  • Jesus calls us to do things that we are not able to do. When He calls us to do impossible things, like step out on to water and walk, are we going to trust and obey Him? Or are we going to sit safely in our boat under the pretense of not being presumptuous?

Do not fear! We must have faith in every moment. Jesus is coming and we must be prepared at all times for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Obstacles in life are put in our way, so that we turn and rely on God. Lay it down and go to Him and ask Him for help.

I remember I was in this darkness spiritually and in this season of such physical agony and I prayed Lord help me and the darkness fell off and soon physically I was doing much better. Such a simple prayer but I knew without Him I couldn't do anything...

Tonia Williams yeah me too as well .. it's very physical .. flesh waging the war against the spirit ..
I was going over some old things I now have small "dispensation" with God's spirit .. the boat being one .. and Gods work/worlds work. ..
I low key see how Jesus operated and just like the hidden in plain sight type of vibe I get from Gods mystery being made known by revelation to Paul .
Out of all that zeal Paul had he managed to find peace amongst the persecution of his time .. shouldn't that be automatic for us in this day and age with the great counselor .. God's grace be sufficient when Paul had his thorn as well .. God's power is displayed in our weakness ...not our strength. 👑
But it's key not to grieve and trouble where Gods spirit may dwell in our lives .
The freedom the world offers isn't free .. but Gods eternal freedom is .. no sacrifice is needed .. it's already been paid for .. it's all in blood .
Seek first Gods kingdom the rest fall into place. And somewhere between ye of little faith. .. and ye of child like faith .
If anyone follow they must first deny themselves and carry the cross. Nor can we serve both God and money ... the devil has led the entire world astray .. we all been bamboozled . Happends to the best of us.. according to scriptures. .

Paul Gross also, if you would of actually listened to this sermon and its entirety you would then be able to make sense of my comment. Instead you just come on here to harass people.

The word immediately is used a minimum of 23 times in the New Testament! Imagine that! Jesus says it, just do it!

I think there is good reason to fear being presumptuous. Consider Samuel 15:23 - "For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king.” Maybe Peter wasn't presumptuous because he saw that Jesus already was walking on the water, and Jesus told them the things which he does, they will do greater (though I dont know if he said that to them before or after he walked on water). It's not really presumption if you have proof it isn't sinful/against God's will (Jesus is doing it). This should be contrasted I think with things we aren't sure are God's will.
Maybe a good thing to say would be to refer to Philippians 4:6-7: 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say, but it seemed like you were suggesting presumption is okay in the framework of trusting God. Scripture to me seems to suggest otherwise.
