    I have the dewalt version, i love it. Home Depot has them for 100 right now instead of 150, ... however the ridgid is also on sale, 2 fans for 118. I know where id spend my money

      I had no idea they were on sale right now. I might have to check that out. I'd kind of like to get the new Ridgid fan, I have the newest DeWalt fan and it's definitely more powerful than the one in this video.

    I'm in the Ridgid platform. I'll stick with it. Should do a longevity run test.

      The Ridgid fan is one of the most important tools to get the LSA on in my opinion. The ability for that fan to run 24-7 is where the LSA will really come in handy. If any issues come up with either of the fans I will do a video on it.

      As do I. I think they hit a home run having the turn style switch instead of a 1,2 or 3 speed selector like Ryobi and Milwaukee currently have.

      From what I've seen with the other brand fans, I really think the DeWalt is the nicest one since it has the turn dial switch and pretty good air flow for its size.

    • @tgltoday2717

      Just under 3 hours for the 1.5ah if I remember right. That is on the high setting as well.

    I don’t know if the dewalt is really better enough for the price difference

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 3 lety +1

      Agreed. I think it comes down to what battery platform your are on and if the Ridgid LSA is something you really want. I think the LSA on a fan is a big deal. If you get the $75 clearance price on the DeWalt, then I'd go DeWalt for sure. If they are both normal price, I'd go Ridgid.

    I wonder how the newest Ridgid fan would compare to this newest Dewalt fan? This is the older Ridgid fan. I'm fixing to buy a Dewalt or Ridgid fan now. I really like that I can get lifetime service warranty on my Ridgid tools though.

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 2 lety +1

      I was actually just thinking about that today when I saw a video with the new ridgid fan in. Imo a fan is the perfect tool for a life time service agreement as it could run 24-7 and be very helpful.

    20v vs 18v?10.5% more power,but 50 dollars more expensive.

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 3 lety +1

      Voltage wise, they are the same. Basically DeWalt uses the maximum rating of the cells in the batteries which is 20 volts and Ridgid uses the nominal rating of the cells in the batteries which is 18v. Both of these platforms have a max of 20v and a min of 18v. I can't explain it down to a science but there a plenty of videos online that know a lot more about it then me.
