- Today we're building the OpenRC GoKart! This is a full build video from start to finish including electronics installation, realistic motor cover install, metal axle upgrade and a belt drive upgrade as well. This was a budget-friendly build and here are some of the parts we used:
35T 540 Motor and ESC combo: rcprinter.com/products/540-mo...
Servo: rcprinter.com/products/mg996r...
Radio: rcprinter.com/products/flysky...
Bearings: rcprinter.com/collections/bul...
If you're looking to build one of these yourself you can find the files here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:385...
If you're interested in 3D printing your own RC vehicles check out our build kits at www.rcprinter.com

Brilliant work, dude! Really well done! 😃
Now you need to 3d print a pilot! How about a... Mario? 😬
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks Man, Mario is a great idea!
Very cool! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Ciao, davvero bello è soprattutto bravo !!
thanks!
SO NEEDS A NITRO MOTOR!!!!!!😂
That would definitely be more realistic
Can you add a link for the upgraded rear axle and belt upgrades. Loving this build! Thank you!
Great work, 3d printers are really awesome
Agreed!
Nice video
Thanks!
Spettacolare... ciao dall'Italia
Ciao e grazie!
Great work any chance you could do a Forklift?
That would be fun!
where did you get the wheels and tires?
Thanks for uploading this video.
Is it okay for you if I put a link into the files on printables? I hope you enjoy the Kart :-)
Yes for sure! Thank you so much for all your work on this project! I found that the files for the project on printables were less complete than the ones on thingiverse which is why I put those ones in the description.
What is the scale(size) of GoKart?
Please provide a link for the wheels and tires. Thank you
The tires are the F104 tire option from the openrc F1 car with 3d printed rims: rcprinter.com/products/f104-tires-for-openrc-f1-front-and-rear
@@rcprinter what about the link to the rims please. Also noticed a few have asked about the air filter on the motor. This looks awesome and finishes off the engine perfectly. Can you please provide a link for the air filter. Love your work, thank you and I will have many hours of fun with my new toy!
Where you get the drive belt.

What wheels/Tires did you Use?
Yeah, they have a mold parting line down the middle, so probably not printed.

@@rcprinter Cheers!
Please mount a GoPro camera in the seat for an amazing FPV video!
That would be cool!
Could you please provide the gear ratio and the motor specs...
I used this brushed motor/esc combo: rcprinter.com/products/540-motor-60a-esc-combo-kit . You should use a 16T pulley and the 3D printed belt drive gear has somewhere around 70 teeth I think.
Where’s Mario for it?
future upgrade for sure
Belts are less efficient than direct-drive gears. No need to use a belt since you are not using a jackshaft.
A real karting has a tubular chassis, it would have been nice to do it in 3D printing...
You do it.
Not a bad idea!
I recommend you watch these videos;Go-Kart 3D Printed RC and Go-Kart 3DPrint 2 of my channel in one I learned the difference between TPU 84a and normal TPU apart from modifying the design several times to get more control of steering wheel turn, I also designed a helmet and a custom articulated dummy that also moved the head by means of a servo, in the helmet he has a "gopro" with a custom hole to put an FPV camera, I would like to see your version of the rider, of tires, see you try the FPV and finally I recommend a Gyro is the difference Nowadays my kart is very different from how it was proposed, and I have learned a lot about steering, geometries of the RC world and settings apart from designing in 3D and adjusting the printer
@nqhmx uno así para el canal. Saludos 🤗
Thanks!
