These things are a life saver if you travel with kids. They get so cranky and restless on a long car trip. And you really don't want to give a little one your expensive laptop to watch dvds. This is a great alternative.
Yup that's really the only market for these! I just thought with tablets now they are obsolete but Amazon says otherwise!
@@DigitalDavid I don't agree because I have two different amazon tablets and I use them both.
Didn't know these are still being made. Good for long car rides and it's affordable.
I didn't either until I got the request! That is exactly what they are good for!
Can anyone help me on setting hue, contrast, brightness and saturation. Best levels for each for optimum picture. Tried several ones, just can't seem to get it perfect?
I'd like one for my nightstand. For when I can't sleep.
Awesome! 👍
Has it stopped working for you after a couple of days I just want to know before I buy
I just bought the purple ieGeek dvd/cd etc player for my daughter. The instruction imply that there is a stop button on the unit itself. I only see a stop feature on the remote. I find that the dvds and cds spin for a VERY long time after I hit pause or the on/off button on the edge of the unit. I would prefer not to give my daughter the remote as it may get lost. But I'm afraid that any of us could break the mechanics if we reach for the dvd too soon. There is a TFT on/off button on the top of the unit but his just turns off the display screen as you might do if you are just using an audio CD. Am I missing something here? Is there anyway to stop the spinning without the remote? Other than that, the unit is VERY impressive.
I'm finding that it takes just as long for the disc to stop spinning using the STOP button on the remote. I guess it just spins longer than I'm use to with other players. I'll just have to warn her to hit the eject button and watch for it to STOP spinning before she sticks her hand in there. I still give this unit an A+. I was able to slip the battery protection plastic back into the remote. Super great packaging on this player. Mine came in a sturdy flip-top bubble wrap which is what we will use to store and transport the unit. A+.
Thanks for the comment and sharing! Glad you like the unit and have had a good experience. Minus the stop button issue!
Hey my battery won't charge no matter how much I leave it plugged in.
Hello I have one and i was wondering if you know how to sync a cell phone in the DVD player
I don't even know what that means!
@Lindsay :If the DVD player has an AV IN port and your phone supports video over HDMI (and you have the micro USB/ type C to HDMI adapter, it is possible(however impractical) to use a HDMI to rca small converter box. The USB port in the DVD player may substitute as a power source for the small converter box thus allowing you to use this screen as portable monitor with sound.
@@ramonaltamirano340 - You can do that???? Crazy idea here. I want to input video FROM my phone INTO the DVD player. I have Nintendo emulators and Roms on my phone and I want to play the video of that on the DVD player. Can I do that?
bought one for gift and now nothing but “ERR” mode and It played one movie. I’m an IT tech and electronics geek and when i can’t figure this out i’m bewildered.
played one movie. “Home Alone”, after that only errors. before i return to AMZ, any ideas?
You'll need to reach out to the brand directly! -MB
I have for a few days this dvd player and the sound is so little what can I do?
Maybe you can use external speakers?

How do you fill in the entire screen? I don't want to watch 1/3 in the middle.
Have you tried multiple DVDs?

SWEETIE I BOUGHT THE IEGEEK DVD PLAYER. BUT WHEN I PUT MY USB MEMORY STICK, I CAN HEAR THE VIDEOS, BUT I CAN'T SEE IT ON THE SCREEN. AND THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT IT. HOW CAN I GET VISUAL BECAUSE THE MANUEL DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING. I CAN USE SOME HELP.
First thing to try is to make sure your USB is formatted into Fat32 and then it may only work with select files. You will need to contact them directly: service@iegeek.com
Is it a Region Free Player? Like can it Play DVDs from Other Countries?
That's a great question. I honestly didn't even think to test that

Can you connect it to a portable DVD player?
Why would you wanna do that? Do you mean connect it to a bigger monitor?
~B
IDK - i read some not so good reviews - problems with not working w/ battery etc or just wouldnt work- wayyy too many negative reviews so i might be leery ordering. It says it plays all sorts of cd-r all that but i have not seen review of that function working
No that's fine! I'd say if there are tons of negative reviews that would be a pattern for this product to be subpar. I didn't have any issues when I was reviewing it and I did try a CD-R in the video... I'd assume it would work with an RW etc as well but didn't have any to try! Thanks for sharing and watching the video! Let me know what DVD player you end up getting?
@@DigitalDavid I have ordered from walmart "Trexonic 15'4 portable DVD player w/TfT-LCD screen and USB/SD/AV inputs 99.00 - will let you know what I think of it after it gets here .
will this place my music CD's?
Yes it can play CDs too!
Do you have to put in an SD card?
Nope! Just your dvd or cd!

After two months it makes a horrible grinding noise and doesn’t play dvds correctly.
Thank you for your comment and sorry to hear about your experience with the ieGeek Portable DVD CD Player.
It sounds like there may be an issue with the internal components of the player, which could be causing the grinding noise and difficulties in playing DVDs. If the player is still under warranty, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer's customer support team to see if they can assist you with repairing or replacing the unit.
If the player is no longer under warranty, you may want to take it to a local electronics repair shop or technician to see if they can diagnose and repair the issue. Alternatively, you may need to purchase a new DVD player if the issue cannot be resolved.
Overall, it's important to address any issues with electronic devices as soon as possible to prevent them from worsening or causing further damage. cnl
