Good game! Ruric was my first cedh deck and to this day I use it in tournaments and leagues, without a doubt it became a very respectable commander for the current metagame.

Great game! I got to see my very first cEDH deck [Ruric Thar] win against my current favorite [Urza] -- really cool how this game played out. Everyone had to put out fires which led Jon to being in a great position at the end. Even then Gruul pulled it out with all the sharpshooter lines. We even got to see a kiki-jiki make an appearance ftw!
This game has so much in it like you said. So fun

I'm not sure if anyone in your group has piloted a cEDH level K'rrik deck but that is my favorite by far. Too bad it's about to get an off switch installed via Karn's Sylex...

Thoughts on flashing in the Kraken - looks like you had to jam it there because of the impending Ouphe shutting down your mana rocks + no Urza on board for Urza mana (thanks Kogla). If Hullbreaker didnt get path to exiled you would have been in a good spot to bounce some important pieces on your opponents boards. Its always hard to say what would have happened but I still think jamming the HH had to be done since it was already in your hand & your artifacts were about to be shut down. GGs all around!

Because you asked at the end of the video I’d definitely like to keep seeing shorikai as a commander for cedh and maybe even a more budget friendly build of it/deck profile?? Also I’d definitely wanna see your brago more. Blue white are my favorite colors and those have to be the most interesting blue/white commanders in the game. Outside of those two I’d also be interested in seeing muldrotha as my friends say she can’t be cedh because of her cost but I’d like to see your take on that.
There is a very spicy Muldrotha deck on the cedh decklist database, its with checking out!
My Brago is not very cedh but I might need to make a edh version sometime. I think Muldrotha can hang in cedh but it is a bit slow.
Would love to see a Prosper, Tome Bound cedh build piloted. He really goes off in a midrange / low U meta.
Also, if you went a doomsday pile build for him, there's a hrap of different and quite interesting wincons that you can go for that fits the unusual build your looking for.
We’ve had him on in high power, I don’t think cedh yet.
That was a great game, just one thing important thing, when Out of Time leaves the battlefield all creatures came back, but all creatures come back the same way they left so the Sharpshooter should not be able to ping Jason and kill him, since he tapped the Sharpshooter to ping Jason when Out of Time entered the battlefield.
When out of time comes into play it untaps all creatures. :)

If I made a cEDH deck, I think Tymna/Kraum is just too good to pass up. I would love to see if I could make Alela work in cEDH but the sheer draw power of Tymna with Kraum is nuts. Love Kodama but give me them cards 😆
Tymna Kraum is all the value and best colors. Hard to pass up

If you haven't gotten around to it I highly recommend giving Magda brazen outlaw a go. She's my most powerful deck I've made so far and can hang with most cedh decks too

@18:39 The sharpshooter (and the rest of ben’s creatures) were tapped when phased out, which I believe means they’re tapped when they phase back in. Permanents phase in before a players untap, so it’s probably a common misconception that they are “re-entering the battlefield” untapped, but I’m fairly sure that the sharpshooter wouldn’t have been able to kill him there. Someone correct me if I’m wrong plz
That is how Phasing works but Out of Time untaps all creatures before it phases them out.

Jon’s whole deck is proxied! So proxy it up. It’s a great way to see if you like a deck first before investing all the money in it.
