My lovely father died 3 years ago today. He chose me, adopted me and loved me, made me feel like I was his child always which was challenging with my siblings. I miss him so much. Just because a person is gone doesn't mean the relationship stops growing.

@@RinniePere Oh I'm sorry Erin. It's rough when July 4th should be happy. I always try to think of his positive influence on me when I'm sad. My dad never ever criticized me. If he wanted to tell me something, he found a positive way to say it, very diplomatic and he was honest. He never said a mean word about anyone. It was the only really successful relationship I had with a man. I'm forever grateful for him.
