What happened to this game? I remember playing it all the time as a kid, my grandma used to have the first game on her laptop and I later convinced her to get the second one after figuring out it existed. It's a shame Popcap doesn't seem to acknowledge Bookworm anymore, I'd say this was one of their finest games.

Use to be on Steam for sale but yeah, it vanished. No idea what EA/Popcap are doing but I bet they'll probably do a Bookworm mobile game at some point because, well, that's all EA ever seems to do with Popcap... Who knows.

I believe it was taken off because newer versions of Windows couldn't support it. Still a pity though, would like to maybe see a remaster of these games in the future but given the current state of PopCap Games it seems rather unlikely.

@@lezzei Sorry to disappoint, but all hope is probably lost. The Bookworm series is dead. It was discontinued back in 2016 as it was "unprofitable". It's a shame, as this game isn't only really good, but educational as well. Not to mention the fact that it shaped many of our childhoods.
