Dele is making an error. Yes, the Nigerian elites cut across ethnic and regional lines. But there two categories of ruining elites: the Arewa North elites and the rest of the elites - especially Southern elites.
The Arewa Northern elites are the king of the jungle. They have dominated and monopolized political power. The Southern elites survive on mere crumbs from the table of the Arewa Northerners. If you eliminate the Southern elites, the Arewa Northern elite will still survive.
