I already posted about this, but since I have his name now- I'll post it here, too: Koen Entringer. Most amazing thing I've seen in a very long time. Sure, he missed the initial tackle? But everyone else just gave up, he got back up, and was WAY behind that kick returner, AND CAUGHT HIM!
Insanely amazing he's not the talk of this post, imo.

I looked at the roster on Iowa's website. That is Koen Entringer, from Ypsilanti, Michogan.
Listening to these highlights, I was shocked that his effort was NOT mentioned. And, the announcers mentioned the returner getting tired. Entringer ran a lot further. Very nice effort. But ... would have been nicer had he made the tackle at the other end of the field!
Very defensive game. Not a big surprise that Iowa had little offense. Their defense gave Michigan problems. This film will be studied a lot by Michigan's next opponent. Texas? Bama? FSU?

Iowa needs to show their players for forever the play@2:10 for effort and never giving up on a play. #4 missed originally and was the furthest player back at one point but chased him all the way down the field and saved 6 points! Amazing effort!

I’m proud of my Hawkeyes defense, the 2 touchdowns they scored were combined for 11 yards if that didn’t happen Iowa’s defense would have never let them score a touchdown, nice reminder we kept them under 215 yards. Our defense is truly something probably top 5
only problem with that reference is that if those situations didn't happen then the game would have played different. The plays called would be different the reactions would be different so the game wasn't lost because of only that stat.

When I watched some of the shows before & after Michigan games, it appears to me that there are many people that really don't like Michigan and I never understood that. At the same time, whether Alabama or Texas are undefeated or not, there seems to be a whole lot of love for them everywhere! Florida State also, tend to get a lot of hatred and anger sent their way as well and I never understood that either! Not that it really matters though, because I know that many people enjoy wasting their time and lives hating others and I myself, sincerely hope and pray that both the Michigan Wolverines and the Florida State Seminoles continue to do and be Great Champions of their respective Conferences for as long as they exist!! I never attended either school, but I began watching U of M back in the 70's when my mother was watching Bo's Wolverines were going to "The Grand Daddy of them All," The Rose Bowl!! I began talking an interest in FSU during the 1980's!! It would be Great to see both of them on top and even face each other for the National Championship!! 😊😊😊
Pros and Cons of having an intense rivalry, your team has lot of religious fans and lot of religious haters. People have cousins or someone from OSU, so when they watch games with them, they root against Michigan too. At the same time, lot of people like me know students from Michigan who turn on TV to watch every match, so we root for them.
Iowa Number 4 missed the tackle of the Michigan kickoff returner but ran him down before he could score. Great effort. Never quit!

Kirk Ferentz is always overlooked when it comes to legendary coaches in college football. He has kept this program relevant the last 15 years. He has outshined more historically polarizing mid-west schools like Purdue, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma in his era. I'm not going to lie there are games like this that make you forget how good he is.

This defense won this game. The o-line and offense had nothing all game. 3 of their drives were starting at the 3, 7, and 15 yard line with a fourth short 23-yard drive resulting in 20 of those 26 points. Offense has been mostly underwhelming for 4 consecutive weeks. Barely managed 200 total yards this week. We will see if this defense can continue to prop them up against the top 4, but I think JJ or someone on offense has to step up and make some more plays if they are going to win out. I don't know if they can continue living on games with 3-4 big plays on offense. Defense wins championships, but not when the offense can't stay on the field.

5:16 how the same play in this game was ruled a fumble, but in the game *Oregon vs Washington* in the 4th quarter was called an incomplete. Very inconsistent refereeing calls with the same hand movement going forward from the quarterback in these two match ups. 🤔
