- This we're back in Atlantic City at the Hard Rock Casino. I'm playing during the band breaks at the Lobby Bar which is right in front of the event space and this night was a Kelly Clarkson concert! I had a lot of fun. I defintely ran through alot of my weddingish crates but I'm okay with being cheesy every now and then.

We always learn and get better the next time. So much music to play sometimes we forget to play some songs or we have idea and then forgot because we are in a different lane. Overall you rocked it!
🎰The mistake at 23:46 worked out ok as a dramatic pause. We are definitely our own worst critics, but I think you did a great job matching the energy of the crowd later in the night! 🎰

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You actually did an amazing job from what I seen. You said you’re not as good of an open format DJ as you thought you were. I beg to differ, because me watching your set made me say that I might not be as good as an open format DJ as I thought I was 😂😂. Man I really appreciate this one. Its crazy to see how when as a DJ you notice your mess-up but nobody really notices. That look you gave the camera when you missed that one transition was priceless. I think you did great considering the different types of crowds. This was no doubt a great vlog though. Best series on CZcams!
Yo! You did really good! I love the way the band gave you the hype intros after their set. As always, we'll always be harder on ourselves than the people listening to the music. I've heard you say before, if you get them up dancing, you're doing your job. You damn sure did your thing! That's a win bro.
I appreciate you! I don’t want to just do the job though. Getting people to dance is a DJ bare minimum. Striving to be better than the bare minimum is hopefully what will set me apart.

You did awesome! I liked that you show case the transitions which is what most of us dj’s are looking for. One thing I did notice is that on some transitions the energy would go from high to low. By stemming out a high energy beat in to a not so high energy. I don’t think is about genre but about energy and riding through it. I’m no expert I do the same but dude you did amazing! Cheers!!!

Finding the intros that fit the acapella outs such as enhancing and don't take away from the previous song like its a minor thing but in the mind feels like something doesn't sound right. You did great an very professional and you had enthusiasm.

Since you had to cut a lot of the video, it’s hard to say what I would have added.
I’ll admit you did play it safe, but honestly I would have too. Sometimes finding that pocket of known bangers is an easy hole to slide into, but you still crushed the event, & that’s what matters! Especially with the starting & stopping constantly going on
You played the room appropriately. You made some swerves. Great job 👏🏾
with open format I feel like you did pretty well, its all about timing and knowing different genres of music forreal forreal, with that crowd beginning with 80-90s top hits and than boom early 2000s hits for the rest of the time. looking up what were the top hit songs from each era really helps especially with a mixed crowd those are the songs that every one no matter race, gender, etc knows.
Loved your set and track choices. Quality mixing too. My kind of vibe. I'd listen to whole set quite happily if you feel like making a mixtape with this!
Smooth transitions. Hate when we get no reaction 😂 That 70s soft rock and soul is where it’s at. And so many hip hop tracks come from that

Love your video it give me an insight into club & dj life over the pond (as I’m a dj in the UK). Don’t be so hard on yourself. As 20-30 good mixes way out the 1-2 bad mixes. I think you should do some video on your process of preparing your tracks & techniques. Let us go on the journey with the learn process with you as well as just the gigs. There is nothing on CZcams about open format stuff & the process that goes into it. It all about house, hip hop, techno ext.
For the week i was there in 2022, the bands were good but everything ended too early. Glad to see they added a DJ
Great job with the song selection!!! When you hit em with Dazz Band in your 1st set, I knew you were headed for a special night. Just a word of advice, for old heads, try to play 1st verse, 1st chorus, 2nd verse, and then transition on that second chorus. We like hearing the song. Great job bro!!

I think you played it pretty safe with your transitions, but sometimes that's the way to keep the room. Way to find some stuff to work on, and make sure to hold yourself to it! That's one of my weak points.

I used to DJ in the 90s with Technics 1200 & Numark mixers & although the modern equipment is different & advanced now, It still takes me back to the mixing days. Respect.
Yep on song. The playlist was on point and you played to the crowd in front of you. When you say you "stuffed up" did you notice anyone on the dance floor reacting? Nope, they did not notice. Not every mix will be perfect, to be honest if it was it would get boring. You have the skill to brush it a side and get on with it. Well Done!

That vocal echo out thing on Serato stems is my favorite, and probably most people's.
You had good sets & a good variety of different genres! On another note the pioneer srt is a ok controller but when activating stems on both sides sucks because you can accidentally hit another button. Which I have done, that's why I been rocking the rev5 a lot better because cues & stems in the center

That Sir Mix-a-Lot transition was 🔥🔥🔥. I will say I do appreciate even showing the minor errors during transitions but still bounced back and kept it going. The crowd still loved it and the vibe stayed lit. I always like your style as well between transitions. You honestly did great in my opinion 💯
