- Citizens of Anvilania, I stand before you because if I was standing behind you, you couldn't see me!
A quirky little game based on the TV show of the same name. I'd say this fits right in with the typical "activity center" type games that were prevelant in the 90s, but to be honest, it kind of doesn't. It's more or less five arcade styled games that have a flavor of mid-90s edutainment in terms of visuals. It's pretty dang good, at that. If I had seen the show as a kid, I can tell you I would have loved this game. It fits right in with the spirit of the show, including having the original cast reprise their roles, and the visuals are very lively and bouncy. The only thing that leaves something to be desired is the sound design, as it's pretty repetitive and doesn't always fit very well.
There are five games included in this pack, and I showed them all to their fullest at the best of my ability.
Prop Shop Drop: A 9-level auto scrolling game that I don't have much to say about. Getting the props does nothing but increase your score so I tried play it safe rather than going for them all the time.
Tee Off Minigolf: A pretty standard minigolf game. I do think it holds your hand a little too much and it's a little hard to judge how hard to hit the ball but overall I did alright.
Smoocher: This best resembles Mario Bros. (the arcade game), particularly with the TNT in place of the POW block. I made it through every level before things start repeating so I didn't mind dying on level 9.
Baloney's Balloon Pop: The only game in the collection to be directly based off a short from the show ("Baloney and Kids"). It's your pretty basic Breakout clone. I probably played this longer than I really needed to, but I wanted to show off every feature the game has (that I'm aware of anyway), and that included the rubber bumpers which don't appear until stage 11.
Belchinator Too: The most intricate and involved game in this collection, and honestly one that could have been sold as its own product had it been a bit longer. It appears to take some inspiration from Zombies Ate My Neighbors on the SNES. This is also a pretty difficult game beginning with the fifth level; you will notice I save pretty egregiously beginning with that area. I also edited out any clips where I got a Game Over so it appeared to be a "perfect" run, but believe me when I say it was far from it. In fact, if you want to see all the cases I got a Game Over, just check the high score screen at the end. I actually Game Overed so many times that I quit bothering putting my name on the list.
Hope you enjoy the walkthrough! - Hry
You gotta love how they got the actual voice cast as well!
Love how "Baloney's Balloon Bop" is followed up after "Smoocher", because of "Smoocher" mentioning anvils in the storyline, and then Baloney's Balloon Bop using anvils as a gameplay gimmick.
Not Even Spongebob Could Do That Usually someone else had to voice mr krabs!
@zareh1234 studios Yeah the original actors didn't sing it the demo version proves it
@@OpiupAlmaManiac it's the actual cast. Skip ahead to the credits at the end of this video. All the actors from the show performed these voices.

I wish there was a higher quality version of Dot's song from Tee Off. It's probably the most obscure, but official, Animaniacs song.
If there does exist one, then I would love to know lol.

Foxy: Now it's up to you! Click on an icon and have some fun.

Yep

Yup. I got my video, Yakko's world but help me prepared as well. Hope they make a reboot Yakko's world.
He means the Animaniacs revival?
@@DennisTamayo // Yep.
I love how the music is composed with the E-mu Proteus 2. It makes it sound so Thomas and Friends-esque and I love that so much. As great as the original music, classic 90s synth and sampler music is my jam nowadays!

@@MrEightThreeOne what about the Goddamn George Liquor Program?
Even then the ones on new grounds were kinda better
This remains one of my favorite 90s games to this day. I have a virtual Win2k machine for legacy games and this (and The Incredible Machine) are the two I play most when I boot it up.
I am so happy I can rewatch this video when I was a tiny or medium girl, wow… Time sure flies :)

I can't believe that it's been over 20 years since I played this game. This was one of my favorite games when I was a little kid.
2:02 times like these make me think he's wearing a well tailored potato sack
One of the very few Animaniacs games where they had the actual theme song... kinda
In Tee Off, if you hit the ball way off the left or right side of the screen, there are several different animations of Animaniacs characters getting hit by it. Might be worth looking at on the off chance you revisit this game.
That was my favorite part, honestly.
Did you know that in "Smoocher", if you blew a kiss and hit yourself with one you'd be invincible for a few seconds?
I didn't know that. Is that a bug or is it intentional?
@@MrEightThreeOne I read it somewhere online as if it were like a cheat or something.
@@MrEightThreeOne I was gonna mention how you can actually have Yakko bounce around the floor, provided that Baloney wasn't within hugging reach, and that you can use your the power you have (Super Yakko, Ice Balloons, and Fire Yakko) to attack Baloney and get extra points. I looks to me you already know that.
Interesting how this random licensed game not only retains the same humor from the show, but also manages to bring in the entire cast to do their respective voices. I just find that neat, regardless of the game's actual quality. I mean, I haven't played it, so how should I know?
Also, Dot's song at the beginning of Tee Off Minigolf is pretty catchy. Shame it's probably the most obscure Animaniacs song... well, ever.
56:17 about time they're starting up my favorite game out of these five games.
Like the dialogue in the intro and outro. Rare moment where the Warners actually interact with Pinky and the Brain.

1:35 that’s messed up
You do realize that the effects of fire, Super and ice can hurt Baloney for more points, right?
Yes. IIRC I demonstrated it with fire, not sure I did with ice but when you hit him you lose the power-up effect. Besides that, I'm not sure the phrase "what's your high score on Baloney's Balloon Bop?" has ever been uttered.
Say, in Animaniacs Game Pack!, whenever you go to each game by clicking on its icon and the screen takes you there, I was wondering, can you skip the opening cutscene?
Yes, you can

man the intro has seen better days
Yo this game so good whit the quality
I came here looking for the prop shop drop intros (that no one else really seems to do) since I am not good at that game at all.
See I still have the cd and was able to get music and sounds from the files, however not everything, especially since the 9th level music wasn't on there(Didn't even know there were more than 8) I wonder is 9 the last one? from this video I guess it is since you got that ending scene.
Other audio from the game I had to record myself, and still can't get rid of the background computer hiss as whenever there is no music the background noise is not there either so I can't isolate and remove it, but I'm glad someone put this up(and did well too)
So thanks

Imagine if Wakko says we have to find a color key or the off switch, the Bowser's Message music plays.
I wish there was a way to play this game now. I found it on Amazon, but it’s a CD Rom so I doubt I can still play it. I have a laptop that doesn’t have a disc drive. Are there any other options?
Maybe installing a Virtual Box with Windows 95 and then searching the game, it would be illegal but i don't think there's other way to play it without a disc drive.
@@kazkamiikaze its techicaly not illegal if allraedy baught a copy at some point and lost it later plus its going to fall with abandon ware soon in some countrys it allready is.
Just curious, how are u recording this?
I'm still playing this on Windows 10 via XP emulator but its slightly laggy?
Gr8 flashback vid =)
This is being played on a real, no-kidding 90s computer! I have it fed into a VGA-to-HDMI converter which then goes into a capture card. Trying to get old games to run on modern computers became such a hassle for me that I haven't bothered with it in ages.
@@MrEightThreeOne very nice. I'm playing this on my Ryzen 3700X PC by Oracle Virtualbox
You'll need a windows OS ISO from a disc etc and set it up on the virtualbox then it'll emulate any windows operating system
Ofc you''ll need a CD drive to play it on newer PC's now
I can finish Belchinator from start to finish no saving with 40+ body armor and Belch Shields
=D
Hope that I've helped u out someway
@@MrPenguin292 Haha, nice. I'm good and well familiar with many emulators, but back when I used them, VirtualBox was usually one of my last choices. VBox is aimed more at the workstation market, intended to be an open source alternative to VMware. It might do okay with Windows XP-era games, but in general my experience with Windows 9x era games was pretty abysmal with it. It doesn't help either that it doesn't officially support running a Windows 9x guest either so it's super slow and crippled when doing so. Windows XP will definitely give you better results playing 9x games than, say, Vista onward, but it's still a bit of a coin toss if the game will work or not.
Generally, when I emulated 90s PCs I stuck to DOSBox and PCem. These days, with me now having a job and my own living space, I'm more than capable of affording and maintaining old computers (plus I live pretty close to the legendary Computer Reset so that definitely helped back when it was in business), and there's no method more tried-and-true than using the hardware the games were originally designed for, so I've largely left my days of emulating old computers behind. Of course I get that that is not at all in the realm of possibility for most people, but PCem has been showing a ton of promise and I do hope for it to become the de-facto 90s computer emulator in the future.

Animaniacs Game Pack - Theme Song (UK DVD)
Way better than Molly of Denali and post-Arthur PBS Kids shows and Hailey's On It. I can't believe Animaniacs Reboot is dead, and Hailey's On It debuts on the same year, 2023! One more thing...
Dot Warner: It should've take a Brain to this one out
The Brain the Mouse: I heard that, silly puppycat woman
As a kid I would have loved to play a game like this I also think that the version of the theme song herd in this game also really good and something that I just noticed was that at the end of the song once they sing Animaniacs they don't sing those are the facts like they do at the end of the show's version of the intro I also love how they actually managed to have most of the voice cast reprise there respective character voices from the show in this game that alone is really cool and makes this game all the more special also when did ths game come out I was curious and just wanted to know what year did this game come out in ?
nostalgia
Remastering this game for modern versions of Windows wouldn't hurt, especially with the reboot out.
This doesn't sound like a very feasible idea. This is far from the most popular Animaniacs game and it represents a bygone era of computer gaming that largely fell out of favor in the mid 2000s. Plus, while the reboot has contributed to renewed interest, this subgenre of computer games was generally aimed at younger kids. While it's more arcade-y compared to most examples (like the Disney Activity Center series), the only proper audience I see for this is nostalgic fans that grew up playing it, as kids' games today have largely ignored computers in favor of smart phone apps with only a scant few exceptions.
@@MrEightThreeOneIf smartphone apps are more favored, then how about porting it to iOS/Android? That wouldn't be a bad idea, considering Animaniacs hasn't gotten an official game on portable devices yet (plus, it wouldn't take much effort to simply port a game). That must sound more feasible, right?
Dot: im pooped .classic!
