This is the last big hoorah of the year for the bees as they build up their stores for winter. Looking forward to some Golden Rod honey. The water front shots are just off the back bay on Bernard Bayou in Gulfport, MS. - Zábava
Keep it up dirt rooster , I love my bees to!!
Thanks for watching Mark. Have a great season. I'm assuming you're in the US where we're going into spring.
We got goldenrod up here in southern Michigan and I always see honey bees on it it’s so cool to see that lol
Hey rooster,I have my own bees, thank you for the comeback !!!
I remember when "Golden Rod" was a chic/popular color for kitchen appliances. Guess that bumps me into the "old" category :)
Ha! Me too.
There are different tastes that come with different crops. It's kinda neat to compare them.
My nemesis. Golden rod tries to kill me every year. Lol.here's to allergy meds
You have goldenrod confused with ragweed
cool, will it make a difference in how the honey tastes? Thanks for the info bro.

I would like to collect as many goldenrod seeds and disperse them in a field, can you tell me when is it best to collect them? Now, here, they are blooming. Can I pick them when they're yellow or should I wait for them to die off a bit or completely? I see they float off with the wind. If I wait too long, I'll miss my opportunity. Any suggestions?
Wait until they are dry on the stem.
Thank you!
Great short vid! With the mild winters, we have some flowers booming through out the winter, i'm always watching on warmer days to see if any bees are working. It was 75 out today, saw a few out roaming. What river is that you were on?
Bernard Bayou. I was out there again this evening trying to shoot some time lapse. No clouds = super uninteresting.
Any time we're on the water is a good time. Even if it is boring.
denny porter I know. I was out there until a half hour after dark just relaxing.
Were you born on that Bayou? I was born and raised on a river in Illinois. been on the water all my life. Like you, I'm drawn to it.
denny porter I would say Creedence wrote a song about me but that came out before I was born.
Born and raised on the Gulf Coast. Other that traveling for work this has been home since then.
