double check if there is some type of plagiarism involved, even when students apply to different schools. I stuck around because your videos were really helpful to me and the things I wanted to do (MUN, college etc.) But also your personality really resonated with me (I wish I had a more eloquent explanation but here we are), I liked your sense of humour and vibe and you seemed to be pretty humble and open so yeah..
I found you because I was interested in studying PPE, I obv didn't stay for that, but I was so impressed by how hard-working and easy-going you were. Plus it seemed like you could be yourself in front of the came, which is, for me, the best quality an influencer can have !

I found your channel when you share your UChicago application experiences. I stayed subscribed for how useful this channel was for my college app, including non us options like oxides . I am also impressed by your personal morale, motivation shown in your gap year. Now as I head to uni, I want to share my experiences with others just like you did. (Another lucky coincidence is that I found all the friends group sort of overlaps, which is awesome! a real CZcamsr so close to my life QAQ)
I think I came across your channel when I had been accepted into UChicago and I was searching for videos about dorm life/life at UChicago in general -- that was the summer of 2019 (I watched a lot of college videos during that time 😂). Hopefully, when campus opens back up in full swing we'll run into each other in the future.
