AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on CZcams are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

You folks are a breath of fresh air (pun intended). It makes me happy when I see a new posting as it is an escape from all of the petty, self absorbed, know-nothings who sit in their moderator chairs and complain about absolutely everything. Sean, you're bouncing around in the snow saying "This is one of my favroite times of the year". Kristy, you're absolutely joyful to see a Mother Moose and her young encountering their first snowfall. Keep up that absolutely fantastic work. As for new adventures, I'll go anywhere you take me.

We have gone to Yellowstone in late August only because things close down after Labor Day. But it is a good time because families are heading back home for school so it is less crowded. We also make an annual pilgrimage to Quartzsite in January. Maybe this year we will extend our trip and go to Monument Valley. We camp all year long since we are still mostly weekend campers. We live in Southern California and are lucky to have good weather most of the time. Thanks for these videos, they are very informative and fun! We found Gros Ventre thru you guys - my favorite campground! 😁

I think that situation where you were held up in Yellowstone was so pretty. Snow coming down and the whole parking lot to yourself. However it also is a great lesson for all of us. Do you have emergency heat? Enough Propane, Fuel for the Generator food for 2-3 days etc. Evey time we get one Airstream propane tank empty , well your Alaska run out overnight comes to my mind. I also Love Fall travel, It's my favorite time of year. Summer is the worse for us. The intense summer heat can cause stress on the rigs and people.

we love spring and fall RV Camping, but especially fall. Summer construction season is over, roads are the best they are all year. Tourist volume is down, insects are way less vigorous. thankfully more and more places are realizing that there are a lot of us that love to travel in fall, and are starting to stay open a bit later in the year. But hey, I like being in my trailer any time of year. Safe travels....

My favorite season is whenever/wherever the temperature is somewhat comfortable. In southern Maine, we de-winterize in mid to late April and re-winterize in mid-October, but we've been known to take a trip down south in winter. One of my brothers likes to go to Daytona in February. He de-winterizes in the campground at SOB and re-winterizes there on the return trip. If you've ever driven I-95 through the Carolinas, you know the SOB billboards. "It's a smash hit!" with a crushed Vega below it. "Keep yelling kids, they'll have to stop!"

Hi, lovely couple. I agree that Fall is the best month for RV travel. Imperative that one keeps an eye on the weather though, especially at elevation. But oh, those Aspens and those Maples and Oaks and all the rest up in the NE. I grew up in CT. The brilliant leaves and the quaint town centers with their white churches and tall steeples. Ahhhh....

Back when I was working I did either Memorial Day or Labor day weekend to get an extra day of vacation due to the holiday. I prefer leaving after the first of September. The changing Aspens are always nice. Maybe 10 years ago I was in Stanley ID in early June. I awoke to an 1/8" of snow on my truck. Later that day I ran into a brief but heavy snow at Galena Pass while trying to find a hot spring.

I love wherever it's 75 degrees... my husband is more adventurous. A fun one for us was The Springs at Borrego RV Resort in Borrego Springs, CA. There's also the less expensive Anza- Borrego Desert State Park and the Palm Canyon Campground. Borrego is a cute, small town with quirky shops, snow birds from Montana and Canada, and a lot of fun desert hikes.
I'm a college basketball fan, but enjoyed the football game videos because as you said, it's not about football. It's about the small towns and community.

In the northwest - Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Wyoming - one of the best times to visit is late spring / early summer starting in early June. This is the best time for constantly improving weather while avoiding wildfire smoke. Later into the summer and throughout early fall, smoke can be terrible. Just plan to make sure that any high passes, like North Cascades Highway or the Going to the Sun Road will be open when you arrive.

We have been following you two since 2019ish and still regularly watch your new releases. You asked what is our favorite season…WINTER!!! We winter in the Rockies, Wasatch or Sierra Nevada’s to ski. We spend 4-ish months skiing, while parked in a full hookup resort. It is amazing time to be in the mountains and we ski Mon - Fri non-holiday. It is a great life. We get it that not everyone loves skiing or being cold, but there are amazing resorts that bring you close to a wonderful winter world. We spend the other 7 months visiting state, National and Provincial parks in North America. Keep up the good work, travel safely and many many happy trails

I start full timing in about 5 years, and this is exactly what I want to do. I want to park it at a mountain in the winter and spend the season skiing. Are there plenty of resorts open to park your rig or is it slim pickings where you have to make reservations way in advance? Do you stay at the same resort every year, or are there multiple resorts that have RV parking somewhat nearby so that I can choose to vary my ski locations either year or by year, or even within a season?

We have been Summer campers for many years. We are Ontarians and therefore summer is a great time to camp, especially not far from where we live. Swimming, Boating, Canoeing and Hiking are all great activities while camping. For the last 11 summers we've had a travel trailer with AC. We normally only really need it a couple of nights per season. Occasionally, I would put it on to take an afternoon nap, or if our dog need to be left in the trailer for an hour or so. This summer was our first international trip, into Michigan. 55 years ago, my family did our first real camping trip through Michigan when I was 10 years old. Our Tent Trailer was a SEARS Soft Top without electricity or water. Just a Tent on a Box, on wheels. We stayed in 3 campground that I stayed in on that very first trip. Only one night of AC.
For Ontario and many of the northern US State summer is the time.
We have done some spring camping, once heading into southern Ontario and once heading up to Lake Superior in early June. The bugs can be tough that time of year.
We have also done some Fall camping which we have enjoyed. The nice thing about the fall, is you get campfires in the dark! In the summer, it can be 9:00-10:00pm before the sunset and it is properly dark. We have one short trip planned for early Fall, and I'm think of another in October.
We want to go West next year and I think an August time would be best. Your comments about some of the Northwestern States makes sense.
Our camper is NOT set up for Cold Weather Camping. At least our water system isn't. We also have been storing our Trailer indoors for the winter, and winterize the water system. It would be impractical to get it out of storage.
However, 2 Provincial Parks in our area have Winter Camping (Roads and Campsites are plowed). Mew Campground in Algonquin Park has had it for years. We love to winter hike not far from the campground and love walking through and seeing what other do. Some use their Trailers without using their water systems, and some camp in Hot Tents (Wood Furnace in the tent) The campground builds a skating rink, with a Wood Heated Tent to warm up. The Comfort Station with showers is fully operation all winter. Arrowhead Park has just introduce winter camping, both in campsites and cabins. Again the Comfort Station is operational. They have great winter skiing and snowshoeing. Also they build a Skating Trail on one of the Loops where in the summer you camp. For the first time in my life, I skated UP and DOWN Hill. It is a wonderful experience. We have a Season's Pass to all Provincial Parks and love to explore in all seasons.
Next year, I am sure that we will do some Spring, Summer and Fall Camping.

Living in North Alabama in Shaun's original home town, the wife and I usually head south in the winter months and North in the spring. Usually take the granddaughters to a state park here in Alabama during the summer. Did take a trip to North Georgia mountains during the first of December. Got down to 19 degrees and had snow on the ground the morning that we were leaving out! First experience snow RVing!

We prefer early fall. Just after Labor Day because kids are back in school and crowds are gone. We love the change of season and the colors of fall. Living in the northern Midwest we have to winterize our RV so we head south in the fall, winterize on our way home and impatiently wait through the subzero temps of winter so we can get back out there in the spring.

we've had, for the most part, a very mild summer here in east teXas this year. it's only 89 degrees with 64% humidity right now. now a couple of days ago it did top out at 109/94 so hence the 'for the most part' but it is relatively nice this year. so far....

89/64 is nice? I think you need to head indoors, the heat is cooking your head =) I'm mostly kidding, but that's absolutely disgusting weather, I'm sweating just thinking about it.

@@andrewfidel2220 yes, 89 degress with 64% percent humidity in the month of August.!. that is what it is at night most of the time in August here in east teXas. last summer we topped out over 100 38 days in a row. so yeah, i'll take 89/64 and think it's absolutely wonderful. especially since this week is supposed to be back to 100+ pretty much every day.

Although we travel more in summer, mostly to events and family gatherings, my preferred time of the year is what I call,”Septober” the middle of September to the middle of October. We’re in northern Minnesota, so even traveling too far from home in fall, getting back home has gotten us in trouble arriving here too late in the season.
Thanks for your years of experience and wonderful presentations about RV travel.

I live in Michigan, so try to go south in the spring, then we camp in the lower peninsula of Michigan in late spring to early summer. Early fall (to us is late August to September) we like to go into the upper peninsula of Michigan (much cooler, but the mosquitos, deer flies, horse flies and midges are pretty much gone). We may camp in the southern areas of Michigan in October to November, but have to winterize before the freezing temps arrive. Really enjoy your channel!
