yeah the people hating after literally one hour of him is wild like- i personally like what i've seen of 15 so far (tbh i'm biased cuz my first impression of him is that he was born and pretty much the first thing he did, after saving the world of course, is go for the most wholesome and comforting hug with my comfort character (14) ofc i like him) but a lot of these far too early opinions are just giving me the idea that people are wayyy too obsessed with having opinions, you don't have to love or hate everything the moment you first laid eyea on it there's this little thing called being neutral...
Yeah but because the marketing for his Doctor was SOO early, it does feel like he's been in the role for ages already. So I think it's not unreasonable for people to ask this question because without thinking about it, it's easy to mistake him for having been around for ages
The New Who Doctors have all had three seasons each. Except Eccleston. But I get why he only did Series 1. So, will Gatwa keep the 3 season tradition, or go longer? Only time will tell.
Not just New Who, half of the classic Doctors did too - Hartnell, Troughton, Davison, and McCoy. The only exceptions are Pertwee (5 seasons), the Bakers (7 & 2 seasons), McGann (movie), and Eccleston (1 series).
With a lower episode count I really hope he gets more than 3 seasons. They’ve already filmed 2 and we haven’t even started watching season 1 yet it’s insane. We’ll get 5 out of him in no time.
Hopefully he'll break the tradition of 3 series. I'd love him to stick around for 4 or 5 honestly, as many as he wants. I've always wondered if at some point in the future we get a 7 year tenure like Tom Baker.

I feel like this would make sense for him stayin as the Doctor for a while. I mean, eight episodes for three seasons? That would be 8 × 3. So it's 24 episode with three christmas specials. It would make sense for him to stay a while, and i feel like he could be possibly four seasons. And if we're lucky, it might be five season. But lets not get ahead of ourselves.
