Food domination behavior in female Princess Parrot.

Zephyr, my female Princess Parrot, just loves her egg whites in the morning. I don't feed them egg whites every day. They're more like a once-a-week treat which makes them even more desirable I'm sure. She loves them so much that she hogs them her mate, Zeus. Notice how she gobbles the egg whites down as quickly as possible. Part of this, I believe, is that the warm egg whites are at the same temperature and consistency as crop milk would be, so it triggers the "baby" in her, and she starts jerking her neck like babies do when they're being fed. The other reason she does this is that she wants to gobble the egg whites down so Zeus doesn't get any. She enforces her dominance over the egg whites by flapping her wings if he gets anywhere near them and occasionally will nip at him or rush at him (charging like a bull). These two are hilarious! She eventually lets him eat but in this and in every meal, she likes to have everything to herself for the first two minutes.
