I think it is fantastic that you fish with Craig. I can tell he really looks up to you not only as an angler but also as a good friend. When I was younger I had a guy at work that took me under his wing so to speak and taught me how to smallmouth fish on the Tennessee River. He passed away several years ago and I dearly miss him. I could never have repay him for all the knowledge he shared. I have a funny feeling Craig feels the same way about you Mark. Lots of memories being made on those trips you share with people. Great video Mark. Really enjoyed this one. Brought back memories.
My story of today is kind of similar to yours. I just got back home from hiking 14 km( or about 8.7 miles for my American friends.)up a mountain to spread one of my best friends ashes on one of his favorite salmon rivers. 3 more rivers to go before our journey is complete. Similar to your dear friend, this man taught me how to salmon fish. RIP to your friend and RIP James.
Alex Rawleigh I have a similar thing happening now I am 32 and I work with a guy who is 63 where Blue Jean overalls every day old school gentleman he has taught me so much in the mechanical world knows how to work on just about anything his passion is steam engines
Craig is just a peach! So unassuming and always so happy. You are very fortunate Mr. Hood to have a friend of such high caliber. We all here in my Virginia Hood Circle always look forward to seeing you, Craig. Stay well and all the best to you! From the Blue Ridge Hills of The Old Dominion, Va. Cork and friends
Craig: No gators or snakes? Ok, I am all in!👍😉 You will always remember this double drill! Fantastic fishing!!! Greetings from germany Edit: the sky and clouds looks just marvelous!
Been in East Tennessee for 15 years but grew up in NO and fishing grand isle. Dodged many storms in the truck there. Nice to see home again. Good job !!!
It's funny. I live in California and here in the big valley we only get about 10 inches of rain a year. When a storm blows through, we get out of the truck and stand in it.
Craig sounds like the guy from Swamp People that said “Shootem Lizbeth Shootem” lol but enjoyed this video a lot even tho I mainly do bass fishing I’m trying to get ideas on what I need to catch big cats with
My homie from Hawaii would rob sparrow nests from under bridges and rubber band them to his hook and let them flap on top of the water, he said cats would come up from the bottom to eat them.
Seems like a collapsible canopy or maybe better yet a tall pop up hub floorless non-insulated ice fishing shelter would suit days like this on trips where you use a pickup or big vehicle.
Yea. That or an umbrella. Looked warm out there. Either one of those boys could have used a nice cool shower. They are like my dog when I bring a hose out.
I'm the same way when it comes to my reels all my buddies hate my set ups cuz they all reel left handed and and glad to see Craig catching some nice fish any other time he is catching dinkers lol
Man what are those other fish up in the canals around engineers, I've caught catfish, cichlids, and small bass but can't get them others to bite, I don't think they're gar they roll on the surface alot unless I'm mistaken dorsel fin is to far forwards. I seen a giant fish this afternoon like 4' long ain't a gator in the canal.
I ALWAYS ASK PEOPLE WHY THEY LEAVE THE REEL HANDLE ON THE "LEFT" WHEN THEYRE RIGHT HANDED. YOU CAN REEL BETTER WITH THE HAND YOURE BEST WITH. EVERY RIGHT HAND REELER THAT REELS ON THE LEFT GET THIS AWKWARD STOP N GO MOVEMENT AS IF THE HANDLE GETS STUCK. ITS EASY TO PULL THE ROD WITH YOUR OPPOSITE HAND. ESPECIALLY WHEN USING YOUR BODY TO RARE BACK AND PULL TOO. IF YOURE LEFT HAND PEOPLE SWITCH YOUR HANDLE TO THE RIGHT AND VISE VERSA.
It’s hard to believe that sharks can come in fresh water like that. I know they do and I’m not saying y’all are wrong I know they do. Just don’t seem right.
Morning Mr Hood,I have to say this,no disrespect, but I have always fished with my father and even if it stormed we wouldn't even care. The fishing was still very good, but you guys always complain about a little bit of Rain and I don't even understand why.

You ever try for Flounder there? Back in my day I would catch some nice big ones there at the Fort.. Congratulations on your PB.
I've never caught one on line. I've gigged some.
OMG!!! It's a Klingon catfish!!!
Craig is a little softy, rain never hurt anybody.
Lol.. Craig is a switch hitter.
Nice 👍🏾

I really hope Craig picked up the coke can he chunked at the end of the video please tell me he did

Anyone else notice the rainbow in the clouds as they were bringing in the double
I love a reel handle on the right & I am right handed.
Seems like a collapsible canopy or maybe better yet a tall pop up hub floorless non-insulated ice fishing shelter would suit days like this on trips where you use a pickup or big vehicle.

Crazy I caught a catfish with knots on his head like this today
Probably a new species and you boys keep throwing fish back that they would name after you if you just took one to a biologist.
I set my spine cast up the same way on the right it just works better for me
👍👍
Damn man, if youre ever trying to hoste some people ive been trying to take my boys fishing and catch some big cats.
mr. hood why use those big 10'/12' rods?
I'm the same way when it comes to my reels all my buddies hate my set ups cuz they all reel left handed and and glad to see Craig catching some nice fish any other time he is catching dinkers lol
Did Craig throw his drink can on the ground right at the end? Enjoyed your day.
I asked the same thing
He did. I'm gonna assume they walked around and did a final cleanup after the cameras shut off...or at least I hope so.
He threw it in the bed.
Did anyone know what was on his head or why it grew like that?
I've never seen fish like that gave top.
I reel with my right hand just like I do a bait caster or spin caster. I’ve never reeled with my left hand
Man what are those other fish up in the canals around engineers, I've caught catfish, cichlids, and small bass but can't get them others to bite, I don't think they're gar they roll on the surface alot unless I'm mistaken dorsel fin is to far forwards. Let’s get Craig a flathead on inland Mississippi!
We're is this place in mississippi?
I fish and shoot long guns left handed .my father and older brother were both left handed so all the hand me downs were left handed

Top 😊😉👋✌🏻👌🏻👍👍👍👍🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰USG
What's up Mr Craig
hey how are you
HEY THATS MY NAME
I don't understand right handed use right handed reel i do anyways
ocean catfish
For the life of me I can not figure out how to throw a cast net. It kills me.
Gaff topsail catfish with knots on head is a disfigurement from nothing it just happens.
That last fish was a spawning male
If other fighter planes beat up f 35 badly, it would look like that last gaff top from front.
Probably tumors from all the crap in the river.
That's a spawning male gafftop
Lumpy gafftop
That’s a freak
I will never understand why people care which side another person keeps their reel handle on. You do you, and let them do them
His spin reel is set for a right hander. Right handers crank with their right hand and hold the rod in the left. Same with a bait caster.
