Because I'm not really that into the crazy metal rock sound built around the absolutely frenetic chart. This track is great, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer Kawai Sprite's style overall. To be honest, I still haven't heard a mod track I like more than even some of my least favorite base game tracks.
(Also I have no experience with Madness Combat so that detail doesn't mean anything to me.)

Little disappointed he didn't experience this all through gameplay first.
I mean, with any luck he doesn't know the... "qualities" of some of the notes in Phase 3 and 4 yet.
I think the main reason he's doing so well is because it's crazy he can perfectly capture the drumbeat of a song blind, so if he had already listened to or played the song that would really defeat the objective.

I imagine he wouldn't have enjoyed the song nearly as much (and wouldn't have been able to bring such an emotion-packed blind cover of the song) if he had to suffer through the unfair difficulty. Amazing song with an amazing method of difficulty to it, but it can detract from the song if you just repeatedly fail.
I don't know how skilled he is playing the game, so I wouldn't be able to know if he'd be able to easily pull off beating the song or not, but considering most people can't (and for good reason), I would imagine that this was a better way of things.

He pulls a set amount of percent... for example when he reaches 50% of the song, he pulls 30% of your life bar (those are examples, those numbers are not real)
I love it when it reaches the end of the song he pulls 85% of your life bar so if you don't have that much... you're dead
not even that, at the end its supposed to kill you instantly cause it does 100% but since ur hitting notes ( hopefully ) he actually doing less.
