BOKOR NATIONAL PARK, CAMBODIA | Must visit when in Kampot! Scary Hotels, Beautiful Temples & Clouds!

We’re back with our SE Asia vlog series and this week we take a day trip from the chilled centre of Kampot in the South of Cambodia to Bokor National Park. A National Park like no other we’ve ever visited! It was worth it just to escape the oppressive heat in the city as the temperature is a lot cooler at the peak of Bokor summit which sits 1079m above sea level.
The windy 32km road to the top was perfect for exploring on our scooter. As well as seeing some very cool abandoned royal residences, we also visited some impressive temples and a trip to Bokor wouldn’t be complete without a stop off at La Bokor Palace hotel. The weather added to the creepy feel of this place which actually has some really interesting history which we explain in this video. Before leaving we stopped off for a hot drink at Thansur Sokha hotel. Another very interesting and slightly spooky hotel 👻

What a fascinating place! The Hotel looked like something off a film and definitely had a strange vibe about it - it was very much like The Shining! Loved the monks playing their loud music - all in all a very intriguing place. Thanks again for another brilliant video and can’t wait for the next one 🙂
