I love watching peoples faces as Marcelito switches between parts. Almost without fail a beatific smile creeps across the face and then a childlike acceptance of something so unreal that is happening right before their eyes appears. In other cases frustration, disbelief, even anger at the perceived trick being played on them predominates. Eventually, after they listen to more of his music they will realize that Marcelito is the real deal.. a huge and unique talent. It is going to be a wild ride .....Enjoy.

FYI….At the end of the concert he had been teased by one of the engineers so he was spitting out the high, female, voice. Great video. I’ve heard that he’s singing in counter tenor & baritone.

He had never gone into formal training in voice lesson. Everything is just naturally in him when he rendered his songs in any platform. this is amazing which means he so has an extra ordinary voice which can easily switch without much effort. A God-given talent thats purely original and matchless.

ILLINOIS during his concert tour here in Chicago. The venue was packed that they even have to add more chairs before the show started. It was amazing as he sang THE PRAYER,
NEVER ENOUGH, BEAUTY AND THE BEASTS, DESPACITO, TIME TO SAY GOODBYE, etc., and several Tagalog songs and Visayan songs too. Watching from Illinois USA: 04-04-2022.

Our Philippines pride, Marcelito has no vocal training, lived as a street child in abject poverty, abandoned by his mother at age 7, while his father was in jail…joined Pilipinas got Talent in 2011 & won! (Note that at the end of his song, an engineer in the radio station teased him to cough out Celine Dion from inside him, so he wittingly obliged, hence the nice smile!) He also competed in AGT in 2019 but finished only 4tn. Majority believed that was not fair because it was evident from the standing ovations of the 3 judges & the audience that he deserved to be first, & clamored for the Golden Buzzer! Back in the Philippines he goes to very remote places , helping the poorest of the poor, to build simple houses! What a kind soul, sharing his blessings because he once experience how to be homeless himself! God bless Marcelito forever!

Marcelito has never had any vocal lessons. He was homeless from age 7 and lived on the streets of the Phillipines. At age 18 he realized he could sing the "female" voice. He won The Phillipines Got Talent in 2011 at age 24. He is currently on tour in the U.S. and Canada! I just love him!

I think many people who have not tried singing them self, don't actually realize exactly how hard it is to do what Marcelito Pomoy does from a technical standpoint.
The fact that he can swap so fast is almost a biological wonder in it self.
Most people need a bit more time to adjust their larynx.
Especially when going from a higher pitch to a lower pitch and simultaneously changing both the texture of the tone and the style in which it is sung.
Incredibly well done performance.
He sang 'Beauty and the Beast' and imitated the original singers thereof too. That is what he tried to showcase in AGT US show. He imitates other singers voices almost to perfection which overshadows his vast voice range and his other singing talents.

Marcelito is famous for being able to mimic just about any singer, male or female, in a multitude of languages. He's like a human tape recorder, simply reproducing the voice of the original artist as close as he can, sometimes doing it better. A good example of this would be his singing of Despacito in Spanish, another language he doesn't speak. The only language he's fluent in is his native Philippine Tagalog. As for going on tour, he's on an American tour right now.
Actually, in his hometown in Zamboanga, southern part of the Philippines where he grew.. he was exposed to Cebuano a Visayan language, and Chavacano, a Spanish creole language remnant of the Spanish colonization of the country for 333 years... that is why he can speak and sing Spanish fluently.
I question the classification of "human tape recorder". To compare a cold mechanical device with a superbly talented sentient being is profoundly inaccurate. Both singers who performed this song are noted to be hugely talented stars in their own right, but in Marcelito you are hearing one person performing both roles brilliantly, with a few subtle personifications that remove this version from being a pale copy. I do not believe that either Celine or Andrés , great singers as they are, can do what Marcelito is doing. Yes, they perform in their own voices and languages wonderfully, but neither one could sing both roles .. their voices are simply not tuned that way. After listening to many performances across many genres and languages I believe Marcelito Pomoy to be a rare and unique talent who has not yet reached the limit of his ability. He belongs in the upper tier of great international artistes.

Anastasia. Marcelito has had no vocal training and grewup on the streets and taught himself to sing and found he could do both voices whilst singing to chickens
Anastasia you need to check out his appearance on AGT...He stunned everyone. Not bad for a guy who was abandoned on the streets in the Philippines. Ge did odd jobs to make a dollar a day for food. He has never had singing lessons...he taught himself to sing to help him deal with living on the streets. Now he's SITTING at a mic singing on a moving bus radio station and singing in two languages he doesn't speak ( English and Italian )
