Full 2020 Goodwood SpeedWeek Timed Shootout final
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 8. 11. 2020
- The Timed Shootout presented by Mastercard is always the centrepiece of the Festival of Speed weekend. Presenting cars from almost every era of motorsport with the chance to blast up the famous Goodwood Hill in an attempt to claim supremacy over the world's largest automotive garden party. This year the Festival could not take place and moved to 2021, so instead the Timed Shootout moved to SpeedWeek and the Goodwood Motor Circuit. That meant that cars much faster than would normally be seen on the circuit were allowed to take part in an incredible sprint. This is the full finale to that awesome competition, and it includes #F1 cars, Le Mans legends, the stars of Gran Turismo, GT3 cars, modern #BTCC cars and more. #gwspeedweek

The Calsonic GTR is an absolute monster!
Absolutely bonkers
Fr
No wonder it was outlawed back in the dayđŹ
That time compared to the modern machinery is just incredible!
It almost looks like a cartoon, the way it changes direction doesn't look right for a vehicle that size. Incredible machine
Yup, that is a Calsonic GT-R with over 1,000bhp on the limit at Goodwood! đ€Żđ€©
Love that car, but the Porsche GT 3 Cup did bring also a big smile on my Face.
550bhp in the period. With 1k bhp it would not have bagged down as it did.
@@thefastandthedead1769 yeah they had between 500-650 depending on conditions. this one was rebuilt as a tribute in 2002 if i were not mistaken. with 1200bhp.
@@Fyrosaurus The Gibson cars ran up to 680bhp.
Yup, to set a time like that with brick like aero, means mega horsepower.
that skyline lap is stuff of legends! what a driver, what a car
Tipping my hat to Hill in the Nissan for driving it HARD!
10:21 Most iconic Skyline ever đ
The GT3 cup lap was mega. almost as fast at a full GT3 car
King drove that like a monster! What a lap !!
Yeah! That caught my attention like MAD!
PORSCHE!
WOW!
D:
Not the fastest but wow, the commitment was immense! đ
Amazing to see so many cars from different eras and classes go toe to toe
I think they should have put the names of the cars instead of the names of the drivers on the scoreboard
lol
I know!!!
I mean Tom Kristensen drove 2 different cars. The board is so confusing.
Or both
That R32 GTR tho. Phew. What a machine.
ah that judd v10.. what a sound!
What a feast. That Nissan really punched above its weight though
Vaughn's positive attitude and skill makes him a star in any lineup. Incidentally, I was just watching his qualifier for the 2.4 hours of leMullets. Racing has never been more fun.
It may not have been the fastest lap but my favourite lap by far was the Calsonic GTR!
Listen I just love watching the cars it's amazing to see how much technology has advanced especially in our automobiles I think every car there was absolutely beautiful
Brilliant! And some lovely 'periodesque' bits of photography. Wonderful!
That LMP got my heart racing, beautiful machine from 2001.
That was absolutely bloody brilliant thank you Goodwood R & R! The Nissan was truly outstandingly driven !!
The coolest is the 1995 Ford Roush Mustang Cobra SCCA Trans Am
Back in the day... even catching a small bit of T.V. coverage to see this era Trans Am SCCA car was Rare.. I'll say I never grew up with Ford's.. Pontiac and Chevy mostly.. but that Mustang Race Car looked the Best.. just Awesome looking even Now..
Oh and I will have a Vintage Pontiac someday, for now I'm classic 68 Dodge Dart daily driver.. peace
Calsonic GTR in my opinion. Car was wild and fast as hell.
@@AtZero138 if you liked that check out this car! 1995 Corvette GT1 C4 ZR1.
@@TheBlkzenki yeah. its pretty dank
tru
Lots of great machinery being put to their limits, so damn fun to watch. Do absolutely more in 2021, more variety, more challenges, please!
Ah yes a VE commodore. As an australian it always makes me happy to see it being used around the world.
Being the owner of a GTO, I really love the racing sedans, hope to import one some day đđ
that was bloody fantastic, glad this popped up in my recommended. Great commentator duo, made me laugh quite a lot :D
Absolutely brilliant, spent nearly every weekend in the early 90s watching cars blast around Goodwood. I even did a Volvo/Formula Ford track day there...
Interesting that Goodwood, ex RAF Westhampnett has a circuit record of 109 đ
Most excellent đ
Thanks, Goodwood!!
Thank you for the fantastic show.
OMG that JUD v10 is just absolutely spectacular
Wer ist auch hier von jpâs storyđ€Łâđœ
good to see you guys step up with the production great video
Danke JP, hĂ€tte nicht besser ins Wochenende starten könnenđ€©
That yellow Ferrari from EscuderĂa Montjuich... DUUUUUDE!!!!
Wer ist auch dank jp hier? âïž
being a Merican i love to see and hear NASCAR v8 used to go watch them race the road course at sears point CA ill never forget dale earnhardt flying into the first turn on 3 wheels such awesome stuff
Brutal driving by Harry King.
I love watching you, Britsh folks. You people have such class.
That Arrows is awesome, that's what I'd like, an old F1 car that isn't really valuable in an historic way, but still a car you can tune up and drive hard in events like this without worrying about destroying it.
That last run đđ. Wish they still sounded that good.
Merci JP!
Thank you for this video!!! Thank you !!!
This is just beautiful
Shows how quick that Arrows is when someone as good as Nick is slightly lost for words! And that's 29 years old that car! That's bonkers!
Those JPS F1 cars were just stunning in the appearance dept.
Absolutely amazing! Formula 1 does it again.

How can it bee the full timed shootout when 4 runs have been missed out? This video starts with the 5th runner. When can we see the Lotus Exige footage please?
This is absolutely awesome
Awesome sounds...
Calsonic Skyline and the '76 Lotus were intense...
Props to the Godzilla-Era Skyline engineers đ
Miss the old course, but at least we get an event this year, so can't complain.
THAT LFA SHOT THOOO...!!!!
No sound tho :,(
Super enjoyed ! đ
i don't normally watch racing but I ended up getting really into this and when Nick set the fastest lap I actually cheered haha
Good glad we got this at least!
Electric cars are coming and I hate it đ€Šââïžđ
It's stuff like this that makes you think when your seniors tell you "it used to be better back in my day", they were probably right đand as young ppl we scoff, but now we can actually see the same thing happening before our eyes. The generation in 2050 will have electric whsitling cars everywhere on road and race cars. We may tell them "natural combustion was better becuase it had character" (sound familiar? lol) and they'll just say "but these are faster and look cooler, plus less people get hurt so your argument is invalid". I feel old already đ.
@@koraxi8958 There are serious EMF health concerns with EV's ... it's best to make an educated decision based on facts not emotions ...
Yee
I donât care if people want an electric car to drive to the store but that sh*t has no place in motorsports.
This Mustang thing is a slap in the face to every person who ever bought a Mustang because they love Mustangs. Which is millions of people. Electric ok but turn it into a SUV? Just disrespectful and a disgrace. The people who okd that project should be ashamed.
Wonderful commentary.
Man, that Porsche GT3 was on the limit. Great drive.
I still love this
I always loved the JPS livery, reminds me of my youth ;)
that blue R32 tho đ„¶
damn!!!, go the R32 GTR awesome job
gj nick awesome drive
Wonderful to see the ex-Elio de Angelis Lotus 91. Sort of gives a good idea of how hard they were to drive. That one doesn't have the full skirts either. Still great to see it.
Very exciting
Ford GT, IMSA Sn95, XJR9 whaaaaatttttt legends omg what a spectacle. Dang it, past my bedtime
Auf Empfehlung von JP Kraemer hierđđđœđ„
I'm here for the R32 đ€©
You know a driver is fast when you are fast in many different platforms. Kudos to Padmore
So true.
Thats a natural born driver.
Just when i get it playing smoothly another ad ruins it and constant loading.
That old skyline was beast!
I adored the BTCC 2020 car
Never mind the looks, the times or the drivers, these are the best sounding cars EVER.
It's hard to imagine anything going faster than that last F1 car. I'd love to see what a recent F1 car could do, but I don't think they'll ever get the chance to do that again.
R32 GTR
loved padmore in the nascar with the slicks
And then that performance of that 1970 yellow weapon. That's a set of 51 year old engineering doing a 1:20 đłđ„Žđđâ€ïž
That Calsonic and the driver are total kickass!! Imagine if it had a current superfast shifting tranny. Probably second or so faster!!
How is this the full shoot out if 4 times have been set by the start? Really wanted to see the Exige đ
Now this was superb. All those cars doing what they were built for instead of languishing in some museum
dallara sp1 = eargasm
Those 70s F1 cars
sooooooo cool! can you make more Timed-Shootout for us?
The WSC-95 is a scalpel, great machine
Bin nur auf JP's Empfehlung hier ;)
id love to attend goodwood festival of speed
And thats why they Dubbed that Calsonic R32 GODZILLA
Which one of the P.O.W stolen racecar team is Carl Williams?
the dallara makes a noise that is just heavenly
That r32 run was mental
I almost like this more than the hill climb.
A blue touring car faster than a LM prototypeđ€đ»đ
89 ' Arrow awesome or was it the driver. The skyline was cool.
That was sensational...I was itching for more at the end...That 89 Arrows was just godly..I hope you will do the same this year..
i hope one day i can drive this
Calsonic gtr just proves how amazing that car is⊠jake is the best driver for it too.
Camermen should be told to pan out further. With close ups, all impressions of a cars speed in relation to the circuit is lost.
Wow nick is a beast
Holden V8 Supercar.. Moves...
I'm shocked by the R32! Coolest car award to the mustang trans am!
The Mustang GTS1's thundering v8 sounds unholy!
the old man in the ford wins. hahahaha i love it
Why do the commentators say the Nascar is a tank when its actually really close in weight to a GT3 car?
Agreed.. as I've been told.. calling a tank.. might be, cause they are designed to Understeer.. and need to be thrown around to make anything near what's considered a fast corner..
I will say, that era of Nascar turned better then Any of the new era.. peace..
I can't say I agree. Compared to a 911 GT3 R, for instance, a modern Gen-6 NASCAR Cup Car is 20cm longer, 10cm wider, and 212kg (467lbs) heavier (1285kg vs 1497kg)! It's also got 4-piston brakes (vs. 6) and the brake rotors are 50mm smaller. Along with no hood vents, no wheelwell vents, no undertray, and no diffuser, I'm sure they're referring to driving characteristics as much as weight or mass.
@@daedalus_20v The Modern NASCAR tracks moving towards Cornering .. RoaVal.. I don't like the name.. but that's whatever.. my hopes are that Next Gens become more Australian V8 Supercar racing.. I can hope.. peace from Southern California..
@@AtZero138 I'm not a NASCAR fan exactly, but my dad was for 30-something years so I sort of grew up with it. I always enjoyed when they ran Watkins Glen or Sears Point. Short tracks like Bristol, etc. bore me to tears. I'd be thrilled if NASCAR indeed integrated more road courses into the program and moved towards a more Supercar-ish style of car. That's not to say they don't take skill to drive as-is (certainly way more than it appears to the casual observer), but I think oval racing in general... it's just kind of getting obsolete.
It's really hard to gain new fans when the internet makes everything accessible and NASCAR at least _looks_ super boring to non-fans in comparison. In the 90's, you turned on the TV... if it was on TV, you saw it. If not, tough luck. Nowadays I can watch IMSA, GT3, Le Mans, BTCC, F1, Supercars, WRC, Moto GP, hillclimbs, drifting, rallycross, stadium trucks, etc. all on my laptop. NASCAR doesn't have much of a draw besides "hey look at this big crash!" or "hey look at these two guys fighting" and that gets old after a while. Watch virtually ANY Goodwood race and it's a thrill a minute, even with 100 year old cars going 50mph!
I actually did a ride-along at AMS some years ago, 165mph down the straightaway. The sound, the heat, the smells. Amazing. Visceral. Unforgettable. I'm *_1000%_* sure that drafting on a super speedway at 200mph is a butt-clenching experience unlike anything else, but _watching_ it on TV? Eh. It's like watching a 747 fly over. You know the thing has to be going 500mph, but from the ground it's just kind of... eh.
Because they're ignorant.
Cars I would like to see in this dispute: Argentina's Turismo Carretera; Stock Car Brasil; Formula E.
