No, I believe your PS4 has HDMI output, right? You need a device that will be the other way around, HDMI to RCA.
have a dilemma here. Bought a brand new 2019 kenwood radio dnx996xr and want an hd camera . this one in particular Kenwood CMOS-740HD 1280x720 HD Rear Camera System. however it works only on their 2020 model? can i use this converter along with an hd tvi converter to hdmi and will work?

You can use this device to hook up old gadgets to a new TV (with HDMI video input). Not the other way around.
Hello. I'm planning on buying my first AV receiver but the models I'm looking at no longer offer video analog connections for VCR. So can I use this device instead to connect it to one of the AVR's HMDI inputs?
This converter takes the AV signal and turns it into HDMI so you can connect to a HDMI monitor. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
@@DailyCoolGadgets I'm not sure either. But if I had a TV that still has component inputs, and HDMI, then maybe I won't have to worry. I can still connect the VCR to the TV and have the AVR receive audio from either the TV or the VCR.

This device has HDMI output, not input. If your HDMI is not working, this device will not help you in any way.

@@ValerieBooher Yes, you need a an adaptor that will convert the HDMI signal to whatever signal you want (VGA, RCA, etc.) in cause your HDMI port is not working anymore on your TV.

my canon camera has a av output (3.5 mm jack) so since my 4k tv has rca input i bought a cable that has 3.5mm jack to rca...that didnt seem to work, the only thing that did work was putting the canon to a vcr to the tv that worked but i couldnt find the control to the vcr to change the type of aux input, so why didnt the camera worked and the vcr did? i saw your camera has rca output and you have a cable that has rca both ends does your tv not have rca? did you try it? was the converter the reason you bought it because the rca from the tv didnt work? please let me know as i have been wanting to get a converter to watch old old old small little mini vhs tapes which i think are called "mini dv" i dont want to buy a vhs tape adapter as i dont trust the old vcr and will probably end up eating the tape
My monitors do not have RCA input. Using a converter like the one in the video helped me connect old devices with RCA output to any HDMI enabled monitor.
If your TV has RCA input, maybe you should look into why your TV does not receive the RCA signal. Try the user manual or try finding on the web by searching similar problems with that TV model.
Your cable that has 3.5mm jack to RCA, you could plug those RCA's into this device, then use an HDMI cable to the HDMI input on your 4k TV. Also, if your VCR works but has no remote, use the buttons on the VCR itself, sometimes located behind a flip down door. Usually, hit the channel down button and when you go below Ch.2 you should see aux/input 1 or 2, or maybe front or rear depending on how many inputs on the VCR. Or, there might be a button directly for input select on the VCR.

Thanks for the video. I bought one of these today and it didn't seem to work well when I tried to use it with my ps2 + tv. The image quality was poor, and also I had some visual artifacts. I also ordered a monitor the other day, which is supposed to arrive in a couple days. Can I expect better results on the monitor or should I just get a refund?
Not sure if you will have better results on the monitor. Maybe it's better if you wait and see for yourself. I never tried a PS2 with my converter and I don't know how it's supposed to work with that game console.

You just follow the direction the video signal goes. If your console has RCA/AV output and your TV has HDMI input, then you need an adapter that will convert RCA/AV signal to HDMI. So, you need this exact device from this video you just watched :)

Most old record players need a pre-amp. You could connnect the record player to an old amp or receiver with phono input and hook that to this device or to the soundcard of your computer.
When I connect it to N64, the screen glitches and doesn't appear properly. Essentially unplayable. Any fix?

How exactly do you want this to work with a computer? If you hook it up to a monitor, it should work just fine. If you are trying to plug the HDMI cable into your video card, that will definitely not work. You will need a capture card if you want to record the output of the HDMI signal.

What type of phone do you have? I bet your phone doesn't have RCA video output :))
Was just wondering, I accidentally brought this when I should have got Av as the input to Hdmi as output. Would it still work?
If you have AV input to HDMI output, then you have no problem, you can use this device. So, if you have an old AV device and you want to convert the video signal to HDMI. The other way around doesn't work, you will need another device.

This converter. does not work. All I get is audio, but no video, only a blue screen. Tried cables sold as a unit from the same manufacturer. Tried switching the yellow with the red cable. All to no avail.
Not sure if you are doing something wrong or if your specific device is faulty, but as you can see in the video, mine works perfectly.

Pretty worthless video. No explanation, you brought a black cord out of nowhere after unwrapping the white cord from the package that you never used. Huh???
The white USB power cable was very small and I used a longer cable I had lying around. I thought that was pretty self explanatory.

Follow the signal flow. This is RCA > HDMI.
If your home theater has HDMI output, you will need to convert your HDMI audio to RCA, so you will need a converter that will do HDMI > RCA.
Not sure what setup you have there, but follow the signal flow and you'll have your answer.
