it's amazing how my grandparents were brought up in families with over 8 kids each. during the great depression. and yet managed to feed them and my great grandfather's were the soul support for their family.
since then I've seen my mother in my teens get a job and now you barely make due with two incomes. and who can we thank for that? The corporations and this government that sees us as dollar signs. it's all about keeping us in debt and earnings off of interest, money we pay to have things they sell us at set value but after paying an extra 20% we can then own. it used to be we could save enough to make purchases and pay for them. but how can they keep their foot on the necks of working folks if they have savings?

A few days ago, I attended my mother-in-law funeral. She has 9 children with their own set of children and grandchildren, and a few great-grandchildren. We celebrated her life, shared stories of moments with her, met the new babies and congratulated the ones that are coming in the near future. No money in the world, no fame or world recognition will ever be enough to replace the power of a family. Families are forever.
That’s a wonderful story I needed to hear.
Unfortunately, my present day family of 5 want nothing to do with me. I’ll be 68 in November and the other 4 living members hate me. I may understand that if I was a hardened criminal but that’s not the case. I’m a good man. My chilhood was misplaced.

Most people in their 30s unmarried may be in a relationship but don't want kids because of costs. My younger brother has been in a relationship for 7 years, rented the same house, which he could buy, for 4 years. But him and his now fiance, don't want to pay for anything. Take that plummeting growth to yourself. If you come from a immigrant family I understand why you want to feel that way but its not true. Immigration has negative effect for home cost and growing families.
